The “sky”-gods of Aristotle have nothing in common with the gods of popular belief, not even their names, for Aristotle never names them. And the rest, the whole crowd of Greek anthropomorphic gods, exist only in the human imagination.
Aristotle had severed the deity from Nature and placed it outside the latter as an incorporeal being whose chief determining factor was reason.
It may seem peculiar that with Aristotle it develops into a view which we can only describe as atheism.

As regards the gods of popular belief, in his Ethics and his Politics he assumes public worship to be a necessary constituent of the life of the individual and the community.
But if we look more closely at things there is nevertheless nearly always a little “but” in Aristotle's utterances about the gods. Where he operates with popular notions he prefers to speak hypothetically or to refer to what is generally assumed; or he is content to use only definitions which will also agree with his own philosophical conception of God. But he goes further; in a few places in his writings there are utterances which it seems can only be interpreted as a radical denial of the popular religion.

Of Pluralism & Love
The 3 main schools of metaphysics are monism, dualism & pluralism. Both the 1st & 2nd focus on one, whilst the 3rd is more nuanced. Often times we hear about how true piety can only come from the first two, but I'll show simply why Pluralism is the ultimate expression of love & devotion.
Different plants have different needs. If you treat all plants the same way, many will be neglected & perish. The same is true with taking care of animals. In personal relationships, treating everyone the same sounds nice on paper until it's put in practice. When you get to know each person they have different interests, drives, dreams. Getting to know each individual & tailoring each relationship shows deep respect to each. If one views the differences in each as illusory, that's treating each no different than an NPC, therefore they'll rightfully view your relationship as no different from a typical customer service rep.
Acknowledging & accommodating differences leads to more fulfilling relationships.
Why did The Modern Platonist delete this one? I sure wonder.

There are supernatural “physical” entities that “inspire” or “breathe” emotions, feelings, thoughts into the heroes, in addition to the “air” strictly speaking that we breathe in order to survive. Homer and Hesiod could thus understand the verses as being “breathed” into their thumos or phren by the Muse (or Muses) via a material substance. This is in fact explicitly implied at Theogony when Hesiod states that the Muses breathed a divine voice into him and Homer implies the same thing at Odyssey when we are informed that the gods planted the pathways of song into the singer Phemius’ lungs before he began his song.

Only small communities can hold people accountable. Sadly modern Paganism is no longer a small community. We have tourists all over, see posers every day and, most importantly, subverters. The kind of people who have very unhealthy obsessions and want to normalize them. Some of them have been around for a long time and managed to get a following. A few are quite untouchable and you can't really do anything to stop them. But it's worth trying anyway and that's what I'm doing.

The passage plainly enough states the view that the only element of truth in the traditional notions about the gods was the divinity of the sky and the heavenly bodies; the rest is myth.

"Inclusive" heathenry* ... you mean the "people" who literally worship the enemies of our Gods, who also do, support and promote things that would have gotten you exiled or executed by our ancestors?
It is not a controversial take to suggest people who do things that would have gotten you exiled or executed, by the ancients who practiced the religion, should not be considered part of the religion.
Also, every ancient pre-axial religion was an ethno-religion, that is literally why we use ethnic prefixes to distinguish which religion we are talking about. Ergo, trying to redefine ancestral ethnic faiths into universalist ones is going against the wills of the ancestors, who were exercising the wills of their Gods. Ipso facto, universalist play-gans are anti-gods and therefore anti-pagan.
I thank the Gods that the marvel/vikings-tv-show AC & GOW play-gan larpers are leaving the Germanic Faith spheres in droves; but unfortunately, they are still a force that needs to be dealt with from time-to-time, for now.
Homeric gods are indeed “physical” entities, which explains their physical descriptions and physical interventions, including sexual intercourse with humans (a hero, by definition, must have one divine parent), and not mental processes or useful poetic conventions as some suggest.

Anyone can go to https://www.justice.gov/epstein go through the age verification and word-search plato/plotinus et al for the results on this image. The particular quote in the post is actually in the epstein files, and the reporting in the post is correct.
It is absolutely hilarious that the platonists are now using platonic-noble-lies to cover epstein's interest in plato.
I appreciate all of those lying on behalf of their prophets of the one plato shape-god for falling for a trap that can be easily corroborated. It goes to show if one follows a philosophy promoting 'noble-lies,' assume that what you're going to hear from them is exactly that.
