🇺🇸 - Jerome Powell is reportedly considering resigning his Chairmanship at the Federal Reserve.
This directly follows a letter sent by the White House yesterday which accused him of exorbitantly using funds for the Fed building’s renovation for luxury developments, and subsequently breaking the law by misreporting the facts of that renovation to Congress.
It also comes after months of criticism by President Trump against Powell’s reluctance to lower rates while inflation subsides.

This action forms part of a broader effort to remove personnel involved in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s prosecutions against Trump for the riot and unlawful document possession.
These latest terminations push the total Smith-related dismissals to around 35, with possibly 15 more under review. Reuters initially reported nine firings, but sources confirm the figure at 20, potentially rising to 37 across offices in Washington, Virginia, Florida, and elsewhere. The group included attorneys, support staff, and U.S. Marshals, some of whom volunteered for the Trump probes. Before Bondi assumed office, 14 others had already been let go.

BREAKING: A preliminary report into the Air India crash last month, which left at least 270 people dead, indicates that fuel to the plane's engines was shut off just seconds after the plane lifted off.
According to the report, shortly after takeoff, the plane’s fuel cutoff switches for both engines went from the "RUN" position to the "CUTOFF" position, one after another within one second -- shutting off fuel to both engines.
In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he hit the cutoff switch. "The other pilot responded that he did not do so," the report stated.
About 10 seconds later, the fuel flow was restored to the engines and the automatic restart sequence was initiated, but there was not enough time to prevent the plane from crashing.
Just over 20 seconds after the "CUTOFF" switch was hit, one of the pilots transmitted "MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY,” the report stated.
