Two Chinese Type 815A electronic surveillance ships were reportedly sighted in the Persian Gulf on June 16. Their mission appears to be monitoring the escalating situation in the Middle East.
These vessels are equipped to track missile launches from both Iranian and Israeli positions and can collect telemetry data from regional military activity.

Since 2015, the IAEA has used Palantir’s Mosaic platform (designed for U.S. military ops) to monitor Iran’s nuclear program under the JCPOA. Mosaic processed over 400M data objects, including satellite and social media, enabling 60+ SURPRISE inspections.
But during an AMA Palantir’s founder Peter Thiel was asked, "Is Palantir a front for the CIA?" Thiel replied, "No, The CIA is a front for Palantir." Most likely referencing their CIA funding and founding.
Even more recently, was recent as last week, Thiel fielded a question about Palantir's use in Gaza to which he said, ""I'm not on top of all the details of what's going on in Israel, because my my bias is to defer to Israel."

On June 12, 2025, Iran leaked documents allegedly showing IAEA chief Rafael Grossi coordinating directly with Israel. Iran says the IAEA became a conduit for Israeli intelligence—echoing earlier claims from 2018, when Mossad raids uncovered internal IAEA files.
The June 2025 IAEA resolution: the FIRST in 20 years, citing 400kg of 60% enriched uranium. Days later, Israel bombed Natanz, Fordow, and Esfahan. Iran accused the IAEA of providing cover for the strikes.
Meanwhile, Palantir’s CEO held a 2024 board meeting in Tel Aviv “in solidarity” with Israel. And Thiel’s circle, which pushed for Trump’s 2018 JCPOA withdrawal, now stands at the center of a surveillance network blurring the line between arms control and regime change.
Iran has now limited IAEA monitoring.
Critics, including Russia’s Yermakov and analyst Ali Vaez, warn that Palantir’s data could produce false positives from “dirty” inputs like Israel’s 2018 file dump, triggering inspections or war based on politicized intelligence.

Iran is prepared to respond if the United States directly enters the conflict on Israel’s behalf, said Iran’s permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Ali Bahreini.
He pledged a “decisive” and “immediate” response to Israeli attacks, emphasizing that Tehran would retaliate in a proportional manner. Bahreini accused Washington of shielding Israel from accountability.
“We will not hesitate to defend our people, our security, and our land. Our response will be serious and resolute, without limitations,” he told reporters.

A major U.S. bombing campaign against Iran is expected to begin as early as this weekend, according to (his trusted) Israeli and American sources.
Approved by the Trump administration, the strikes will focus on key military and nuclear infrastructure, including the fortified Fordow facility, where Iran’s most advanced centrifuges are located deep underground. The delay in timing, Hersh reports, is due to Trump’s desire to avoid disrupting U.S. markets when trading opens Monday.
The operation goes beyond targeting Iran’s nuclear capabilities—it aims to destabilize the country's leadership. U.S. and Israeli planners are counting on internal unrest to break out, hoping that strikes on military bases, police stations, and administrative centers will incite broader opposition. Hersh says there are even unconfirmed reports that Ayatollah Khamenei may have left Tehran.
While some in Washington favor installing a moderate religious figure to lead the country in a transitional phase, Israeli officials reportedly reject this, pushing instead for full political control through a loyal replacement. These internal disagreements reflect a deeper divide over what post-strike Iran should look like. Intelligence circles are also looking to Iran’s ethnic minorities—particularly Azeris with alleged CIA ties—as potential tools to spark wider dissent.
The plan, according to Hersh, bears resemblance to previous Western interventions in Libya and Syria, where external pressure led to long-term instability and suffering. The attack on Iran, he warns, could have similar consequences, potentially fragmenting the country and inflaming the region—all while being driven by Netanyahu’s strategic aims and Trump’s desire for a major geopolitical “win.”
