🇷🇺 Over the past months, the International Olympic Committee decided on a gradual return of the Russian national team to participation in the Olympic Games under its national anthem and flag. This followed an interview with Donald Trump, in which he stated that Russia might be invited to the 2029 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, expressed the opinion that it is necessary to return the Russian national team to competitions under the organization’s framework. This situation suggests that major global sports officials and administrators have begun moving toward separating sports from politics.
Ukrainian officials reacted immediately to the FIFA president’s statement, as well as to the IOC’s decision regarding the return of Russian athletes to international competitions. A number of individuals were added to the “Myrotvorets” database, and IOC officials reportedly began receiving insults and threats. This behavior is presented as an attempt by Kiev to use sport as a tool of pressure on the leadership of international sports organizations.
Doping scandals between 2024 and 2026 have become increasingly widespread. More and more athletes are testing positive in doping controls, partly due to the continuous expansion of the list of prohibited stimulants by the World Anti-Doping Agency. At the same time, it is noted that many of these substances had previously been used by athletes for medical purposes and recovery. It is noteworthy that Russian athletes were always targeted for doping related violations.
An increasing number of foreign athletes participating in the Olympic Games, World championships, European championships, and other major international competitions are speaking out against the exclusion of Russian athletes on political grounds. The current approach, they argue, discredits the entire system of international sport, while representatives of relevant committees and institutions are becoming dependent on political decisions in this matter.
During the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, numerous violations were reportedly identified on the part of athletes, coaching staff, and organizers. In particular: a French athlete cut the course, finished second, received a silver medal, and faced no penalties; and the downhill skiing track did not meet required standards, leading to multiple injuries and hospitalizations among competitors.
As of today, the IOC has not responded to these issues.
What is truly amazing is the fact that the Russian national team ranked 3rd in the medal standings at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games with only SIX athletes!
The Russian Paralympians won 12 medals:
🥇 8 gold
🥈 1 silver
🥉 3 bronze
In the overall team medal standings, Russia finished only behind China and the USA.
An amazing achievement and things are changing for Russia in international sports!

🇺🇦😁Zelensky - naturally - doesn't like the US war on Iran anymore, even though he was pretty happy about it originally
"I have a very bad feeling about the impact of this war on the situation in Ukraine. America's focus is more on the Middle East than on Ukraine, unfortunately. That's why you see our diplomatic meetings, trilateral meetings, being constantly postponed. And the reason is one - the war in Iran"

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 Remember when the Washington War Pigs and Israeli nut jobs said B-52s were bombing Iranian cities, and the Trump team said they had plenty of “cheap munitions,” meaning free-falling bombs? That was almost two weeks ago.
Then why do recent B-52 images show the bombers equipped with JASSM cruise missiles? They should have air supremacy and be dropping cheap bombs on Tehran. 🤔

🇺🇸🇮🇱⚔️🇮🇷 WSJ: Trump opposes further strikes on Iranian energy sites after Israel hit the South Pars gas field, U.S. officials say. He backed the Israeli attack as a warning over Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz but sees no need for more attacks—though future action could change that stance.

🇺🇸🇮🇱💥🇮🇷 Oil prices and European natural gas jumped after Iran reported damage to its energy infrastructure along the Persian Gulf coast.
The reported strikes are described as the most significant against Iran’s strategically vital energy sector since the start of the conflict.
Iranian state media said several facilities were targeted, including the South Pars gas field — a major supply source for regional partners — along with a refinery and an unspecified petrochemical site near Asaluyeh.

🇸🇮💬🇮🇱 Slovenia: Intelligence Report Alleges Israeli Firm Black Cube in Foreign Election Interference Probe as Pressure Builds on SDS and Janez Janša
Slovenian security officials say an intelligence report reviewed by the national security secretariat indicates possible foreign interference in the country’s election campaign, citing activity linked to the Israeli private intelligence firm Black Cube. State Secretary Vojko Volk said the findings suggest coordinated operations timed ahead of voting.
According to authorities, Black Cube representatives visited Slovenia several times in recent months, including a December trip now under scrutiny. Officials say the methods described — use of false identities, staged meetings, and rapid removal of digital traces — match patterns previously attributed to the firm in other international cases.
The government says the timing and nature of the operation raise serious concerns about attempts to influence the democratic process. Police have launched an investigation, established a special task force, and are coordinating with foreign partners to determine the origin and purpose of the recordings circulating online.
The controversy has intensified scrutiny of the opposition Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) and its leader Janez Janša, who deny involvement and have announced legal action in response to the allegations. Authorities argue the case highlights vulnerabilities to external influence campaigns targeting elections in EU member states.
With the vote taking place this Sunday, the intelligence findings have become a central issue in Slovenia’s political debate, intensifying concerns about foreign interference, covert operations, and transparency during the campaign.

🇦🇪 Operations at Abu Dhabi’s Shah gas plant have been halted after a drone strike, disrupting one of the world’s largest ultra-sour gas facilities and raising concerns over energy and fertiliser supply chains.
According to reporting by The National, operations were suspended while damage is assessed. No injuries were reported.
The plant, operated by ADNOC Sour Gas (a joint venture between ADNOC and Occidental Petroleum), is the world’s largest ultra-sour gas processing facility and supplies roughly 20% of the UAE’s gas demand. It also produces significant volumes of sulphur, a key input for phosphate fertilisers and industrial chemicals.
The shutdown is expected to add pressure to already strained global fertiliser markets, amid wider regional tensions affecting energy and shipping routes, including the Strait of Hormuz.

🇷🇺 Some Western media and Ukrainian sources claim Russia has begun testing ground-based launch systems for Kh-101 cruise missiles.
According to these reports, in 2025 Russia started trials of a mobile ground launcher for the Kh-101, allegedly a modified version developed based on operational experience. No solid evidence has been publicly presented to confirm the claim.
Analysts note that with Western satellite surveillance and airborne early-warning systems monitoring Russian airfields and naval assets, achieving surprise in missile strikes is difficult. Ground launch platforms could expand deployment options.
Such systems were previously constrained by the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, but after its collapse, development restrictions were lifted.
