According to the report, Chinese entities supplied Iran with high-resolution satellite imagery of Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan before Tehran launched a missile attack on July 17.

U.S. officials have linked the imagery to the deadly strike, which killed three American troops and wounded four others. The officials described the connection as the clearest evidence to date that support from Chinese entities for Iran has had deadly consequences for U.S. forces.

The report comes as U.S. officials continue to examine China’s support for Iran during the ongoing conflict. The alleged satellite assistance could have provided Iranian forces with detailed information about the location and layout of American military assets.

The allegations also come as concerns grow over Iran’s ability to conduct increasingly precise attacks against U.S. forces in the Middle East. Fox News reported that Chinese satellite imagery has emerged as part of broader concerns about foreign assistance potentially improving Iran’s ability to track American military positions.

Trump, meanwhile, appeared to strike a measured tone when discussing his upcoming meeting with Xi, saying the Chinese president has “behaved reasonably well” and that the United States and China have also behaved reasonably.

The outage triggered the refinery's safety ⁠flare and resulted in a shutdown.

The company said ​it is assessing the refinery's status, and the cause ​of the incident remains under investigation.

Units are being stabilized after the plant-wide shutdown, IIR Energy said in a note, adding ​the refinery is expected return to normal service ​by the end of this week.

The Joliet refinery supplies key fuels ‌to ⁠consumers in the U.S. Midwest. It can produce about 11 million gallons a day of gasoline and diesel fuel, according to the company website.

The Houthis have been in control of mobile communications networks in San’a since they seized the capital. The militants also gained access to the phones of captured Saudi-backed fighters.

The Houthi militants listened in on calls between their opponents’ commanders, giving them insight into their plans, the people said. They were also able to speak directly to rival fighters on the ground, urging them to surrender, they said.

People on the ground said the tactics created chaos and confusion on the battlefield.

Recall that previously it was revealed by CNN that PLC units on the Mokha front were undermanned, some even as low as 20% strength, with ghost fighters in the ranks so local commanders could cash in on the salaries.

📝 The defeat of the PLC by the Houthis in Yemen is reminiscent of the Taliban victory against the Afghan National Army (ANA) and the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Syria over the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

Recall that in Afghanistan, some Taliban fighters figured on the lists of the ANA as serving soldiers and they would drop in once/month to their posts to collect their U.S. taxpayer funded salary only to disappear in the wilderness and resume insurgent operations against the ANA. Taliban commanders also had access to the ANA's comms and in the lead up to the fall of Kabul convinced thousands of ANA soldiers and commanders to surrender or even defect. Similar incidents happened in Syria as well in the last days of the Syrian Civil War with SAA units disbanding or switching allegiance.

An ideologically/religiously zealous enemy will always prevail over an enemy that is simply paid to fight them.

New statistics show something that would have been unheard of in the 90s.

What would you think if I told you that Sweden is changing, it is happening fast.

In fact, Swedish people are now already a minority in Malmö which is the third largest city in the country.

If you had told someone in the 90s that this would be the case, then you might have been labelled a ”far-right conspiracy theorist”.

However, it is happening.
The borders are still wide open in Sweden it seems. Because since 2020, around 600.000 people have gotten residence permit in Sweden. That is over 5% of the population in just a few years.
Some on the left see this as a good thing, with more cultural diversity.
But others on the right think this is going too far.
Let us take a look at some statistics and see how Sweden has changed.
Let us being by looking at the three biggest cities in Sweden. Firstly, in the numbers below, when it is mentioned that a person has a foreign background, this includes people that have at least one foreign born parent.

New official statistics from SCB give us some interesting insight.
The number of people with a foreign background in Sweden.

Malmö: 58.8%
Gothenburg: 49.2%
Stockholm: 46.1%
Sweden: 35.7%

This means that for Sweden as a whole, only 64.3% of the population now are ethnically Swedish.

Back in 1999, the same statistics showed that 20.3% of the population had a foreign background.
This means that in just a few decades the demographics have changed significantly.
In 2025, the population of Sweden increased with 17,800 people, driven entirely by people with a foreign background. Because the number of people with a Swedish background actually decreased last year by 8,100 people.

So the number of people with a Swedish background decreased. Meanwhile the number of people with a foreign background increased.
Around 90.000 people were granted residence permit in Sweden in 2025. In fact, between 2020 to 2025 around 600.000 people were granted residence permit in Sweden. Consider that the population of Sweden is only around 10.7 million people.

This means that over 5% of the population in Sweden has gotten their residence permit in the last 5 years.

The borders are wide open.

But Swedish people seem to support this. A new poll found that a majority of people do not want to abolish permanent residence status for migrants.

The poll made by Novus found that 58% said NO, they do not want the government to revoke/convert permanent residence permits into temporary ones. Only 24% said they supported the idea.

However, in contrast, a YouGov poll made in 2025 found that 73% of people in Sweden believed that immigration the last ten years had been ”too high” in the country.
Sweden is changing, that is a fact.

Some people on the left have said that this is just a ”far-right” conspiracy theory. But the facts are the facts.

Less than 65% of the population in Sweden now are Swedish.

🛰 🇨🇳 💥 Chinese Satellite Breaks Apart in Rare Orbit That Could Hold Debris for Centuries

China’s Yaogan-50 (02) satellite launched on March 15, 2026, on board a Long March 6A rocket. The satellite successfully reached its operational orbit—a highly retrograde orbit, meaning that it travels in the opposite direction of Earth’s rotation at an altitude of approximately 590 miles (952 kilometers).

A few months into its mission, however, the satellite appears to have malfunctioned. On September 4, the U.S. Space Force cataloged 43 debris objects from the breakup of Yaogan-50 (02), according to Jonathan McDowell, a former astrophysicist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics who tracks space activity.

The satellite’s fragments are currently at an altitude range between 372 and 683 miles (600 and 1,100 km) above Earth’s surface. The pieces remained within the satellite’s distinctive 142-degree inclination orbit.

At that altitude, the resulting debris will likely stay in orbit for a long time. Debris that’s left in orbit below 372 miles (600 km) normally falls back to Earth within a few years due to atmospheric drag. The higher the altitude, however, the longer the debris will remain in Earth orbit.

For debris that’s orbiting at an altitude of 500 miles (800 km), orbital decay can take centuries, according to NASA. Above 620 miles (1,000 km), the debris can keep circling Earth for thousands of years.

The European Space Agency estimates that there have been more than 660 explosions, collisions, or anomalous events resulting in fragmentation. As it stands, there are currently more than 1.5 million space debris objects in Earth orbit.

It’s not clear what may have caused the Yaogan-50 (02) satellite to break apart, but it may have been a propulsion or battery failure, or it may have itself collided with another object or space debris.

The Yaogan-50 is a series of remote-sensing and reconnaissance satellites that China claims is designated for national land surveys, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation. There is speculation, however, that the satellites are used for intelligence and military surveillance, according to SpaceNews.

U.S. refineries have operated near maximum capacity for the longest sustained period in over a quarter century, scrambling to capture windfall profits created by the Iran war. But history offers a cautionary tale: “Super refining” runs that push plants too hard can cause major failures.

This has global implications. U.S. refineries’ ability to sustain today’s elevated operating rates for months, or potentially years, could mean ​the difference between an exceptionally tight global fuel market and a full-blown supply crisis marked by acute shortages, demand destruction and widespread economic pain.

The result of the U.S-Israeli war on Iran has been a collapse in global fuel production. Global refinery throughput in July fell to 81 million barrels per day (bpd), nearly 5 million bpd, or about 6%, below the level at this point last year, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The U.S., the world's largest crude producer and second-largest refiner after China, responded by ramping up exports of crude, gasoline, diesel and jet fuel to ​record levels, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), helping avert a truly cataclysmic supply shock.

For the U.S. refining industry, the past six months have been an unprecedented bonanza. Benchmark margins for converting crude into transportation fuels have averaged ​more than $50 a barrel since the start of the war, more than double their 10-year average.

To generate those bumper profits, many companies postponed planned maintenance and kept plants running at full tilt. U.S. refinery throughput has averaged around 17 million bpd since the start of the conflict, significantly above its five-year average.
The question now ​is how long this can last before something breaks.

Over the past 11 weeks, U.S. refinery utilisation rates have hovered above 95% — a sustained level not seen in more ​than 25 years. In fact, refineries have only achieved such prolonged rates three times, based on EIA data going back to 1990.

The closest parallels came in 1997 and 1998, when U.S. refineries recorded two separate 24-week stretches of utilisation rates above 95% — first between May and October 1997 and again between April and September 1998. In the summer of 1998, the refinery fleet exceeded 100% utilisation – the only time this has occurred in EIA records.

That extraordinary performance was driven by a rare combination of low crude prices and consistently strong fuel demand, giving refiners every ​incentive to keep operations running flat out.

A similar episode followed in 2000, when refineries operated above 95% utilisation for 13 consecutive weeks, but the conditions were markedly different.

Running complex refining systems at breakneck speeds for extended periods inevitably increases the risk of equipment failures, accidents and unplanned outages.

Faced with soaring margins and a global fuel shortage, many U.S. refiners have deferred essential maintenance originally scheduled for the second quarter, pushing much of the work into late 2026 or even 2027.

The risk is that doing this could ultimately lead to sharp, unplanned capacity losses.

🛢🛰 High resolution satellite imagery from Vantor shows the scale of the damage done to one of the pumping stations on the Yanbu-Abqaiq (East-West pipeline) in Saudi Arabia by Houthi missiles.

While the Saudis said the damage would take 4-6 weeks to repair, it is much more likely that it will take several months until the facility can be restored.

The oil reserves in the port of Yanbu last about a week after which Saudi Arabia will no longer be able to export oil through the facility and the world will lose 4% of its oil.
