Yesterday, the internal D.C. Amnesty push got smoked out. Already, everybody is saying that amnesty is dead, a total nonstarter, won't happen.
That's good. But the fight is far from over.
In the coming days and weeks you are going to hear countless retreads of the same arguments they used to push amnesty under Bush and Obama, and the same arguments they used on Reagan in 1986 to get the catastrophic Simpson-Mazzoli amnesty bill.
They will say...
"Crops are rotting in the fields!"
"Americans won't work those jobs."
"Businesses will go under."
"We can make exceptions only for the ones who haven't committed a crime after arriving."
"Let's make a carve out for the ones who have been here a long time, while leaving out recent arrivals."
These aren't real arguments. They are attempts to manipulate you by playing on your emotions or by creating a fake crisis to demand rash, ill-considered action. They are attempts to back-door an amnesty by claiming it is "limited," or "necessary," or "not really an amnesty."
Don't fall for it!

A federal judge in Massachusetts has temporarily blocked a provision in President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), the new tax and spending law signed July 4, 2025, that would cut Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood. The measure aims to prevent taxpayer dollars from supporting abortion providers, but Planned Parenthood argues it’s an unconstitutional attack on their legal operations, including non-abortion services like cancer screenings and contraception.
Judge Indira Talwani’s injunction, issued July 7, 2025, stops the ban, which targets clinics providing abortions, pending a July 21 hearing. Planned Parenthood warns the cut could close 200 of its 600 clinics, after 34 shuttered last year due to financial pressures.

Passengers at some airports across the U.S. no longer have to remove their shoes during regular preflight security checks, two sources familiar with the change confirmed to CBS News on Monday.
The change appears to be a phased approach, sources said, and the first airports where the no-shoes requirement is expiring include Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Fort Lauderdale International Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Portland International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport and Piedmont Triad International Airport in North Carolina.
However, CBS News correspondents at Los Angeles International Airport and New York City's LaGuardia Airport reported Monday night that they and other passengers didn't have to take off their shoes.

I do not support weapons for Ukraine.
But I do support public trials for the CIA officials and the Ukraine officials who staged the 2014 coup.
I also do not support constant NATO violations of their agreements with Russia, so the military industrial complex can make steady money via endless conflict.
If something new has changed, I will listen to what Trump has to say, but will probably not change my mind on Ukraine.
Following Epsteins whitewash, POTUS immediately congratulates Kash & Bongino for a stellar job of locking up criminals.
My take:
Prosecuting Epstein's accomplices would alienate US Allies and risk war. Trump isn't willing to burn political capital on that. I take this post as a confirmation that Kash & Bongino have not gone rogue. They are doing what Trump needs them to do.
It doesn't excuse the way the issue was handled, especially by Bondi, and I don't like the fact that these criminals are walking free, but more is at stake than we realize.
Time to move on.
