💬🇺🇦🇷🇺FSB Prevents Terrorist Attack Against Crimean Metropolitan Tikhon in Moscow
The Russian FSB has successfully thwarted a terrorist attack targeting Crimean Metropolitan Tikhon in Moscow. Shockingly, the plot was allegedly orchestrated by two individuals close to him — his assistant, Denis Popovich, and a cleric from the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Sokolniki. Both suspects have been detained and arrested for their involvement in the attack, which was reportedly prepared with the support of Ukrainian military intelligence.
Key Details:
➡️The attack was planned to take place during the Metropolitan’s stay at the Sretensky Monastery, where Popovich intended to deliver an explosive device.
➡️A homemade bomb and Ukrainian passports with altered data were confiscated from the detainees.
➡️The perpetrators intended to flee Russia using fake passports provided by Ukrainian special services.
➡️The explosive device was handed over to the suspects through a hidden drop-off point in December 2024.
Both individuals have been arrested and have confessed to their involvement.

Investigations revealed that Popovich and the cleric had been sending funds to the Ukrainian Armed Forces since mid-2022. Their phone contacts included 73 Ukrainian numbers, among them a Ukrainian border service officer and an employee of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ press service.
Popovich also illegally accessed Metropolitan Tikhon’s Telegram account, monitored his correspondence, and gathered information about his travels across Russia.
A criminal case has been initiated against Popovich and the cleric, Ivankovich, under charges of preparing a terrorist attack and illegally circulating explosive devices as part of an organized group.

🇲🇱 Mali: Government Forces Target Terrorists in Counterterror Operations
Over the past week, Malian security forces have conducted multiple operations against militant groups, with several notable incidents:
➡️February 27: In a bizarre twist, two terrorists accidentally detonated their own IED while attempting to mine a road. Their bodies were later found near the blast site. Meanwhile, another IED they planted struck a Malian military vehicle.
➡️February 23: Heavy fighting broke out near Kolongo and southeast of Gossi, resulting in the elimination of 14 militants. Security forces also seized dozens of motorcycles and radios. Three government troops were injured after triggering an IED.
➡️February 21: Security forces foiled an ambush near Ke-Macina, neutralizing nine terrorists before they could strike.

On February 27, Russian-American consultations in an expert format were held in Istanbul between the Director of the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Darchiev and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Coulter.
In accordance with the instructions of the heads of the foreign policy departments, ways to overcome numerous "irritants" inherited from previous American administrations were discussed in detail, as well as issues related to Russia's diplomatic property in the United States were touched upon in the context of the return to the Russian side of six real estate properties illegally seized in the period 2016-2018.
In concrete terms, the American side was asked to consider the possibility of restoring direct air traffic. The discussions were meaningful and businesslike.

A video has surfaced and made rounds on different social media platforms across Africa especially East Africa of a very gruesome murdering of tied up civilians.
According to our analysis of the video, the armed personnel are highly likely to be ADF rebels who were fought off from Uganda and found refuge in Congolese forests. Their Swahili accent is Ugandan, a local language from Uganda can be heard and also Arabic.
ADF rebels are originally Ugandan islamist militants(ISIS affiliated) who for long caused havoc in Uganda in the border regions of Uganda and Congo. After their defeat, they fled to Congo where they seek momentum to recoup and reattack Uganda. Their ideology is as repugnant as are their actions.
It should be noted that Uganda has a contingent of soldiers in the Congo for this very reason however controversial the issue has been. With the ailing state of the Congolese army in the East of the country where many of these rebels are, such acts will only likely abound.
