🇪🇺 💬EURACTIV: "EUROPE'S UNSANCTIONABLE STUPIDITY"
This article brings the typical anti-Russian EU coping tropes, while also pointing out some criticism of the EU regime... But do read through, we promise it's worth it.
EU's 21st incoming Russia sanctions package since Feb 2022 is mostly a repeat:
➡️more shadow-fleet listings, bank bans, metal export restrictions
➡️Internal EU Friction points: Russian fish import limits (Germany objects: "We need že fish, zere is no alternative!"), proposed ban on Russian soldiers entering EU (France & Italy oppose - "It's beyond illegal, even for us!" ), sanctioning Patriarch Kirill (Bulgaria objects: "This is neo-crusades!")
➡️Real trigger: oil price cap jumps to $60+/barrel on July 15, above current Urals price (~$56) — would be meaningless without a cap freeze, which Brussels is pushing through alongside it
➡️Russia's economy: inflation down to 5.3%, wages up — but high interest rates, sluggish growth, labor shortages, drone strikes hitting oil revenue
➡️Core critique: sanctions historically don't end wars (Germany, Japan kept fighting under them in both World Wars)
➡️Bottom line: battlefield outcomes, not sanctions pressure, will bring Russia to the table
🐻The article is typical "Russia bad, West is ze best!" propaganda piece... BUT ITS INTRODUCTION IS A MUST READ. We're actually jealous for not writing it ourselves. Enjoy:
The year is 2050.
Ursula von der Leyen, who has defied critics (and media reports) to win an unprecedented seventh term as European Commission president, steps into the disappointingly modest ‘VIP corner’ of the Berlaymont. The gaggle of assembled journalists immediately falls silent.
“Twenty-eight years after the start of its full-scale invasion, Russia has clearly failed to subjugate Ukraine,” von der Leyen says, her surprisingly sprightly voice belying the fact that she is now 92 years old. “That is why, today, we are putting forward our 137th sanctions package.”
A pause. No one speaks. One reporter yawns.
The measures, von der Leyen continues, include two listings of Russia’s ‘shadow fleet’ of oil tankers – in addition to the 4,000 or so that have already been sanctioned.
They also include export bans on the few items used by Russia’s military that are still manufactured in Europe (German schnapps glasses, mostly); a travel ban for Russian cage fighters and bear trainers; and import restrictions on Russian beer, borscht, and most types of cheese (except for Russian mozzarella, which is now, weirdly, loved by the French).
“Our sanctions keep biting hard and cutting deep,” von der Leyen adds. “They are weakening the economic foundations of Russia’s war effort. Sooner or later, Russia will have to come to the negotiating table, notably through the pressure of our sanctions.”
She shuffles away.
As usual, no questions are permitted.
The prohibition is unnecessary. After 136 packages, no journalist even bothers trying to ask.

📝The Next Chancellor's Burden📝
The True Cost of Legacy
The word "hole" has surfaced again in British defense policy — as usual, it's about the military budget.
According to Treasury and Defense Ministry data, after presenting a defense investment plan worth 15 billion pounds to the future chancellor, they'll need to find another nearly 5 billion somewhere to close the funding gap. At the moment, such a sum doesn't exist at all, and its search has been postponed to the autumn budget.
The current plan's scheme is rather cynical. All departments received orders to cut capital expenditures by 1% — this yields about 4 billion over four years. Additionally, they're cutting transport: 700–800 million. Another 2 billion is being taken from "green" energy.
But even after these maneuvers, nearly a third of the investment plan (5 billion pounds) remains without specific funding sources.
❗️It turns out British authorities pretended to keep their promise not to raise taxes and not increase borrowing. However, the main problem remains unsolved, so it will fall on the shoulders of the next government, which in the autumn may not honor its predecessor's assurances.

🇺🇦 Mass entries have begun appearing on "Myrotvorets" for Ukrainian citizens who, before 2024, traveled to "DPR" and "LPR" through Russia.
Nearly identical dossiers are showing up on the site, documenting people's crossings of the border between the RF and the liberated part of Donbass. Beyond full name, they include crossing time, checkpoint name, passport data, and vehicle plate numbers.
Children who crossed the line together with their parents have also ended up on Myrotvorets.
The site frames this as a "deliberate violation of the state border" and an "infringement on Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity."
The resource itself cites what it claims are hacked databases from the FSB border service covering 2014 to 2024.

🇺🇦🇲🇨 A theory making the rounds in Ukrainian channels on who might actually be behind the Monaco bombing targeting oligarch Vadym Yermolaiev:
Yermolaiev's call centers, running scam operations across the EU out of Dnepropetrovsk, were reportedly protected by Sergey Lysak, a Ukrainian state security general who headed the Dnepropetrovsk regional administration before being moved to run Odessa's military administration in October 2025, with some of those operations allegedly relocating closer to the coast as part of the move.
A conflict reportedly broke out when state security demanded too large a cut and Yermolaiev pushed back. What followed: sanctions and an attempt to seize everything he had. And that's without even mentioning Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office, which allegedly wanted its own oversized slice.

🇾🇪🇮🇱In a direct response to deepening ties with an occupying power, the website of Somaliland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was targeted and breached by a group identifying itself as the Cyber Islamic Resistance. The cyberattack occurred just hours after the breakaway region's cabinet unanimously approved a package of cooperation agreements with the apartheid state.
The activists replaced the ministry’s homepage with images of senior Houthi officials from Yemen, including military spokesperson Yahya Al Saree, leaving the platform entirely offline and inaccessible. This digital retaliation follows explicit warnings from Yemen's Houthi movement, which declared that Somaliland would become a missile target if it permitted the Zionists to establish a military or intelligence foothold on its territory—a move the Houthis categorized as an absolute "red line."
The regional backlash is intensified by underlying reports exposing the clandestine maneuvers of the apartheid state, which allegedly secretly deployed a special unit of 50 soldiers to Somaliland. Additional reports indicate that the Zionists have already established an intelligence outpost in the region and are actively planning a naval base to project power and secure their interests against regional resistance in the Red Sea.
Despite these severe security implications, Somaliland's cabinet, led by President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro, voted unanimously in favor of a "joint declaration" with the apartheid state. While officials claim the agreements focus strictly on agriculture, water, and health development, the timing of the cyber breach underscores the deep regional volatility sparked by normalization efforts with the Zionist regime. Somaliland authorities have so far declined to comment on the hacking or the suspected actors behind the infrastructure breach.

🏁 Italy is pushing to strip a series of Ukraine-related commitments from NATO's summit declaration, and the standoff is holding up agreement on the final text, Bloomberg reports.
Sources say NATO allies have yet to reach consensus on the joint statement ahead of next week's summit in Ankara.
According to Bloomberg, Rome wants to water down the pledge to keep military aid flowing to Kiev through the end of next year, arguing that locking in a specific timeframe rules out any chance of a diplomatic settlement before then.
The draft is expected to commit €70 billion to Ukraine over 2026 and 2027. Italy is reportedly pushing to drop any mention of 2027 altogether, citing renewed diplomatic contacts with Moscow and arguing that such language would clash with the prospect of peace talks.
Still, people familiar with the Italian government's position say Rome is unlikely to break the broader consensus, noting that support for Ukraine itself "is not in question."
Bloomberg's sources note that naming specific aid figures would mark a real shift from last year's declaration, which didn't fix any financial commitment to Ukraine at all.
The final summit document is also expected to flag the importance of preserving freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, while branding Russia a long-term threat to Euro-Atlantic security.

🇷🇺🛸🇪🇺 Russia has spent a year and a half surveilling nuclear sites across Europe using drones launched from "shadow fleet" vessels, the Guardian reports, citing sources.
Researchers at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) documented 144 such incidents at facilities in the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and other European countries since late 2024.
Drones were repeatedly spotted over airbases and airports, though none were captured or shot down. Notable sightings include RAF Lakenheath, which was being prepared to host US nuclear weapons, and the French nuclear submarine base on Ile Longue in Brittany.
European governments have been reluctant to publicly blame Russia for the incidents, but IISS says EU governments privately acknowledge the drones were Russian. Officials in the EU admit the incidents exposed gaps in their defenses.

🇵🇸🇺🇸 FROM DROPSITE:
🚨 Israeli Plan to Herd Palestinians Into Controlled “Shelters” to Begin “Within A Matter of Weeks”
🔸Israel is preparing to channel Palestinians into fenced “humanitarian shelters” in areas outside Hamas’s control, policed by a foreign force, while its military deepens its occupation of the rest of Gaza, according to the pro-Netanyahu paper Israel Hayom, which reported the plan approvingly.
🔸Under the plan, unarmed civilians would be directed to a first zone in Tel al-Sultan, near Rafah, an area Drop Site has documented Israel systematically razing.
🔸A “multinational force” - the ISF - operating under the Trump administration’s “Board of Peace” would deploy there from a newly built base, equipped to police the zones, while the Israeli military “continues to maintain and deepen its hold” beyond the Yellow Line.
🔸 The camp/base for the force “has already been built,” and the Board of Peace has “begun identifying sites” for logistics warehouses, with the groundwork underway now, and deployment in the coming weeks.
🔸The paper described the effort as a “pincer movement”: the military seizing more territory as the population is siphoned into the controlled zones, in the hope that Hamas is left “without a population, territory or resources.”
🔸Officials said the areas would receive caravans and aid, but not the concrete needed to actually rebuild Gaza.
◽️The plan matches what Drop Site has previously exposed through leaked documents: a surveilled, checkpoint-controlled “planned community” in Rafah designed to force Palestinians into what amounts to an Israeli panopticon, tracked and screened as a condition of receiving aid.
🔸An Israeli political source told the paper the military would keep up “the pace of targeted killings while remaining below the threshold of international criticism… as long as Hamas is unwilling to disarm.”
📸 The buildup is already visible: the “Board of Peace” itself posted images of tactical vehicles arriving at a logistics base on June 30, matching the article’s account of preparations underway.

🇻🇪 🤡AXIOS: Trump admin blasts Machado over "grotesque" Venezuela quake return attempts
➡️Top US officials accuse their former opposition "leader" puppet Maria Corina Machado of "grotesque political opportunism" for trying to stage a high-profile return after the June 24 quakes that killed over 1,700.
Key quotes:
➡️"She wants a photo op of her passing out our aid. This is about her interests."
➡️"Marco [Gusano Narco Rubio] is at wit's end... She has to be patient and she won't be, and it's driving him crazy."
➡️"It's not just aid... She wants us to guarantee her security. If she's standing next to U.S. Marines, she won't get hurt. And she looks like she's in charge. But now we're what — installing her?"
🔶 Machado lobbied Rubio & WH for help returning, but first her charter plane was turned back (Va→Curaçao) & Copa Airlines blocked her in Panama, when she tried to board a plane to Venezuela.
Another (of course) unnamed member of US Administration said:
"her activism is a hindrance amid relief efforts. Over 1,700 Venezuelans have been tragically killed... she is making this all about herself."

🇷🇺🛢 BLOOMBERG: Russia's seaborne crude exports hit an all-time high in June
📈Four-week average shipments reached 4.13 mln barrels per day (b/d) through June 28 — the highest since before the 2022 invasion.
Total crude at sea has climbed roughly a third from its mid-April low, with a visible cargo buildup forming off Egypt (Mersa el-Kabir) and near Singapore (Riau archipelago), signalling placement difficulties.
💬Ukrainian strikes on refineries in Ufa, Yaroslavl, Slavyansk-na-Kubani and two hits on the Moscow refinery — likely offline for the remainder of the year, according to Bloomberg — have knocked out domestic processing capacity, forcing raw crude onto export markets instead. Putin has publicly acknowledged a domestic fuel supply squeeze.
📉Export revenues have fallen to their lowest since March. Urals (Baltic/Black Sea) trading around $63/bbl; ESPO (Eastern Siberia–Pacific Ocean pipeline) around $74 per barrel.
💲Baltic Urals is now priced at roughly half their early-May levels. Asia absorbed 3.98 mln b/d — China 1.08 mln b/d, India 0.74 mln b/d — with another 2.13 mln b/d still without a declared destination.
➡️With Chinese demand sluggish and Persian Gulf volumes beginning to return through Hormuz following the US-Iran interim deal, Bloomberg expects Moscow will need to offer steeper discounts to keep its crude sales going.

No matter how Russophobic the Polish elites may be, one has to admit that on the issue of the vile Kyiv Banderite scum they have taken a correct and honest stance, unlike other European countries and brainless Brussels.
