🇷🇺🇺🇦 The Russian Army has advanced deep into the city of Pokrovsk getting close the city's center.
Although they were close to doing so at the beginning of August, Ukrainian reinforcements and subsequent counterattacks managed to push back the Russians away from the city's neighbourhoods but the Russians recovered all lost ground and are now pushing further.
The Russians have fully captured the Lazurnoye and Kalinovska districts, the hamlet of Troyanda and are assaulting the Shakhtarskoye district.

🇱🇻 Latvia is considering introducing mandatory military conscription for women starting in 2028
Defense Minister Andris Spruds announced plans to expand the country's armed forces, which include a proposal to draft women into compulsory service. His party intends to present the plan to the government.
If approved, female conscription could begin as early as 2028. Mandatory service for men aged 18 to 27 was reinstated on January 1, 2024, in response to the war in Ukraine. Currently, women are allowed to serve in the Latvian army voluntarily.

🇺🇸🇻🇪🇹🇹 The "drug boat" when it was destroyed, was most likely still in Venezuelan territorial waters as it was going to Trinidad and Tobago.
The likelihood of the boat going to the United States as claimed by president Trump himself is very low due to the considerable distance between Venezuela and the United States and the perils such a journey carries.
📝: Trump and Rubio are twisting the narrative related to the destination of the "drug boat" to incite a response from Venezuela and justify an intervention and the toppling of Nicolas Maduro.

🇬🇧 The UK is arresting on average 30 citizens a day for offensive speech online, amounting to 12,000 a year.
The story of Bernadette Spofforth: immediately after the Rwandan migrant, Axel Rudakubana, murdered 3 young girls in Southport and injured 8 others, Spofforth retweeted someone claiming that the murder was caused by a "newly arrived migrant".
Even though Bernadette deleted the retweet from her timeline as new information came to light that the attacker was a 2nd generation migrant, a British law enforcement officer had already seen it and sent a patrol to her home and arrest her.
Maxie Allen, a radio producer in Hertfordshire woke up to six officers knocking on their door to haul him and his wife to jail over comments they posted in a private WhatsApp group for parents at their children’s school.
In 2018 a man identifying himself as “Adam” phoned into the British talk radio station LBC to describe his encounter with police earlier that year.
“I’m Asian myself and I did this drawing of a mate of mine, who’s also Asian, and I said, ‘you look like a terrorist.’ And he took it really well. He thought it was funny,” he told the host.
But someone else saw the humorous doodle, took issue, and called police. Months later, Adam and his friend were interviewed by authorities — the friend told cops he laughed at the drawing and wasn’t offended — but police still made an official report for a “non-crime hate incident” and forced Adam to write a letter of apology to his friend, which he had to email to him.
Last October, Adam Smith-Connor, a 51-year-old Army veteran, was convicted and forced to pay a $12,000 fine for silently praying outside an abortion clinic in Dorset. In April, anti-mass migration French philosopher Renaud Camus was banned from the UK, where he was set to give a speech.
Lucy Connolly was sentenced to 31 months in prison for “publishing written material with the intent to stir up racial hatred". Her crime? She posted on X her support for mass deportations. Coppers say she “falsely claimed” the Al Qaeda-supporting killer was a migrant, even though his parents were migrants.
Connolly, like Spofforth, realized her mistake and deleted the tweet three hours after posting but police still showed up a week later to arrest her.
Free speech activists called Britain a “two-tier” justice system when Labor councillor Ricky Jones was found not guilty after calling for the murder of anti-migration protestors, telling a crowd “we need to cut all their throats.”
This summer, the UK government updated its definition of terrorist ideologies to include “cultural nationalism,” singling out Westerners who express concern over mass migration.
Of the 33,000 car thefts recorded in London alone last year, only 300 arrests were made; while just five percent of the over 40,000 shoplifting incidents reported in London in 2023 led to charges.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 With the Ukrainian presence west of the Vovcha River in Area 1 now isolated and likely coming to an end, and Russian forces enjoying steady advances westwards in Area 2, it appears that Russia is trying to reach the town of Pokrovskoye and subsequently the rear of Gulyaipole.
A significant portion of movement in and out of Gulyaipole goes through Pokrovskoye, so if the Russians can capture Velykomykhailovka (another important Ukrainian logistical hub), then get close to, and capture Pokrovskoye, it will put them in a much stronger position to storm Gulyaipole from three directions.
Currently Russian forces are advancing downhill to the rest of Gulyaipole - reminiscent of the operations to reach the rear of Ugledar. If they cross the Yanchur River and establish a solid bridgehead west of it, the city will be in danger of being taken into a pocket. Area 3 won't have to be activated unless it becomes the "bottom of the salient", where supply for Ukraine is the most difficult due to its distance from the outside of the salient, similar to the current situation in Pokrovsk-Myrnograd.
But there is one other thing to consider with a prolonged operation like this: It may depend on the situation on other fronts - namely Novopavlovka to the northeast. Depending on how strong Ukraine is in the Pokrovskoye area when the town falls, Russia may have to have collapsed the Novopavlovka salient, and advance north of the Vovcha River to the north of Pokrovskoye, but that could be difficult due to the placement of Mezhevaya. This is why it would be impossible to put a timeline on an operation like this, as all sections of the frontline influence each other.

🌐🤝🇺🇦 We can't get Ukraine to join NATO so we bring NATO to Ukraine
The European Union has drafted a detailed plan to deploy over 10,000 troops to Ukraine
According to WSJ, one group would train and support Ukraine's armed forces, while the other would provide security to prevent a "possible Russian incursion."
The report notes that the plans were prepared with the involvement of several U.S. generals, including the head of NATO's U.S. operations command.
Russian officials have repeatedly threatened that they will not refrain from bombing Western military contingents if they are deployed to Ukraine with predictable consequences for the military-political balance of the European continent.

🇺🇸❌🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹 US to cut some security funds for European countries bordering Russia
The US is to phase out security assistance programmes for European armies along Russia’s border, as it pushes the continent to pay for more of its own defence.
Pentagon officials last week informed European diplomats that the US would no longer fund programmes that train and equip militaries in eastern European countries that would be on the frontline of any conflict with Russia, people familiar with the matter said.
Spending for the Pentagon programme, which falls under an authority known as section 333, must be agreed by the US Congress, but the Trump administration has not requested more money. Funds already approved will be available until the end of September 2026.
Winding down the section 333 funding would affect a programme with a worldwide budget of more than $1bn, according to estimates from Senate aides, potentially cutting hundreds of millions of dollars the US sends to the Russian border countries. The Pentagon has not informed lawmakers of the exact amount that will be phased out.
The programme allocated $1.6bn in Europe between 2018-2022, roughly 29 per cent of the global 333 spending, according to the US Government Accountability Office. Key recipients include Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Officials from dozens of European embassies in Washington, including from countries that do not receive the assistance, attended a meeting where Pentagon officials told them about the cuts.
The move appeared intended to encourage wealthier European countries to pay for more of the frontline states’ security assistance, one European official said.

🇺🇸🇻🇪🇹🇹 The "drug boat" destroyed by a missile by the U.S. earlier this week may not have been smuggling drugs according to more recent information.
The boat was coming from Unare, Venezuela, headed towards Trinidad and Tobago. According to Venezuelan sources, such trips are common and boats like the one targeted by the U.S. military carry Venezuelan migrants escaping Nicolas Maduro's regime, drugs and fishermen, sometimes all together.
The 11 man crew of the boat most likely was not affiliated with the Tren de Aragua gang and this link is impossible to prove.

In the early hours of September 4th, under the cover of darkness, antifa cowards set about vandalizing a young member's family home, slashing the tires on his car, smashing its windows and spray painting it.
His only crime is having a love for his people and his nation and having the courage and pride to do it face out. His parents are completely blameless, save for loving their son and giving him shelter while he saves up money working a full-time job in the hopes of saving up enough to set off on his own and provide for a family.
The aim of this campaign is to quickly get his car fixed so that he can easily get back to work, to get his parents home cleaned and painted, and to have a surveillance system installed in order to dissuade the vermin from striking again.
Any proceeds that exceed these needs will be forwarded to the White Australia Legal Defense fund being as they are at the vanguard of our shared struggle and are being politically persecuted.

🟧⬜️ Orania Census for 2024 — Here are five interesting facts:
1. Population Growth
Orania grew with 5.4% in 2024, to a sum of 3,025 residents. This means the average of 10% per annum is maintained since 2020.
Also interesting is that Orania grew with almost 1000 residents since 2020. A third of its current population.
2. Economy
Economic researcher Werner Fourie points out that Services (31.5%), Trade (22.0%), and Construction (15.0%) remain Orania’s three largest economic sectors.
Although the contribution of Services shows a strong decrease (from 44.6% down to 31.5%), it is very positive that Manufacturing more than doubled from 5.0% to 12.6%, along with Agriculture, which also increased by nearly 4.0%.
In the construction industry something interesting happened –
3. Construction
The total number of building applications dropped from 176 in 2022 to 149 in 2024, however the value of developments is rising. With an estimated total of R186 million for 2024, the value of building applications in Orania was 31% higher than the previous year.
Education and training are growing at an average annual rate of 8.6%, which includes Orania’s schools and Bo-Karoo Training.
4. Climate
The year 2024 was drier and warmer than the past five years. Rainfall in 2024 measured 271.8 mm, almost half of the 456.6 mm recorded in 2020. The highest temperature recorded in 2024 was 41.7 °C and the lowest -4.4 °C.
Here is the most interesting piece of information from the 2024 census:
5. Salaries and food inflation
In terms of salaries, the average Oranian is significantly better off than the previous year. Average annual salaries increased with more than 18%! (Though still much lower than city averages)
Alongside this came one of the best pieces of news from the census: food inflation showed deflation of 2.8%! The food basket was almost 3% cheaper than in 2023, while the same products elsewhere in South Africa became more expensive.
In short: cooling in certain economic sectors, improvements in others. A substantial salary increase in permanent employment, and huge potential in education and training.
