❗️Palestine Action wins approval to launch legal challenge against UK government
Huda Ammori, who co-founded Palestine Action in 2020, petitioned London’s High Court and won her bid to allow a full judicial review of the group’s proscription, which the government imposed on the grounds that it engaged in or supported terrorist acts.
Earlier this month, the High Court denied Ammori’s request to suspend the ban, and a final appeal also failed, allowing the proscription to take effect just after midnight on 5 July.
Under the ban, it is a criminal offense to be a member of the group, carrying a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison.

⭕️ Egypt training hundreds of Palestinians for post-war Gaza security roles
In a clip of the interview with Al Arabiya channel, which has yet to be aired, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Egypt has a clear plan for security and governance arrangements in Gaza after the war ends and it is training Palestinian operatives who will be deployed in the Gaza Strip and assume security roles.
Egypt first unveiled its proposal for Gaza’s security and future in March, and Abdelatty has mentioned operationalizing it since then. His statement on Wednesday indicated that the country has continued to put the plan into action, despite the war still raging and enduring disputes over who will govern Gaza once it ends.
“Egypt is training hundreds of Palestinians to take on security responsibilities in Gaza,” he said in the interview.

❗️UN prepares aid for southern Syria's Suwayda
The UN is preparing to dispatch a humanitarian aid convoy to Syria’s southern Suwayda province. The move comes after Syria’s foreign ministry granted UN agencies direct access to Suwayda, building on three previous aid deliveries to the province carried out by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
The upcoming UN convoy will carry food and other essential supplies, said Marianne Ward, head of the UN's World Food Programme in Syria.
"We're organizing a convoy with a variety of different UN agencies' support, which we expect will be the beginning of blanket access" to vulnerable communities, Ward said.
