As someone who has spent plenty of time working in a SCIF, burnbags are routinely removed on something like a weekly basis and destroyed with a rigorous audit trail documenting handling and destruction
The Durham report was released over two years ago, so it's hard to believe that those burnbags were never destroyed before now...

π€―A maniac set a city councilman on fire after breaking into his workplace in a sickening attack in Virginia on Wednesday.
The attacker allegedly poured a five-gallon bucket of gas over Lee Vogler, a Danville city councilman, after forcing his way into his workplace at Showcase Magazine, according to WBTM.
Vogler then ran to the front of the building and tried to escape, but the monster followed him and set him on fire, the outlet reported.
The pol is currently being airlifted to a hospital in North Carolina.
The suspect has been named as 29-year-old Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes of Danville, WBTM reported.
He is currently in police custody and is believed to have known Vogler before the attack, according to reports.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday invoked the so-called "Rule of Five" to demand the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein in a letter to the Department of Justice.
"Federal law requires government agencies to provide information if any five members of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee request it.
And weβre using it to force Trump and Bondi to release the Epstein files to us," Schumer announced via Social Media.
Section 2964 explicitly requires executive agencies to provide information to the Senate if any five members of the committee request it under that authority.

NEW: Apparently, FBI director Kash Patel is in New Zealand and has made a visit to the Beehive.
Patel, a former adviser to United States President Donald Trump, was seen by the Herald in the basement this afternoon.
Itβs understood Patel has left the Parliament precinct. His visit to the seventh floor of the Beehive suggests he visited Foreign Minister Winston Peters.
The Herald has approached Peters and Defense Minister Judith Collins. The Government has not confirmed his visit.
A spokesperson for the US Embassy said, βwe have many official visits to New Zealand, and we comment on these at the appropriate moment and when we are in a position to do so.β
Finance Minister Nicola Willis, speaking to Newstalk ZB, confirmed Patel had visited but said she didnβt know why.
She claimed the only reason she knew of his presence was a βbunch of handsome men in suitsβ on the seventh floor of the Beehive, where she and Peters have offices.
Willis refrained from saying anything more, admitting she had probably been βoverly openβ.
According to flight records, Patel travelled from Honolulu in Hawaii, then to Sydney, before touching down in Wellington.

The existence of a "secret SCIF" is consistent with the agreement made by Brennan and Comey that intelligence gathered by the "Fusion Team" and sent to the CH (Crossfire Hurricane) team would be "closely held" with limited distribution.
A team of analysts, headed by Supervisory Analyst Brian Auten, worked to support the Case Agents handling the four parts of CH.
Given the restrictions, my guess is the SCIF that has been discovered was where that group of analysts worked rather than their normal work stations which would have been among other analysts not working on CH.
When the Mueller SCO took over, IIRC, all the personnel working on CH were moved to an off-site office complex leased by the Mueller SCO.
BUT -- and this is a big BUT -- the room was used more recently for something because the Durham Classified Annex wasn't created until long after Mueller ended.
Remember that the documents in the Annex are the "intelligence product" of the CIA -- not the FBI. So standard protocol would be for the FBI to burn hard copies when done with them.
