After demonstrations in Paris today, France's Yellow Vests movement has announced a new nationwide wave of protests on October 31, according to French media.
The movement is calling for rallies and sit-ins outside the National Assembly in Paris and at town halls across the country.
Organizers accuse President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu's government of an "authoritarian drift," pointing to sweeping bans on demonstrations.
"Our freedoms are under threat," the movement's representatives said, warning of growing public anger that the authorities keep ignoring.
"We will protest for the freedom to demonstrate and for all our freedoms," the organizers added.

🇪🇺 Trouble in the Belarusian fake "government-in-exile": husband says his wife built her career on his face
Siarhei Tsikhanouski, the Belarusian blogger released from prison in June 2025 after nearly five years, has turned on his wife, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. Western capitals have spent years treating her as the "leader of democratic Belarus," complete with an office in Vilnius and a self-styled transitional cabinet.
Back on his livestreams, Tsikhanouski accuses her of using his image and popularity to secure Western grants and support:
"Wasn't it our photos that Sviatlana Georgievna carried on her folders all these years to squeeze grants out of Western partners? Who is Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya? She was a technical candidate that every Belarusian against Lukashenko voted for. The share who actually backed her was tiny, because nobody even knew her. People knew she was the wife of a blogger, the real candidate Siarhei Tsikhanouski, whom the election commission refused to register. That's why, by fraud, passing off my campaign group as her own, she got registered. And they registered her because she posed no threat to the regime."
🇮🇱🇸🇮 Slovenia targeted by a second Israeli spy-for-hire firm in under a year
Months after the Black Cube scandal, a new leak shows another Israeli intelligence firm working against Slovenian citizens.
According to leaked company documents published by the Israeli daily Haaretz, Cyberglobes, a firm based in Be'er Sheva that sells social media surveillance tools to governments, ran searches on opponents of a planned second reactor at Slovenia's only nuclear power plant, in Krško. The project is worth an estimated €15–22 billion. Targets included Jonas Sonnenschein, a German-born environmental economist and one of the project's best-known critics; the climate movement Youth for Climate Justice; and Amnesty International's Slovenian branch. The firm searched most of their members to map their connections. According to the Slovenian daily Delo, it also accessed some of their contact lists.
Cyberglobes' track record speaks for itself. Its tools were used to profile protesters in Nigeria after deadly crackdowns, compile lists of LGBTQ people for the Indonesian government, and gather information on opposition leaders in Mozambique. Meta banned it from Facebook and Instagram in 2022 for scraping user data.
Who hired it in Slovenia remains unknown. Gen energija, the state-owned company behind the reactor project, denies any involvement. US nuclear giant Westinghouse, the favorite to build the reactor, has stayed silent.
The official response looks familiar. Prime Minister Janez Janša's government says it has "no evidence," and police say reviewing public data is not a crime. Slovenia's intelligence agency, SOVA, briefed parliament's intelligence oversight committee behind closed doors. Nothing was decided.
Before the March election, Janša's party headquarters hosted Black Cube CEO Dan Zorella and retired IDF Major General Giora Eiland, Israel's former national security chief. Months later, covertly filmed videos targeting the then-ruling coalition of Prime Minister Robert Golob surfaced during the campaign. SOVA said the operation was most likely ordered from inside Slovenia. Janša first denied knowing the firm, then admitted meeting one of its executives "socially." After returning to power in June, his government dismissed the SOVA director who had presented the evidence.
No one has yet proven who ordered either operation. But two Israeli spy firms, a prime minister with close ties to Tel Aviv, and authorities in no hurry to find out who paid make the pattern hard to ignore.

The bridge opened on October 15, establishing a new transport connection between Best Korea and its largest trading partner.
Kim last visited China in September 2025, while Chinese President Xi Jinping travelled to Pyongyang in June 2026.

🇩🇪 Hitler's "Eagle's Nest" in Bavaria largely destroyed by fire, arson suspected
The Kehlsteinhaus, the Alpine retreat built for the Nazi leadership near Berchtesgaden, went up in flames on Friday evening. Police were alerted at around 9:15 p.m., and the building was already fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. Around 200 firefighters and emergency workers battled the blaze, but access was hampered by the site's location at 1,834 meters.
According to German media, the building is practically destroyed. No one was reportedly inside at the time.
Police detained a suspect shortly after the fire broke out, close to the scene. The case is being treated as a criminal investigation, but investigators have not yet established whether the suspect was involved, and no motive has been given.
The Kehlsteinhaus was completed in 1938 as a guest house and meeting venue for Nazi officials, reportedly a 50th birthday gift for Hitler. He visited only occasionally; his main residence, the Berghof, stood nearby. After the war the building was preserved as a historical monument and has operated as a restaurant since 1952, owned by the state of Bavaria.

➡️The main driving force behind the initiative is Deputy Defense Secretary, venture billionaire Steve Feinberg, who brought in veterans of CIA covert operations. Behind closed doors, they're already preparing over one and a half billion dollars in contracts with the private IT sector.
Inside the American security establishment, the project is already causing sparks. Meanwhile, Congress was effectively sidelined from actual oversight of TSO.

Sauli Niinistö, Finland's president from 2012 to 2024, describes years of dealings with Putin in his memoir "Kaikki tiet turvaan" ("All Roads to Safety").
➡️In May 2022, Niinistö phoned Putin to tell him Finland was joining NATO. Niinistö says Putin stayed calm and replied: "You are making a mistake." Putin also said he hoped Finland would keep some of its self-determination, because "the Americans will surely take military control."
➡️Niinistö's diary records a call with Joe Biden in January 2022, a month before the start of the SMO. In that call, the US president appeared to push him to use NATO membership as leverage against Moscow. Putin brought the issue up himself in their next call. He said Washington was using the idea to intimidate Russia.
➡️Putin's gifts kept Finnish aides guessing. One was a medal once awarded to Samuel Werner von Troil, a 19th-century Finnish statesman who opposed Tsar Nicholas II's Russification policy. Another, for Niinistö's 70th birthday, was a collection of letters between Finland's wartime leader Carl Gustaf Mannerheim and his family.
➡️At the 2012 St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Putin served guests an 1845 Madeira wine and wondered aloud how good things were back then. Niinistö took this as a reminder that Finland was then a Grand Duchy of the Russian Empire.
Putin's warning has aged well. Helsinki has since signed a defense agreement that opens 15 military sites on Finnish soil to US forces.
