🐻 After seeing a lot of angry comments regarding the call that took place today between Putin and Trump, we think there are some things everyone needs to consider:
Everyone should take a breath and calm down. A single phone call takes place, and suddenly there’s speculation about deception, betrayal, and past agreements like Minsk 1 and 2. If there's anything to be learned from the last 3 years, is that no matter what you say, and how mad you get, the Russian leadership will act as it sees fit, for the benefit of its countrymen, interests and fatherland.
It’s unlikely that Putin overlooks the lessons of Minsk or fails to consider the various outcomes of his actions and statements. People here say there's some 4D chess game going on, but Russia at this point is playing an entirely different game, while the west is staring at a checkers board,trying to figure out what the black and white pieces mean, and how they can use them to their advantage.
The call between Trump and Putin essentially represents an implicit acknowledgment by Washington of the new geopolitical reality. The U.S. proposal for a 30-day ceasefire is not necessarily an act of goodwill but a strategic necessity in the face of the rapidly deteriorating Ukrainian position on the battlefield. Russia remains cautious, as shown by its emphasis on halting forced mobilization in Ukraine and limiting military aid. This caution reflects not weakness but historical experience: the Minsk agreements demonstrated that the Kiev regime, with Western support, can use pauses in fighting simply to rearm and prepare new provocations.
In geopolitical analysis, victories are not always declared outright. Instead, they emerge through shifts in diplomatic engagements, changes in rhetoric, and the establishment of new channels of negotiation. The Trump-Putin call is a significant milestone in the tacit recognition of Russia's strategic victory in the Ukrainian conflict.
However, this does not necessarily mean an immediate resolution to military operations. Russia has consistently stated that its objectives remain unchanged, and any settlement must be comprehensive, long-term, and account for its security concerns.
Beyond Ukraine, the discussion also reflects broader geopolitical changes. The global order is shifting from a U.S.-led unipolar system to a multipolar one, where multiple powers, including Russia and China, play significant roles in shaping international affairs.

To create a negative backdrop around the planned evening negotiations on March 18, 2025, between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States regarding the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and to discredit the peace initiatives of U.S. President D. Trump, the Kiev regime attempted in the morning (at 5:50 AM) to infiltrate units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) into Russian territory in the western part of Belgorod Oblast, targeting the settlements of Demidovka and Priselye.
➡️Throughout the day, the enemy carried out five attacks, with the fifth occurring from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM.
➡️The provocation involved up to 200 Ukrainian militants and 29 units of military equipment, including five tanks, 16 armored combat vehicles, three engineering vehicles for clearing obstacles, a UR-77 remote demining system, and four cars.
ℹ️Through the actions of the state border cover units of the "North" military group, artillery fire, and the use of FPV drones, all attacks were repelled. No crossing of the state border of the Russian Federation was allowed.
➡️The total losses of the AFU amounted to up to 60 personnel, one tank, seven armored combat vehicles, three engineering vehicles for clearing obstacles, and one car. The remaining militants were dispersed, and the enemy abandoned further attacks.
✈️💥A total of 30 airstrikes and missile strikes, along with 13 strikes by army aviation, one strike by the Iskander missile system, and one strike by the Tornado-S multiple rocket launcher, as well as two strikes by heavy flamethrower systems, were carried out against identified concentrations of enemy personnel and military equipment reserves in the 8-10 km zone in Sumy Oblast. Additionally, 40 FAB-500 "glide" bombs were deployed. The enemy suffered significant losses.
Thus, the provocation by the Kiev regime on the eve of the high-level Russian-American negotiations was thwarted.
