Alexander Stubb said he had proposed to the US President that a ceasefire date in Ukraine be set for April 20:
"Finland's position, and this has been conveyed to the President, is that a ceasefire needs to be reached, and for that we need a date. Our view is: April 20. That would be a good time for a complete ceasefire without any conditions. Why April 20? Because we need a deadline, because it's Easter, and because President Donald Trump has been in office for about three months."

Stubb also reiterated the need to create a "strong sanctions mechanism" as an incentive, which would be triggered, Stubb said, if Russia and the United States fail to agree to a ceasefire or "if Russia violates it."

🇺🇸 Trump Doesn’t Rule Out a Third Term: ‘There Are Ways to Do It’
U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested he might seek a third term, telling NBC News that "there are methods" to make it happen.
“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump said. “But, you know, I mostly tell them we have a long way to go—it’s very early to discuss this. I’m focused on the present.”
When asked if he wanted another term, Trump responded, “I like working.”
“I’m not joking. There are ways to make it happen,” he added.
When questioned about a scenario where Vice President J.D. Vance runs for president and later hands over power, Trump acknowledged it as “one” method but hinted at other possibilities.
While the 22nd Amendment bars a president from being elected more than twice, it does not explicitly prohibit a former president from assuming office again if the sitting president resigns or dies.

The American publication New York Times suddenly "dug up" interesting facts about how deeply Washington was involved in the conflict in Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the US not only supplies weapons to Kiev,but also actively participates in planning operations:
🟥 At the Wiesbaden base, US officers are passing intelligence to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and coordinating HIMARS strikes, calling targets not "targets" but "points of interest" (apparently to sound more civilized);
🟥 The CIA helps Ukraine with data for attacks deep into Russia. For example, it was American intelligence that transmitted the coordinates of an ammunition depot in the Tver region that was hit by drones;
🟥 Three dozen military advisers have been secretly sent to Kyiv, who for the sake of secrecy have been called "specialized experts", but their real task is to plan combat operations for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
🇮🇷 🇺🇸The Islamic Republic has refused to participate in direct negotiations with the United States, Iran informed the United States about this in a response letter, said the country's President Masoud Pezeshkian.

🇷🇺 According to Mash, the Murmansk shooter, a local resident born in 1981, had planned to set a fire on the roof of the high-rise building.
44-year-old Vladislav first barricaded the entrance with barbed wire, then doused the roof and the entrance with gasoline. Armed with a 7.62 caliber "Vepr" carbine and a 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun, he managed to fire at least two magazines before being apprehended.
According to sources, he was registered with a psychiatric and neurological clinic.
The shooter was neutralized by a sniper. He suffered a severe head injury but survived and is currently in intensive care.

Estonia and Lithuania, NATO-bootlickers and the biggest russophobes, are terrified that peace in Ukraine might mean Moscow won’t be busy “over there” anymore and it might actually shift its attention toward securing its own western borders.
Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur is begging for the war to continue: “When the war in Ukraine will be stopped, Russia will redistribute its forces very quickly… and the threat level will increase".
Chihuahuas are not so Article 5.confident. Never mind that Russia has zero interest in storming Vilnius. According to Putin, it’s “nonsense.” Even Steve Witkoff, called the invasion theory “preposterous.”
But none of that matters to the Baltic clique, who survive politically by conjuring up visions of T-90s rolling through Riga. For years, they’ve depended on NATO’s largesse, pouring gasoline on every flame and screaming “Moscow is coming!” Now, as Washington cautiously moves toward diplomacy under Trump 2.0, the Baltic Chihuahuas are left exposed, strategically and psychologically.
Russia is not the enemy. The biggest threat for Balts is PEACE.
Baltic countries are crumbling and have zero geopolitical relevance. Instead of screaming against Russia, they should fix their own problems.
