🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡- Ukrainian counterattacks in the Pokrovsk direction seem to have failed.
The decision to counterattack, requiring the greater number of reinforcements from other areas, instead of trying to just stabilize or contain the Russian breakthrough has now left Ukrainian defenses exposed in the other directions.
While Pokrovsk may have stabilized, the frontline is now moving rapidly in Russian favor in the Konstantinovka, Limen and Kupyansk directions.
🇺🇦The commander of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Shirshin, who previously publicly spoke about the "stupid tasks" set by the leadership for political reasons, has officially left his position.
Immediately after the criticism, he submitted a resignation report and received a disciplinary warning. Now Shirshin reports that the consequences affected not only him personally but the entire unit.

🇺🇸🇪🇺🇷🇺 Trump listened to all the willing Europeans in a video conference on Ukraine. At the same time, the "hawks" Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas were not given the floor, Keir Starmer asked those present "not to irritate Donald," and Vladimir Zelensky was completely silent, said German political scientist Alexander Rahr to the newspaper VZGLYAD.
As a result, the head of the White House emerged victorious, the interlocutor believes. "In fact, the Europeans agreed to surrender the territories occupied by Russia to Moscow. However, they will not legally recognize them as Russian, but for the sake of a truce, they are ready to keep silent. In any case, the video conference did not bring Zelensky the results he hoped for: at the last moment, he failed to sway Trump to his side and to drag the Europeans into the war," the speaker believes.
He also expressed confidence that the meeting of the US and Russian presidents will not be unsuccessful. "Vladimir Putin, apparently, is interested in a reciprocal visit by Trump, but the main thing is that he needs the States to once again respect Russian national interests," the analyst emphasized.
In his opinion, the parties can agree on a number of issues. "But the snag is the position of Europe, which may block any agreements unfavorable to itself. However, such a 'watershed' will not be bad for Moscow either," Rahr concluded.

🎥💻1️⃣5️⃣🔣💲🤝🇺🇸 — 📰 Financial Times | Nvidia and AMD to pay 15% of China chip sale revenues to US government | Chipmakers agree to unusual arrangement to secure export licences from Trump administration | August 10, 2025:
"Nvidia and AMD have agreed to give the US government 15 per cent of the revenues from chip sales in China, as part of an unusual arrangement with the Trump administration to obtain export licences for the semiconductors.
The two chipmakers agreed to the financial arrangement as a condition for obtaining export licences for the Chinese market that were granted last week, according to people familiar with the situation, including a US official.
The US official said Nvidia agreed to share 15 per cent of the revenues from H20 chip sales in China and AMD would provide the same percentage from MI308 chip revenues. Two people familiar with the arrangement said the Trump administration had not yet determined how to use the money."

🇺🇸1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣🔣💲🧠🍏 — 📰 ZeroHedge | Trump To Impose 100% Chip Tariffs, But Will Exempt US Investors Like Apple | August 6, 2025:
"With CEO Tim Cook standing next to him in the Oval Office as the president announced a fresh (and very laughable) $100 billion investment plan by Apple which it would then add to the $500 billion already pledged over the next 4 years (which is ridiculous since Apple spent $43 billion in capex in the past 4 years and generated less than $100 billion in net income in its best year), Trump announced he would impose a 100% tariff on chip and semiconductor imports, but would exempt companies moving production back to the United States.
Apple had previously pledged to spend $500 billion in the US over the next four years, an acceleration over its prior investments and previously announced plans, adding about $39 billion in spending and an additional 1,000 jobs annually. The announcement will bring Apple’s cumulative commitment to $600 billion, and appears to be an ad hoc bundling of pretty much everything on the income and cash flow statements, including CoGS, SG&A, CapEx, buybacks and so on. The previously-planned $500 billion was said to include work on a new server manufacturing facility in Houston, a supplier academy in Michigan and additional spending with its existing suppliers in the country.
“We’re going to be putting a very large tariff on chips and semiconductors, but the good news for companies like Apple is, if you’re building in the United States, or have committed to build, without question, committed to build in the United States, there will be no charge,” Trump told reporters."

🇸🇾🇹🇷 Woofers on X: The STG [Syrian transitional government], with Turkish support, are increasingly anticipated by some SDF sources to initiate a campaign of hybrid warfare against the SDF should negotiations stall. This would likely involve taking advantage of Arab discontent in Deir ez Zor to launch a tribal uprising.
The SDF has the capabilities to put down tribal uprisings. Though the PR may be very bad and manpower and equipment would be lost. There is also the potential for certain elements of the Deir ez Zor Military Council specifically to defect, though the SDF has been proactive.
The real danger the SDF faces is that an uprising could be exploited or covertly strengthened by the STG, with the STG sending troops, covertly or overtly, to assist in the fighting. They may also try and present a fait accompli if tribal forces were able to take significant land
A scenario in which tribal elements (or those portending to be) take a section of land and the STG then crosses the river into these territories to “intervene and stop the fighting” would be possible, in my opinion.
Losing Deir ez Zor would reduce the SDF’s and AANES’s negotiating position. Though I don’t believe the AANES wishes to hold onto the territory in the long term, the natural resources give them a strong card in negotiations. The area is thus a clear conflict point in my view.

🇪🇺❌🇷🇺 EU leaders still firmly reject the idea of formal territorial concessions from Ukraine towards Russia,
After discussions with U.S. president, Donald Trump, EU leaders through German Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, laid out 5 conditions for the EU to agree to peace in Ukraine:
🔶 Ceasefire (implicitly, Russia must stop its offensives) before negotiations begin
🔶 Ukraine and Vladimir Zelensky must be involved in peace negotiations
🔶 No legal recognition (formal territorial concession) of the territory conquered by Russia, "borders cannot be changed by force".
🔶 Ukraine receive "robust security guarantees"
🔶 Any future negotiations must be part of "a common trans-Atlantic strategy."
📝: The EU makes these demands as if it has any real say in these negotiations and the military strength to back them up. What are they going to do to Russia if the Russians reject them? Sanctions haven't made Russia weaker, they made it stronger. EU politicians live in a fantasy world where if the war just goes on a little longer, the Russians will revolt and overthrow their leaders.

🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡- BREAKING: Ukrainian lines in the Kupyansk direction have also begun to collapse!
After Russian infantry units began storming northern Kupyansk city last night, the Ukrainian defensive lines east of the Oskol River began to crumble. Russian forces captured an incredible 87 sqkm of area. Multiple fortifications have fallen to Russian control.
Note, the area captured is not only some of the most densely trenched territory, but Russia had been unable to move the front in this area for well over 12+ months - until now.
Fighting has begun for the large town of Petropavlovka.

🇨🇳🚫💻🧠 — 📰 ZeroHedge | China Urges Tech Giants To Avoid Nvidia H20 Chips After Trump Lifts Sales Ban | August 12, 2025:
"Beijing is quietly discouraging Chinese firms, particularly those tied to state and/or national security interests, from using Nvidia's H20 AI chips, even after the Trump administration reversed a U.S. sales ban in exchange for 15% of related revenue. The move follows Beijing's concerns over a potential "backdoor" in the H20, an allegation Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has rejected.
The report comes from the Financial Times, which states that regulators at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) instructed tech companies, such as Alibaba and ByteDance, to explain why they need H20 chips instead of sourcing domestic alternatives.
"It's not banned but has kind of become a politically incorrect thing to do," said one Chinese data center operator about purchasing H20 chips."

🇷🇺🇺🇦 The Russian tactical penetration in the Dobropillya direction was not immediate but came rather after months of Russian preparation and condition setting using new drone innovations and tactics at scale.
Russia's persistent drone strikes against Ukrainian GLOCs have likely impacted Ukraine's defensive operations, enabling the recent Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group penetration.
Russia's use of sabotage and reconnaissance groups to conduct a tactical penetration is not intrinsically noteworthy, but Russia's drone innovations enabling strikes against Ukrainian GLOCs to achieve the effects of BAI will require a Ukrainian and Western response.

🇪🇺❌🇷🇺 What is the European plan to win the war?
The only explanation for why an army or a bloc refuses to negotiate is that it has a plan to win the war. I still don’t understand what the European plan is so far, because I see the Ukrainian plan as simply having hope in a European plan.
In April of last year, Zelensky lowered the draft age from 27 to 25, but this wasn’t enough to sustain the frontline, since the war is unpopular and many people are seeking ways to avoid conscription. Lowering the age to 22 is unlikely to solve the problem for a med and long time.
Moreover, it would only amplify the catastrophe of the war, as only one-quarter of the last ten Ukrainian brigades received equipment.
What will these recruits fight with? Holding a bayonet?
I look at the Ukrainian contingent, the remaining arsenal in Ukraine and across Europe, and I can't see a clear plan to win the war. And I would say that I have some knowledge of what Europeans have in terms of operational equipment in their stockpiles.
But, what is the European plan to win the war in Ukraine?
