- Rites of Passage -

I went out scouting the place for this year's Camp Kvasir and came across this raven feather at a beautiful place. I took this as a sign that this place has been blessed and is the perfect place for our  annual Ulfling Camp.

The ulflings are the young among our group that are still learning about the traditions and way of our folk.

The goal of this program is to teach our faith to our children, transmit primitive survival skills, and influence the next generation of our folk into becoming spiritual leaders among us.

We work hard each year to imbue a living tradition with rites of passage for our youth that they themselves can connect with and find confidence in to establish a clear path forward for our people that will thrive in the coming years and many generations of our folk to come.

"Loki went to those dwarves who are called Ívaldi's Sons; and they made the hair, and Skídbladnir also, and the spear which became Odin's possession, and was called Gungnir. ...

Now when he and Loki brought forward the precious gifts, the Æsir sat down in the seats of judgment; and that verdict was to prevail which Odin, Thor, and Freyr should render. Then Loki gave Odin the spear Gungnir, and to Thor the hair which Sif was to have, and Skídbladnir to Freyr, and told the virtues of all these things: that the spear would never stop in its thrust; ...

Then Odin drew out the ring, and covered the hair, saying that they were now delivered from their debt for the slaying of the otter. But when Odin had taken his spear, and Loki his shoes, and they had no longer any need to be afraid, then Loki declared that the curse which Andvari had uttered should be fulfilled:"

Pagan Revivalism

A lot of folk aren't ready for the axial-age rabbit-hole. It challenges the assumptions made about history, and reveals the precise origin for the ideas which have lead to: post-humanism, the multicult, globalism, communism, enlightenment, islam, neoplatonism, judeo-christianity, judaism, platonism, buddhism, the hindu synthesis and uppanishads and so on.

All of this is the consequence of a single man angry about the toil of a post 'bronze-age collapse' world. The threats we faced in the past as well as those today are a culmination of zoroaster's ideas, and those influenced by him. Therefore it is a folly for Pagan Revival to adopt any of these ideals, for it is said, "those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Therefore, if we want Pagan Revival to survive and thrive, like it did in antiquity, it is imperative to shed anything related to the axial-age. The ideas which created and paved the way for abrahamism to destroy our folk and civilization.

Metaphysics made easy 🧵 part 2

No matter how high or how low we look, from the scale of galaxies, to the most elementary fields and particles, there seems to be one answer to this simple question. Which of these metaphysical principles describes reality accurately?

We do not see, funneling up or down, towards a specific number. What we do see is many kinds of things on all levels of existence.

Now the second question, which relates to this channel. What was the position of ancient Paganism in this regard? The answer to this question requires a little bit of background, and is contentious.

Before the axial-age, every civilization we are aware of was polytheistic. Despite claims by revisionists of the platonic, buddhist or pie perennialism variety, before a specific date there were no such concepts apart from one exception. This was Atenism. This particular belief system we don't know much about, but it is speculated to be monotheistic or monistic in its expression. This was made by one pharaoh, Akhenaten, and his works were destroyed by his successors and deemed heretical to ancestral faith.

In Germanic faith, there is more than one group of entities: men, dwarves, elves, trolls, jotnar, etc. We even have two distinct pantheons mentioned, the Æsir and Vanir. Some have tried to claim it is dualistic due to the opening stanzas of Voluspa. However there are three distinct things in the very beginning, the realm of fire, the realm of ice and the void inbetween and in which they reside.

Some will claim Hellenism is monistic due to the primordial chaos. Though it isn't described in much detail, there is no indication it is a single thing, for different parts of it were separated into primordials, such as, Uranus and Gaia etc.

Several cultures which had writing commented on the Gods of other peoples as distinct entities in their own right. A great example of this is found in middle-kingdom Egypt, who described a group of people later known as jews: "the shasu (raiders) who worship the god named yahu." Several other texts before the axial age describe Gods of one land conspiring to attack Gods of another and so on.

This all changed with zoroaster, who said, "ackkkshually ... there's only a good god ahura mazda, and an evil god named angra mainyu, introducing for the first time dualism. Through some means, they were able to seize control of the throne of persia after Cyrus' death. They were known to send their agents, the magi into surrounding lands and were known to spawn and fund philosophies which drove cultures away from pluralism, india to the southeast, Greece on its Northwestern frontier. Their rationale should be easy to understand, Persia wanted to rule the world, and what better way to weaken an enemy for conquest, then to promote internal strife within the enemy. Once conquered, the Persians would be seen as a bringer of peace, thus making their rule preferable to "chaotic" self-governance. Persia was destroyed by the divine Alexander, but the damage had already been done, culminating in weirdo philosophies which paved the way for abrahamism.

Because we can put a specific: time, date, name, and location to the origin of these ideas, it is indicative they are man made creations. We know these ideas were used as psychological warfare to enable internal strife to make conquest easier, not for "seeking the truth" even if those who held these positions said so. As we rebuild and revive, it is important to remember where these ideas came from. The most ancient of faiths, those held by our ancestors, had a specific metaphysic, and just so happens to be the metaphysic which aligns with the reality we live in and see around us, pluralism.

Some may not agree with the conclusions presented, but these are ideas which are well known and talked about by many others including Imperium Press, APTA and many others. Below we will have a poll where you can choose which principle you follow.

Either way, this is an ongoing debate, and hopefully, will give rise to much needed discussion and dialogue.

Gods love you!

Germanic hieroglyphs?? 👀

Many folk know of the runes, the magical writing system of the north. Academic types will claim that the Germanic "stole" this writing system from their enemies the Romans, making Voluspa invalid. But is that really the truth?

These are the glyphs from the 'Golden Horns of Gallehus' one of which has a classic runic inscription on the rim, whilst the other does not, but both contain strange pictograms that don't make sense at first glance.

On this channel we have talked several times about how written language starts as pictorials (hieroglyphs) and becomes more abstract over time. The greek language is a great example of this, Linear A hieroglyphs simplify into Linear B abstract glyphs (heiratic if you will) which abstract further into an alphabetic script.

Is it possible that these horns preserve the prior form of the runes, germanic hieroglyphs if you will? If that is indeed the case it would disprove the atheist roman letter hypothesis and reveal new discoveries into the runes.

It may seem strange, but the two characters 𐀟𐁊 is the old Linear B name for Apollo 👀

Many folk don't know that before the Ancient Greek Alphabet we know today, Linear B was the writing system of Bronze Age Greece, known as the Mycenaean civilization.

In all fairness, letters do make it easier for the commoner to become literate, but one can't deny the mystery and elegance of this ancient script.

The difference between Platonists and folkish pagans becomes very clear when you look at what their objections to Christianity are.

The Platonist objection to Christianity is that it subordinates reason to revelation and eternal truths to historical events. True religion should center on timeless metaphysical realities, like the eternal forms or "The Good", rather than on historical contingencies such as the incarnation or the resurrection. Christianity is too particular and not universal enough.

The folkish objection to Christianity is that it is a universalist and anti-tribal faith that undermines ethnic, cultural, and ancestral identity. It breaks with native traditions and replaces them with foreign ones. It is deracinating, globalizing, and spiritually homogenizing. It undermines rootedness, blood ties, and local customs. Christianity is too universal and not particular enough.

Platonism accepts Christianity's framing completely. Platonism sees how Christianity challenged and undermined ethnic religion and says that it didn't go far enough.

Platonism is the enemy of ethnic faiths and it is a mystery how it continues to have any association with paganism at all.

"I wot that I hung from the wind-tossed tree for nights all nine. Wounded by spear. Bespoken to Odin bespoken myself to myself. Upon that tree from which none telleth what roots it doth rise, neither horn they upheld. Nor handed me bread. Looked below me, aloud I cried, caught up the runes. Caught them up wailing. Thence to the ground fell again."

Pagan Revivalism

A lot of problems we face in communicating about Paganism to others who may share our views involve 2 categories:
The 1st is prior bias, which we have discussed before.
The 2nd is getting our definitions right.

In past posts, we went over the terms for eclecticism, syncretism & perennialism. Today we will go over metaphysical terms made easy.

Nihilism can be broken down into all is nothing.

Non-dual Unity as described by the platonist "romanist society," states there is "the one" and a vast nothingness and we are inbetween and a bit of both. Ergo Ø.5ist I guess.

Monism, all is one, distinctions are but illusions, there is only one substance, etc.

Non-dualism essentially means all that exists is not 2 things. Theoretically this could mean one or many, right? However most non-dualists really want to be monists without calling themselves monists, ergo 1.5ist. One with a little extra.

Dualism which is all is 2. Usually contrasted with extremes like light & dark male & female etc.

Pluralism, all is many.

The Golden Horns of Gallehus

The music you hear is played on reproductions of the Gallehus Horns. An integral part of Pagan Revivalism is living and thinking as our forefathers and foremothers did, but what about hearing what they did?

These reproductions of ancestral instruments, whether thry be the Celtic Carnyx, the Roman Cornu, The Germanic Lur or any other instrument, gives us a window into the lives of the ancients. This will aid in Revivalism more than we know!

This is a modern recreation of a Roman Lararium, which would be akin to a home temple / altar where the family would gather to worship at home.

They were normally placed in the atrium or hearth. Some would be built into the structure of the home, whilst others would be a kind of cabinet like this!

Something to keep in mind for adding a home worship space.

Shout out to Arcane Accents who, in the interview with The Witch Mother eluded to wanting to possibly make something similar in the future! 👀👀
