Bucket Theory
Clean living is hard work. Once we begin detoxifying our lives, we realize we have an uphill battle ahead of us. Itβs very easy to get overwhelmed when we see that poisons are everywhere, and that even our food, air, and water are toxic. Itβs enough to make you want to give up.
Thatβs where Bucket Theory has been a game changer for me.
The idea is this: Think of your body as a bucket thatβs filling up with water. The water represents toxins building up in your body. Your body was built to handle toxins, but thereβs a limit to how much. Think of the water spilling over when that limit is reached. That tipping point is where we start seeing inflammation, illness, and disease. Thereβs also small spigot at the bottom of the bucket working hard to drain the water, thatβs your bodyβs natural detox system. The human body was made to eliminate whatβs harmful. Unfortunately the world is so full of poison now, it has a harder time keeping up.
So your job is not to eliminate toxins completely (which is good, because that would be impossible). You just need to slow down the rate at which the toxins are entering your body so your spigot has the chance to do its job.
Even small changes can make a huge difference. Remember, the goal is just to stay under the spill over point. You donβt have to change everything in your life to do that. Sometimes swapping out a few products can do the trick! Especially if theyβre things you use every day that can really add up. Filter your water. Choose cleaner food when you can. Change your laundry detergent to something clean and free from harsh chemicals. Every drop you keep out of the bucket is one less drop pushing you to overflow.
Donβt worry about getting everything perfect, remember stress itself is toxic to your body. Cortisol and adrenaline are just more water in the bucket, so obsessing over every detail only works against you. This is why my favorite saying on The Clean Living Project is βDo what you can, where you can.β Living cleaner is totally possible when you let small changes add up. π©·

π₯ Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered an end to D.C. sanctuary policies, a spokesperson for her office said Thursday.
The announcement comes amid a Trump administration crackdown of D.C. that's seen the president deploy hundreds of national guard troops and federal law enforcement and Bondi take control of the city's police force.
The announcement was made in a wider directive Bondi issued that saw Drug Enforcement Administrator Terry Cole appointed "emergency police commissioner," enabling him to have the powers of the police chief.
Bondi also rescinded an October 2023 general order for MPD that Gilmartin said prevented arrests solely for federal immigration warrants.
The attorney general also directed the MPD to "FULLY ENFORCE" a sectionof the D.C. Code that "makes it unlawful to crowd or obstruct streets, public or private building entrances, passage through parks, and engage in or continue demonstrations where it is unlawful or after being told to cease engaging," according to Gilmartin.

President Trump has signed an executive order to fill the Strategic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Reserve with critical drugs to ensure "a resilient domestic supply chain for essential medicines."
The executive order signed on Tuesday directs the Department of Health and Human Services assistant secretary for Preparedness and Response to create a list of about 26 critical drugs that are deemed "vital to national health and security, and ready the SAPIR repository to receive and maintain the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) used to make these critical drugs," according to a White House fact sheet.
Also, the order charges the official with getting a 6-month supply of the APIs for the critical drugs, "with a preference for obtaining domestically-manufactured APIs if possible, and placing them in the SAPIR."
