Australian Defence Force personnel will join the Norwegian-led Operation Legio – on the Ukrainian border – to teach basic infantry tactics, leadership and military skills, Defence Minister Richard Marles said.

- A 1980-born man was killed by an explosive device in Staromikhailovka.

- In Gorlovka's Nikitovsky district, a 1962-born man was killed and a 1961-born woman injured by the detonation of an unexploded cluster munition.

- A 1938-born man was wounded in a strike drone attack on a residential area in Makeevka's Kirovsky district.

- A 1994-born woman was injured after Ukrainian militants dropped an explosive from a drone in Debaltsevo.

- A 1978-born man was wounded in a drone attack on the Donetsk-Maryinka road.

- Residential areas in Gorlovka and Zugres were also targeted by aircraft-type strike drones.

In total, 3 civilian cars were damaged by shelling over the past day.
