🇮🇱❌🇻🇦 Israeli military officials allegedly attempted to halt a Catholic Marian festival in honor of the Virgin Mary in a Christian village located in the West Bank on Friday, sources say.
Jason Jones, founder and president of the Vulnerable People Project (VPP), told the Daily Caller that VPP had witnessed an Israeli military vehicle enter the village of Taybeh in the early morning and order organizers preparing for the festival to leave the area.
“A permitted Catholic festival honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary was nearly shut down by armed military intervention before it even began,” Jones said.
VPP told the Caller that it had been stationed in Taybeh to document the festival as part of its Save West Bank Christians Campaign, following concerns that the annual celebration may have been the target of Israeli settlers encroaching on the Christian village.
Approximately 30 minutes later, another military vehicle appeared and delivered the same orders, VPP told the Caller.
The parish priest overseeing the festival, Fr. F, contacted church authorities immediately, until the matter reached Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
In March, Fr. Bashar Fawadleh issued an appeal saying that Israeli settlers had seized private land within the West Bank’s last entirely Christian village, including land near the village’s quarry and cement factory, EWTN News reported.
In late April, Pizzaballa and the leaders of the Catholic Church in Jerusalem sent authorities a formal complaint following encroachments by Israeli settlers on church-owned land in the West Bank.
The incident also follows criticism of Israel’s restrictions on celebrations of holy days for the Abrahamic religions at Jerusalem’s holy sites amid fears of an Iranian attack, as well as outrage after an IDF soldier decapitated a crucifix in Lebanon.

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️ — The U.S. has reached a deadlock in its attempt to avoid an endless war trap with Iran, with Trump no better off than before the war and Tehran refusing to yield, Foreign Affairs writes.
➡️ The terms of any new agreement remain vague, with the two sides far apart on key issues like Iran's nuclear program, and Trump desperately needs short-term concessions to justify launching the war — but Tehran is unwilling to offer them.
➡️ The longer the deadlock drags on, the more Americans will feel the inflationary pain of the Hormuz closure, forcing Trump toward unpleasant compromises to escape a quagmire of his own making.

🇺🇸🇬🇧 Trump’s Truth Social forces new users to follow Tommy Robinson
New accounts on US president’s social media platform are automatically signed up to updates from series of pseudo-rightwing figures
Accounts that register to the US president’s social media app, which he launched in 2022 after being banned from Facebook and Twitter, are automatically made to follow a list of around 100 users.
It includes Mr Trump, as well as his son Donald Trump Jr, most of the president’s cabinet, and several controversial figures including Robinson.
The British pseudo-rightwing agitator, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has courted the Trump administration and was hosted by the US state department in Washington earlier this year in an unofficial capacity.
New Truth Social users are made to follow Robinson regardless of whether they sign up to the platform in the UK or the US, according to accounts analysed by The Telegraph.
It has likely boosted Robinson’s influence on the platform, allowing him to reach more than 1.7 million followers, to whom he describes himself as a journalist, frequently posting anti-migrant messaging.
Beyond the US president, his family and other government figures, new users of Truth Social are also automatically signed up to a raft of alt-Right media outlets.
This also includes many White House officials who have been removed from their posts, such as Kristi Noem, the former secretary of homeland security, and Pam Bondi, the former attorney general, suggesting it may have been drawn up some time ago.
New registrations also automatically follow Charlie Kirk, the conservative political commentator who was assassinated at a university debate last September.

🇵🇱🤝🏳️🌈 The Polish Parliament voted to legalise civil partnerships, a watered-down version of gay marriage
A civil partnership allows unmarried couples to be considered legally as "kin", thus gaining the rights and privileges of married couples.
The Sejm, lower house of Parliament, approved the bill on Friday by 230 votes to 198, with one abstention.
Katarzyna Kotula, the government's equality minister and co-author of the legislation, welcomed the vote on X.
"For several months, many people worked on this project so that more than three million Poles could feel more dignity and security – both heterosexual families and, above all, LGBT couples who pay taxes but are still invisible to the state," she wrote.
Under the proposed rules, two adults would be able to sign a notarised agreement, registered with a civil registry office, granting them rights including shared property arrangements, maintenance obligations, access to a joint home and the ability to act as each other's medical proxy.
🇲🇩⚖️❌🇲🇩 Evghenia Guțul, the governor of Găgăuzia, an autonomous region inside the Republic of Moldova, has been stripped of her title after she lost the appeal with Moldovan courts.
In 2025 she was sentenced to 7 years in prison for using illicit funds to finance the activity of the Shor Party, a political party created by Jewish oligarch, Ilan Shor, who fled Moldova in 2019 to escape prosecution for the 2014 Moldovan Laundromat bank robbery case.
Shor used the stolen money and from his businesses to finance this party in the hopes that he would be able to form a government and force the judiciary to drop the charges and stop the criminal investigation against him.
Guțul was elected with the support of the Shor Party in 2023. From the very beginning she came into conflict with the Moldovan president, Maia Sandu, and the ruling Action & Solidarity Party (PAS) due to her membership of the Shor Party and close ties to Ilan Shor.
As Guțul lost the appeal to the original sentence in 2025, she has been definitively stripped of her title and new elections will be organised in Găgăuzia. Responsibilities will pass on to the president of the Găgăuzian Executive Committee who will have to organise elections in at most 90 days.
Guțul's team said that despite losing the appeal, they will take the matter to the Supreme Court of Moldova seeking to annul the decision on legal technicalities. However, such an appeal does not stop the decision of the Chișinău Court of Appeals from being enforced.

🇮🇱🇺🇸 Congress quietly moves to integrate US and Israeli militaries
In the first step towards shifting aid further into the shadows, the House's 2027 NDAA would all but fuse the two countries' armed forces together
At a time when the American public is expressing unprecedented levels of distrust in the Israeli government, Congress just proposed tying the U.S. to the Israeli military more than ever before.
Buried in the House's version of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) released on Tuesday, is section 224, entitled “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” The provision would arguably do more to intertwine the U.S. military with the Israeli military than the more than $200 billion (inflation adjusted) in military assistance Israel has received from the U.S. since its founding in 1948.
Section 224 lays the groundwork for bilateral research and development, co-production of weapons, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and seemingly every manner of U.S.-Israeli military-industrial complex cooperation. The U.S. and Israel already work together heavily on missile defense, but this provision would greatly expand coordination to seemingly every area of defense tech, including AI, quantum, autonomous systems, directed energy, cyber, biotech, and many more. It also proposes “network integration” and “data fusion.” In other words, the U.S. military’s data could soon be the Israeli military’s data.
If fully enacted, this proposal would provide a higher level of military-industrial integration than the U.S. has with any other country in the world. To be sure, the U.S. has worked closely with its NATO partners on co-production and shared supply chains, most notably via the Defence Production Action Plan. And, as the number one arms dealer in the world, the U.S. provides weapons to militaries across the globe. But that is mostly a one-way street, with the U.S. providing weapons to foreign buyers who only occasionally make parts for those weapons themselves, as in the case of the F-35’s global supply chain.
Section 224 would be a different beast entirely. It would fuse the U.S. and Israeli defense sectors in multiple areas vital to the battlefields of the future, like autonomous systems and cyber. It would also bring extraordinary Israeli influence to the U.S. beyond what it already has through the Israel lobby and its robust network of social media influencers. It would give the Israeli government the opportunity to greatly expand one of the most powerful levers of influence in U.S. politics: jobs in the U.S. By expanding or starting new co-production facilities like it already has in Mississippi and Arkansas, the Israeli government could boast of providing jobs on U.S. soil, thereby securing allies among members of Congress who represent the districts where those jobs lie.
The result could well be a U.S. political system even more susceptible to the whims of an Israeli government that seemingly has no qualms about drawing the U.S. into military conflicts in the Middle East.

🇦🇪🇮🇱🇺🇸❌🇮🇷 — BREAKING: The UAE carried out dozens of airstrikes against Iran during the war, including strikes after the ceasefire announcement, in a deeper role than previously known alongside the U.S. and Israel, according to WSJ.

Some attacks targeted Iranian energy infrastructure in retaliation for Iranian strikes on Emirati oil and gas facilities.
The strike on the Asaluyeh Petrochemical Complex, carried out with Israel, triggered international criticism and prompted Washington to ask Israel to stop targeting Iranian energy sites.
The operations also exposed divisions among Gulf states: Saudi Arabia urged the U.S. to pressure the UAE to halt the attacks, warning they risked wider retaliation against regional energy infrastructure and global oil markets.
UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan became frustrated with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman earlier in the war for refusing to join coordinated military action against Iran.
🇺🇸 🤝 🇷🇸 NATO and Serbia completed their first joint military exercise
Over the course of two weeks, approximately 600 troops from NATO Allied nations trained together with personnel of the Serbian Armed Forces, in a series of fictitious scenarios designed to strengthen professional military cooperation and enhance coordination. “This year’s NATO-Serbia exercise represents a tangible demonstration of how far NATO-Serbia relations have grown. Of how much Serbia’s partnership with NATO has developed. And of how much our political dialogue and practical cooperation have progressed,” said NATO's Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton. “As we look ahead, NATO stands ready to further develop our relations with Serbia. In full respect of its stated policy of military neutrality,” he added.

No money will be exchanged, until further notice. Other items, of far less importance, have been agreed to. I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination.
