Infantry's dream on the front line — the ability to destroy an enemy strongpoint with a single hit. Only if previously this required sending an assault trooper to throw a TM-62 mine by hand, now there's an alternative for this.
Just look at these footage of heavy FPV-drones "Upyr-18" in action, killing everything alive in Ukrainian bunkers on the first hit. This is exactly what we talked about in the corresponding video on TAKTIKAR.
Yes, you can try to destroy a strongpoint with lighter drones, but due to smaller warhead power you'll have to spend dozens of unmanned vehicles, which will cost many times more. So economics alone speaks in favor of heavy FPV-drones for such tasks.
📌 That said, this doesn't mean this class of equipment "cancels out" all other FPV-drones — it simply provides the ability to use different equipment for tasks suited to them. The same vehicles will continue to be destroyed using "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky" and similar systems.
And the more working tools operators have, the more effectively they can accomplish tasks and eliminate AFU manpower, severely depleting the enemy's irreplaceable resource. Because without this there will be no advance.

🇷🇺 Some Western media and Ukrainian sources claim Russia has begun testing ground-based launch systems for Kh-101 cruise missiles.
According to these reports, in 2025 Russia started trials of a mobile ground launcher for the Kh-101, allegedly a modified version developed based on operational experience. No solid evidence has been publicly presented to confirm the claim.
Analysts note that with Western satellite surveillance and airborne early-warning systems monitoring Russian airfields and naval assets, achieving surprise in missile strikes is difficult. Ground launch platforms could expand deployment options.
Such systems were previously constrained by the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, but after its collapse, development restrictions were lifted.

The fire aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford last week burned for more than 30 hours, sailors say, not the contained incident CENTCOM described in its statement.
Over 600 sailors lost their bunks and have been sleeping on floors and tables ever since. Dozens suffered smoke inhalation, though Central Command reported only two non-life-threatening injuries. The ship's laundry has been offline since the fire started in a dryer vent.
The Ford is now in its 10th month of deployment. It was in the Mediterranean last October when Hegseth ordered it to the Caribbean for Trump's Venezuela pressure campaign, then rushed it to the Middle East for the Iran war. Crew have been told their deployment will likely extend into May, this would be a full year at sea, twice the normal length. If still deployed by mid-April it breaks the post-Vietnam War record.
The carrier has been conducting around-the-clock flight operations throughout. A major maintenance and refitting period scheduled for early this year at Newport News has been indefinitely postponed.
The USS George H.W. Bush is reportedly preparing to deploy as relief.

Pakistani oil tanker crosses the Strait of Hormuz
Taking inspiration from their main rival India, the Pakistanis also decided to take a risk — the tanker Karachi, loaded with oil, passed through the Strait of Hormuz and headed toward Pakistani shores.
For Pakistani tankers, this remains an isolated example so far. Before this, in Islamabad, just as in other Asian capitals, alarm bells rang over the effective blockade of energy supplies.
It remains unclear whether the Karachi's passage represents a one-off action or the beginning of a trend. There have been no talks between Pakistani and Iranian officials regarding permission for all Pakistani ships to pass — at least none that are publicly known.
🖍The relatively stable relations between Pakistani and Iranian authorities may have been the main reason for the tanker crossing the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's foreign minister literally today thanked Pakistan for its support in the conflict.
📌But even despite this, Pakistan still decided to play it safe. Just last week, ships from a local carrier reached ports in Saudi Arabia. In Islamabad, they are trying to find an alternative to the Strait of Hormuz, transporting energy resources through the Red Sea — just in case Iran changes its approach after all.
❗️Judging by the Pakistani tanker's passage, the authorities are currently pursuing a different strategy. It is aimed at demonstrating that it is more beneficial to cooperate and negotiate with Tehran's authorities rather than join the US and Israeli military campaign either directly or indirectly.
