🗽 The US has approved the first stablecoin regulation rules under the GENIUS act, which will come into effect on January 18, 2027, key points:
🔵 Stablecoin Rewards. The OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) has abandoned previously proposed restrictions on individual user payout programs via crypto exchanges and third-party platforms.
🔵 Issuer Reserves. The regulator softened reserve management rules but maintained the mandatory 1:1 backing of stablecoins.
🔵 Oversight and Licensing. Requirements for licensing, risk management, reserve custody, and stablecoin redemption are stipulated for issuers.
Other regulators continue to develop their own requirements.

⚰️ The L2 network graveyard continues to fill up — following Kinto and Swellchain, as well as recent announcements about the closure of Blast and Abstract, the final shutdown was announced by Sophon — a project from the zkSync ecosystem.
The network will be shut down on November 30, but assets must be withdrawn and rewards claimed by the 25th, otherwise funds may become permanently inaccessible.

⛩ Japanese Metaplanet, which has already accumulated 44 000 BTC, is entering the American market — Super League shareholders approved a deal under which the company will transfer 2100 BTC and $2.5 million in exchange for 95.7% of the shares.
