Romanian people claim to be Christian, attending church, praying to God, and observing other Christian rites and holy days. However, to deal with daily needs and issues, they also believe in and practice folk beliefs and customs, many of which are unbiblical…casting spells, witchcraft, divination, mediums and spiritists, magic, communing with the dead, and sorcery.
Many Catholics in Romania are nominal Christians who do not attend church regularly.

Invariably, and inevitably, if any people gives up the religion of its own creation to take up the religion of an alien people, it surrenders its independence and to a considerable extent its identity. For our people to have adopted Christianity was to yield up their life to the direction of Jews.

Another universalist to add to the list. One days the heresy of rootless syncretism will die out and what a nice day that will be.

Syncretism is a form of multiculturalism and universalism.

Syncretism is the blending of cultural traits or religious/spiritual beliefs from two different cultures or religious practices into a new form or expression. It creates a new form of belief or practice, non traditional to a native culture, by assimilating foreign customs into a singular and multicultural expression.

In the modern day we can see an example of cultural syncretism in the amalgamation of "American Culture"; phrases like "the melting pot" provide poignant reinforcement in modern American ideals expressed through such talking points in politics.

An examination of the heathen conversion of teutonic Europe by the Catholic church also provides vivid examples of how the church assimilated the teutonic people, absorbing once heathen beliefs and practices into Christian expressions. Christmas, Easter and many more holidays are great examples of this.

The danger of sycretism for a folkish belief system lies in the error of contextualizing a folkish belief or practice. For example, the church giving a false context to yule or Easter is what is meant by contextualizing a belief or practice from its original form and meaning.

Within heathenry today we see many forms of syncretism. Whether it is germanic folk practicing Hinduism, or using old Roman theological concepts such as interpretatio Romano- equating all gods from various cultures and belief systems and reducing such to a singular understanding or historicity. This sort of thought in practice contextualizes a traditional folkish practice and worldview into a multicultural lense that simply did not exist prior to giving it a new false meaning and context.

Culture exists within the context of one's folkish cultural belief and practice, unique to that culture and the context from which that culture arises from. Applying foreign ideas, or ascribing foreign beliefs to a folkish and multigenerational tradition can only destroy the unique cultural expression in its purest form, and replace it with a multi cultural expression by ascribing, assimilating and syncretizing two non native forms, thus creating a new tradition or expression, non existent prior to.

As folkish heathens and descendants of the teutonic tribes it is our solemn duty to protect, promote and disseminate authentic traditional forms of our customs and to adamantly reject syncretism in all of its forms and expressions.

Teutonic folk are not Greeks, nor Roman's, nor jew nor Hindu. We are a unique culture and tribe unto ourself. Embrace your culture, embrace our practice and worldview and come home to the path that our ancestors paved for us and reject the assimilation of foreign cultural and religious practices that seek to destroy your native ones.

Slavic God of Wind and Destruction Stribog is mentioned among the idols erected in Kyiv by Vladimir before his conversion. The Tale of Igor’s Campaign calls winds the progeny of Stribog in a poetic description of them blowing strongly from the sea. There are rivers and villages in Ukraine and Poland bearing His name e.g. Strzyboga.

After the christianization Stribog’s attributes and functions were transplanted to John Cassian (Kasyan) which was common in folk christianity as an attempt at preserving the cults and practices of Pagan past. As a result Cassian became the lord of winds which he holds chained and lets loose on the 29th of February (his holiday). Kasyan also kills with sight and whistling earning him the title of the unkind saint.

This (as well as linguistic and comparativistic data) paints a picture of a dangerous deity, possibly a son of Perun who is also a warrior, but a feared and warlike one.

Part of my childhood was spent on the island of Bornholm, just below the biggest castle ruin here in Northern Europe, Hammershus. I played in that castle so I was always inspired to draw knights and things like that.

I’d been making most of my toys myself and also making toys for the other kids in the small village where I came from. They were made from all kinds of things, mostly toilet paper, glue, wood and quite a lot of lead.

One of the greatest advantages of Paganism is often ignored. Unlike christians with their insane doctrine of equality and self-hatred, we can easily practice what we preach. Paganism is what built the West so it just comes very naturally with no need to adapt ourselves to the religion.

"Christianity can only be understood on the soil where it grew,—it is not a counter-movement to the Jewish instinct, it is its natural consequence, a further conclusion drawn by its terrifying logic. In the formula of the redeemer, 'salvation comes from the Jews.'"

"In Christianity, all of Judaism, a several-century-old Jewish preparatory training and technique of the most serious kind, attains its ultimate mastery as the art of lying in a holy manner. The Christian, the ultima ratio of the lie, is the Jew once more—even three times a Jew."

"This is precisely why the Jews are the most disastrous people in world history: they have left such a falsified humanity in their wake that even today Christians can think of themselves as anti-Jewish without understanding that they are the ultimate conclusion of Judaism."

— Friedrich Nietzsche (The Anti-Christ)

The Gallehus Horns

The Gallehus Horns were found in 1639 and 1734 in Denmark. Both horns consisted of two layers of gold sheet, the inner sheet of lesser quality, and the outer sheet of pure gold. The outer sheet was constructed from a number of seerings, each covered with 2nd cast figures soldered onto the rings, with yet more figures chased into the rings between the larger figures. The second horn is inscribed in protonorse using the Elder Futhark.

Historian and scientist Willy Hartner published a possible interpretation of the Cipher runes. He noted two dates that correspond to a lunar and solar eclipse that occurred in 412 and 413 c.e. These dates correspond to the germanic migration era, also known as the Völkerwanderung.

Hartner translated the second horn, which is also believed to be encoded with Cipher runes. He translated one part as:

""May I, the potion of this horn, bring help to the clan".

Another inscription reads:

"I Hlewagastiz (famous guest) Holtijaz (son of Holt) made the horn."

Plutarch notes in his Life of Agesilaus that the Spartans customarily brought their dead kings’ bodies back to Sparta, preserved in wax or honey, and that this was the treatment given to Agesilaus upon his death. The Spartans sought to bring back the body of the king in good shape, at which point the lavish burial ceremonies would take place. Presumably the king’s body would need to be preserved for the purpose of being carried out on a couch with fair coverings.

Unlike Abrahamic religions, Pagan religions are perfectly fine in being the “underdog” as in not being the most followed on a global scale. Yes, it would be fortunate to see a world in which each peoples followed their folk religion in a proper way but it is not necessary, especially since these are tribal religions that don’t concern themselves with others. Think of the loose tribal people all across the world still following their ancestral ways, it would not occur to them that they need to join the herd of Abrahamism but indeed any follower of that would make an effort to convert them.

The name for a wolf-shirt which effected the metamorphosis to a wolf was úlfahamr, and the werewolf himself was commonly known as vargr. In modern Scandinavia the term is varûlf, which has been extended to include the shape-shifting to a bear, for of all the hamrammir none were more famous than the berserkir or berserkr, the bear-sark men. Twelve berserkers were the chief followers of several kings of old, as for example the Danish King Rolf Krake, King Adils, and Harald Hárfagri. In battle the berserkers were subject to fits of frenzy (furor bersericus) termed berserksgangr, when they howled like wild beasts, foamed at the mouth, and bit through the iron rim of their shields. During these fits they were, according to popular belief, proof against steel and fire, and made terrible havoc in the ranks of the foe.

One of the things I find quite perplexing is the idea, among some self-professed pagans, that the legends of our Gods are just, quote, "stage plays for entertainment purposes only" or a general apprehension about actually believing as your ancestors did.

Some will say, "there's evidence through poetic meter, humor, etc that these were just plays lol, the marvel comics of their time."

By that same logic, the US Civil War never happened, because people reenact it out for performances with an audience 💀

Do not be afraid to believe as your ancestors did. Those who can't, should either learn how to have actual faith or go back to reddit

The gods were, in a sense, literally present in their sanctuaries. Greeks constantly, in documents and contexts of very different kinds, referred to what we would call a statue of a particular god simply by that god’s name; in representations on vases of scenes set in temples, it is often unclear whether we are looking at a statue or at an actual god. To be sure, they knew that statues were made by craftsmen from physical materials; and plain statements that statues are gods, or that gods are statues, are not to be found.

We critique Christianity pretty hard around here but this is different than critiquing Christians. Despite their views, many Christians were admirable, especially our ancestors who simply had no idea what paganism is. Today anti-paganism is much harder to justify, at least if you're identitarian.

Conversion is much more recent than people think, considering that most of your ancestors were not elites who converted first and for political purposes, but rather ordinary people who maintained pagan practices for a long time. It's significant that for half the time Europeans were Christianized they could not actually read what was in the Bible.

The process of digesting Christianity took a long time after nominal "conversion". Even today we still have not completely digested it. When you do digest it though, it looks like anti-tradition, individualism, anti-authoritarianism, contrarianism, and atheism. Most of the things that right wingers tend to appreciate about Christendom are either unrelated to Christian doctrine or are actively opposed to it. This is why many Christians were admirable: they believed as folkish pagans did, and simply slapped a Jesus sticker over it.
