BURN BABY BURN - Susan Tedeschi perfroms “Just Won’t Burn” live at Farm Aid (1999). Susan Tedeschi stands as a testament to why blues continues to captivate audiences. A modern icon, she’s among the most influential blues artists of our time. Inspired by legends like Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin, and Buddy Guy, her blend of folk-infused songwriting and blues mastery is uniquely compelling.
After forming her first band in the early ’90s, Tedeschi’s 1998 album Just Won’t Burn went Gold, a rare feat for blues records, earning her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. She went on to tour with legends like BB King, Buddy Guy, and Bob Dylan, and gained further recognition supporting The Rolling Stones.
In the last decade, Tedeschi has reached new heights with the Tedeschi Trucks Band, formed with her husband Derek Trucks in 2010 after years of collaboration. Together, they’ve cemented their place as modern blues royalty.
