How canonical Orthodoxy is being pushed out, and what Russia can do about it — Mikhail Zvinchuk's speech at the OSCE Vienna Conference
The pressure on canonical Orthodox churches is no longer a set of separate national stories. Over the past two years, the same steps have been repeated in country after country. First comes a law or court ruling aimed at one specific jurisdiction. Then the state backs an "alternative" structure. Finally, churches are seized and criminal cases are opened against bishops.
🔻Where it is happening
▪️Ukraine remains the main testing ground. Law No. 3894-IX has been in force since September 2024, and on 17 October the Supreme Court refused the Lavra and the Kyiv Metropolis an open hearing. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, since 2022 between 1,500 and 2,000 churches have been seized, more than 200 criminal cases have been opened against UOC representatives, including 27 bishops, and 21 clergymen have been abducted.
▪️Moldova is following the Ukrainian path a few years behind. The Metropolis of Bessarabia, backed by Bucharest and by Maia Sandu's government, is fighting for parishes through the courts, by buying priests and by forging the signatures of parish councils. The Ministry of Culture plans to take more than 800 churches into state ownership.
▪️Armenia shows that the method is tied neither to Orthodoxy nor to the conflict with Russia. Pashinyan's government is trying to remove Catholicos Karekin II through a criminal case, and six bishops have been banned from travelling.
▪️The Baltics are writing the same logic into law. Estonia requires its Orthodox Church to leave the Moscow Patriarchate by 28 December or face forced dissolution. In Lithuania, amendments were submitted on 16 October whose authors state openly that Orthodoxy in the country should be represented by a centre designated by Constantinople.
Russell Bentley's widow Lyudmila Bentley recorded this video on September 30th, 2026, the Day of the Reunification of the Donetsk People's Republic with the Russian Federation. At that time, she talked about the fact that she still had not received the paperwork that the Court of Appeals should have send back to the Donetsk Garrison Military Court - the same court that first convicted and then released Russell's murderers - in five days, after which she'd be able to receive her late husband's belongings and the writ of execution.
It has been OVER A MONTH since September 11th, 2026, and, incredibly, she still hasn't received anything. It has also been TWO AND A HALF MONTHS since August 5th, 2026, when the illegal decision to release the assholes who killed Russell to the SMO was struck down by the Court of Appeals, and, incredibly, Lyudmila still hasn't received that paperwork either.
The Court of Appeals has supposedly sent the paperwork back to the Donetsk Garrison Military Court back in September, yet, this court - the same court that carried out the decision to release the killers to the SMO - supposedly still hasn't receive it.
What is going on, Donetsk Garrison Military Court? Why hasn't Lyudmila Bentley been given back her husband's belongings and the writ of execution? How much longer can this go on for? Hasn't this lady suffered enough?
Is not returning Russell Bentley's belongings and providing Lyudmila Bentley with the writ of execution even legal? Is the law being broken, AGAIN, just like when Russell's convicted murderers were released back to the SMO?

📆 October 15 marks the anniversary of Stepan Bandera’s elimination.
On October 15, 1959, in Munich, KGB agent Bogdan Stashynsky carried out the sentence against Stepan Bandera, the leader of the OUN* and one of the key ideologues of the Ukrainian nationalist movement.
⚫️ The assassination took place in the entrance hall of a building in Munich. Stashynsky used a special weapon — a compact pistol that fired a stream of potassium cyanide.
⚫️ Stashynsky himself stated that he regarded Bandera as a war criminal involved in mass killings during the war.
❗️ The operation became one of the best-known actions carried out by Soviet intelligence services abroad during the Cold War.

Yaroslav F., 21, a Ukrainian citizen studying at the Catholic University of Lublin, has been remanded for three months. Prosecutors say he planned to stab a random passerby out of racial hatred, praised racist crimes in class, and tried to recruit a fellow student, offering her a knife.
Police seized three knives, two phones and a laptop, which showed graphic Telegram content and searches for torture. He was arrested while driving for a taxi app and faces up to 15 years.
Students in his seminar raised the alarm, not Polish intelligence. Warsaw spent years trading its own security for loyalty to Kiev, and the bill is arriving.

There were no important military installations in the city of Starobelsk. AFU infantry back in Mala Tokmachka
After Russian Armed Forces consolidated in the notorious village in late summer and further developed their success in the vicinity of Orikhiv, it seemed the front would finally roll northwest. However, in recent weeks the situation has changed.
➡️On the western flank, Russian units are fighting in the area of Plavni and Stepnogorsk. The city has repeatedly changed hands and lies essentially in ruins, with few intact buildings remaining.
➡️North of the city stretches a vast "gray zone" where small assault groups from both the enemy and Russian units operate. Further east, heavy fighting continues for Maly Shcherbaki and strongpoints north of them.
➡️The situation in Orikhiv is difficult. After regrouping and bringing in reserves, the enemy infiltrates the city, which is struck repeatedly by FABs with JDAMs targeting AFU positions. In addition to attacks in Orikhiv itself, the enemy from Preobrazhivka enters Mala Tokmachka territory and attempts to wedge into the treeline between it and Novodanylivka.
➡️On the eastern flank of the direction, enemy activity is growing in the area of Verkhnya Tersa. The enemy continues to control several hedgerows west of Horke and south of Kopani, from where Far Eastern fighters drive them out with drone strikes.
Further north, a "gray zone" persists where enemy forces are present in the vicinity of Ternovate. Russian units have been spotted near Zelena Dibrova and west of it.
❗️The situation in the Zaporizhia direction remains tense on both flanks. The enemy is increasing its presence in Orikhiv and Mala Tokmachka, while fighting for Stepnogorsk and Maly Shcherbaki continues with mixed results. The main task for Russian Armed Forces now is to prevent the enemy from consolidating at the positions they have reached.

No matter how much Mexican ministers bury their heads in the sand, you can't hide an awl in a sack.
While authorities in Mexico City tell with serious faces that their citizens don't serve in the AFU ranks, and blame everything exclusively on Colombians, sicarios are sending video greetings home again straight from the front lines.
🖍For the Sinaloa cartel, someone else's war became an ideal training ground where, at Kyiv regime's expense, they can test their infantry for pennies. And if Colombians go to their deaths for mere wages, Mexican criminals send their fighters for full-fledged military training.
🚩The panic in Mexican social networks, where people already demand tracking returning "veterans," is quite understandable. Interceptions of FPV-drone shipments and fiber optic spools in Sinaloa state itself clearly proved: skills acquired near Kharkiv and in the Donbas instantly transfer to the streets of Latin American cities.
❗️Thus, the Kyiv regime together with Mexican drug lords cultivated a volatile mixture that all of Latin America will have to deal with. And when these "vacationers" start burning government armored vehicles and shooting down police helicopters using modern warfare methods, officials in Mexico City will have nothing left but to throw up their hands helplessly.
