BREAKING: The Trump Department of Justice has just filed a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles, arguing its sanctuary policies violate the Supremacy Clause by intentionally discriminating against the federal gov by treating federal immigration officers differently than other law enforcement. DOJ is asking that LA’s sanctuary policies be enjoined/blocked from being enforced.
Attorney General Pam Bondi statement to FoxNews:
"Sanctuary policies were the driving cause of the violence, chaos, and attacks on law enforcement that Americans recently witnessed in Los Angeles. Jurisdictions like Los Angeles that flout federal law by prioritizing illegal aliens over American citizens are undermining law enforcement at every level – it ends under President Trump.”
Excerpt from lawsuit:
"Sanctuary City laws and policies are designed to deliberately impede federal immigration officers’ ability to carry out their responsibilities in those jurisdictions. The Los Angeles Ordinance and other policies intentionally discriminate against the Federal Government by treating federal immigration authorities differently than other law enforcement agents through access restrictions both to property and to individual detainees, by prohibiting contractors and sub-contractors from providing information, and by disfavoring federal criminal laws that the City of Los Angeles has decided not to comply with. The Supremacy Clause prohibits the City of Los Angeles and its officials from singling out the Federal Government for adverse treatment—as the challenged law and policies do—thereby discriminating against the Federal Government. Accordingly, the law and policies challenged here are invalid and should be enjoined."

WATCH😒: CNN is pushing a new app called "ICEBlock" which is designed to "let users alert people nearby to sightings of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in their area."
Joshua Aaron, who has worked in and around the tech industry for around two decades, launched the platform in early April after watching President Donald Trump’s administration begin its immigration crackdown.
ICEBlock currently has more than 20,000 users, many of whom are in Los Angeles, where controversial, large-scale deportation efforts have taken place.
“When I saw what was happening in this country, I wanted to do something to fight back,” Aaron told CNN, adding that the deportation efforts feel, to him, reminiscent of Nazi Germany. “We’re literally watching history repeat itself.”
ICEBlock is designed to be an “early warning system” for users when ICE is operating nearby, Aaron said. Users can add a pin on a map showing where they spotted agents — along with optional notes, like what officers were wearing or what kind of car they were driving. Other users within a five-mile radius will then receive a push alert notifying them of the sighting.
Aaron said he hopes those notifications will help people avoid interactions with ICE, noting that he does not want users to interfere with the agency’s operations. The app provides a similar warning when users log a sighting: “Please note that the use of this app is for information and notification purposes only. It is not to be used for the purposes of inciting violence or interfering with law enforcement.”

YUGE💥: The Justice Department’s 2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown charged 324 people, including 96 doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, for scams costing $14.6 billion across 50 federal districts and 12 states. This record-breaking operation, involving the FBI, DEA, and other agencies, shows a strong push to protect taxpayers from fraud in Medicare and Medicaid.
Authorities seized $245 million in cash, luxury cars, and other assets. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) blocked $4 billion in fraudulent payments and suspended 205 providers. Civil cases recovered $48.5 million.
“This takedown brings justice to criminals who exploit vulnerable people and steal taxpayer money,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stressed stopping fraud to keep healthcare affordable.

MORNING UPDATES ON IDAHO FIREFIGHTERS:
• Two firefighters killed, one hospitalized in stable condition after shooting on Canfield Mountain, ID. Sheriff Bob Norris calls it a “total ambush.”
• Deceased firefighters were from Coeur D’Alene Fire Dept and Kootenai County Fire & Rescue. Names not yet released.
• Suspected shooter found dead on Canfield Mountain with a firearm nearby, believed to have ACTED ALONE. No ongoing threat to the community.
• Cellphone signal and federal tech helped locate the suspected shooter’s body, found by SWAT team.
• Shelter-in-place order lifted, but 20-acre wildfire, intentionally set, remains active. Residents urged to stay prepared.
• About 300 law enforcement officers, including local, state, and federal, responded. Helicopters with snipers were deployed.
• Firefighters were responding to an intentionally set brush fire when ambushed, per Northern Lakes Fire District.
