Bayern Munich’s young full back Magnus Dalpiaz, 18, has enjoyed a good season in Munich. The Austrian talent has been at Bayern since 2019, having joined from SpVgg Unterhaching, and has progressed through the ranks during that time. Starting for the U-19s this season, he fought out the competition of 3 other right backs to become the starter before being promoted to the U-23s and professional football in the Regionalliga about halfway through the season. This progression sees Dalpiaz rewarded with a new long term contract, via Bayern’s official website: FC Bayern has extended the contract of talented full-back Magnus Dalpiaz (*20.02.2007) early. The Austrian youth international signed a new contract that binds him to the record champions until June 2028. The 18-year-old has already played for Bayern for six years. Dalpiaz is a physically excellent player, who has both the physicality and speed and needed to dominate his flank. He has also demonstrated an excellent goal scoring touch this season, scoring an unbelievable 7 goals in 12 appearances in the first stage of the U-19 league season...from the right back position. Dalpiaz achieved this tally with the kind of powerful shooting and clinical attacking movement that one rarely expects from a right back.He has his weaknesses, however. He sometimes tends to rely too much on his physicality, with his defensive positioning needing some work. He can also struggle technically, at times. Nevertheless, the 18-year-old will have time to work on these flaws and build on his qualities in the three years he has dedicated to playing in Munich.

João Palhinha has not found his footing at Bayern Munich just yet, but that does not mean that the club is ready to give up on him — especially head coach Vincent Kompany. “He played the full 90 minutes against Augsburg two weeks ago and did well. It’s always a balance. We have other players who did well. It’s not always about someone not doing well. It’s about the others. He was unlucky with injuries. But now he’s fully ready to help the team when his moment comes. Hopefully, he’ll show how good he is many more times in his moments to come,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). Kompany is not alone, though. Sporting director Christoph Freund indicated that he has no plans (at least as of now) to sell Palhinha this summer. “He hasn’t really gotten into a rhythm—partly due to injuries. This is his first year playing at such a big club. He’s a true professional, a great character, and a top guy. It’s not our plan at all to let him go in the summer,” said Freund (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). Ultimately, Palhinha’s fate will be decided this summer, but time is ticking on him being able to prove himself. With the arrival of Tom Bishof into the mix for next season, opportunities could be even more scare next season.

Leroy Sané’s contract situation at Bayern Munich has been well reported on. Unlike some other players, the German winger has declared he has eyes only for a stay in Munich. With his contract running out in a couple of short months, however, it may not be up to him...though there are rumors of the Bavarians finally deciding to offer Sané a contract. Still, the contract situation enables several other clubs to enquire about his situation. According to Tz reporters, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, a club from the Saudi Pro League have entered the queue for the former Schalke 04 player:Saudi Pro League leaders Al-Ittihad are interested in Leroy Sané and are willing to offer him a huge salary. For the player, however, a move there is currently out of the question. His preferred outcome remains to stay at FC Bayern. Bayern are offering Sané a 3-year heavily performance-based contract until 2028 worth around €15m gross per year all-in. Nothing has been signed yet. There are still details to be clarified. Arsenal are also interested in Sané.Will he continue to push for a deal at Bayern? Will he look to go to Arsenal FC? Or will he chase the morally dubious riches of the Saudi Pro League? At this point, a decision must be reached soon.

The struggles of Kim Min-jae and the expiring contracts of Dayot Upamecano (2026) and Eric Dier (2025) make the position a rather uncertain one at the moment for the Bavarians. Naturally, this sees Bayern linked with plenty of center backs, with the latest link being to AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw, via Italian reporter Niccolò Ceccarini (and captured by @iMiaSanMia): FC Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen are interested in Milan defender Malick Thiaw (23). The German international, under contract until 2027, is valued at €30m by the Rossoneri.The defender has been in and out of the team this season for one reason or another, but his price tag may be cheap enough to tempt Bayern to make a move. Additionally, his signing would allow to Bayern to sign a German defender to the roster for the first time in 4 years. For a club such as Bayern that prides itself on having the best German players, this could finally end that drought.

AS Roma v Bayer 04 Leverkusen: Semi-Final First Leg - UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Bayern is ready to splash the cash for Wirtz, but at what stage is the development of this prospective summer move? At this point, it is very well known that Bayern Munich is ready to go all out this summer to try to sign Bayer Leverkusen and Germany star Florian Wirtz. Adding him to the German Rekordmeister’s firing line would be a dream come true for the greater majority of Bayern fans, especially being able to see him play alongside Jamal Musiala, but just how far along in the process is Bayern in terms of getting this prospective move over the line this summer?Bayern’s front office and supervisory board have not shied away at all from admitting that they’re ready and willing to spend upwards of 130 to 140 million euros to sign Wirtz, and they have actively been trying to budget their books to be able to make the move happen. Wirtz has been a top transfer target for Bayern for some time now and all signs are pointing towards this summer being the time where a move would come to fruition. Former club president Uli Hoeneß and club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have reportedly been in contact with Wirtz’s father and representatives already, but Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro recently shut down any and all rumors linking Wirtz with Bayern.“There’s no contact [between Leverkusen and Bayern], so there’s no offer from Bayern,” Carro bluntly replied when he was asked about all of the rumors suggesting Wirtz would leave Leverkusen for Bayern this summer while attending the 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid, Spain (via @iMiaSanMia). Bayern has openly made it clear that Wirtz is their top transfer target and Hoeneß had outright said that he would “love” to see the player come to the club — it’s no surprise he has reportedly been the driving force in the discussions with Wirtz’s father behind the scenes. Max Eberl recently refused to comment on Hoeneß’s forthright words on Wirtz potentially coming to Bayern. When Carro was directly asked whether or not he feels Wirtz will wind up staying a Leverkusen beyond this summer, he replied “I expect him to stay, yes.” Wirtz’s current contract with Die Werkself runs through June 2027, having last extended his contract back in 2022. A lot can still happen between now and the beginning of the summer transfer window, which will be congested around this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup in the United States for Bayern.
