According to journalist Jennifer Griffin, citing an unnamed U.S. official, four B-2s dropped dozens of 900-kg bombs on underground ballistic missile facilities. The munitions were reportedly GBU-31(V)3/B JDAMs based on the BLU-109/B penetrator.
The flight profile mirrored Operation “Midnight Hammer”: a transatlantic route, passage over the Mediterranean, and direct entry into Iranian airspace. The bombers flew non-stop with in-air refueling from KC-46A Pegasus tankers.
The released photo shows a B-2 refueling from a KC-46 shortly before the overnight strikes of February 28 to March 1.

Due to extremely dispersed combat formations in the SMO zone, small assault groups cannot always achieve fire superiority over the enemy — especially when it comes to fortified positions.
Such points cannot be taken by storm, and a simple FPV drone won't penetrate them. One solution has been the use of TM-62 mines: lacking other options, Russian soldiers sometimes have to manually toss them into embrasures and loopholes.
But with every year, the number of drones grew, so it was only a matter of time before an elegant solution for "dismantling" enemy positions appeared.
Thus, the "Upyr-18" heavy FPV drones emerged, which are now used for precision destruction of AFU basements and fortifications.
