Charlie was an American hero whose love for God, country, and family guided every step of his life. He was a faithful servant who poured himself into the fight for justice and freedom.
He challenged his generation with conviction, intellect, and dialogue. He believed deeply in the power of ideas and in the responsibility each of us has to defend the truth.

This isnβt my strong suit and I donβt even know how to begin to put into words the loss I am feeling right now over the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Charlie wasnβt just a friend β he was like a little brother to me - and to millions of people around the world - he was a true inspiration.
He was one of the most courageous, principled men Iβve ever known, and he lived every day with purpose. His faith in God was unshakable, his love for Erika was inspiring, and the way he adored and cared for his two beautiful kids showed the kind of man he truly was.
Charlie dedicated his life to something bigger than himself. He fought tirelessly for this country, for the values that make America great, and for the next generation. The impact he had on young people β reaching them in masses, giving them courage to stand up, to think for themselves, and to fight for freedom β is immeasurable. There is no question that Charlieβs work and his voice helped my father win the presidency. He changed the direction of this nation.
Charlie was never a threat to anyone. He was civil, he was kind, he listened and responded with respect. The only βthreatβ he ever posed was that he was incredibly effective. He was a powerful messenger of truth, and people heard that truth. Thatβs what made him a target.
This loss is absolutely devastating β not only for Erika and the kids, but for our country. Weβve lost a leader, a fighter, and a man whose character and conviction were rare. Too rare. To think that his life was cut short by a brutal, heinous, evil act is beyond comprehension. It is horrible and it is heartbreaking.
Moments like this remind us just how fragile life is. We canβt wait to tell people how much they mean to us β we canβt admire them in silence. Charlie knew he was loved, but I want to say it again: he was a brother to me, and I will carry that with me forever.
I know Charlieβs legacy doesnβt end here. He poured into millions of young people who will carry forward the torch he lit. He built something that will outlast him, because it was grounded in faith, in truth, and in courage. And as his friend, I will never forget him. Iβll honor him by loving boldly, speaking truth without fear, and continuing his spirit of courage. His fight lives on in all of us who loved him.
This is an unimaginable loss. For me, for his family, for everyone who loved him, and for America. Rest in peace, brother. You will be missed more than words can ever say β but your legacy will never be forgotten and we will keep fighting the good fight.

"That's the thing about hate, it hates."
"It hates? What is that?"
"Hate is violent. It's the undoing, the rending, the tearing apart."
I shook my head in unbelief. "But why?"
She was patient, tilting her head slightly to the side and measuring her words. "Because here, in this world, it's needed."
I was appalled. "Hate! Needed!?! No. That can't be. Only love is needed."
Her eyes were soft but her countenance was fallen. "Life, here, is balance. If you love, you must also hate. Hate the enemy of love. Hate all that impedes the work of love. Render the work of evil undone, torn away from the fabric of who you are!" Her tone softened. "Hate has a place, but it must be measured in love."
I began to cry. "I suppose, if God Himself hates, then there must be good cause to, but it's so hard to understand."
She grabbed my arm gently. "Be motivated by love and don't focus on the hate, but that sick feeling you get in your gut when injustice and evil boasts in their deeds, that sick feeling is hate. And rightly, its place is deep in the bowels, the place where hell resides. Don't lift it up. Feel it, but arise in love and do from love. Hate has its place, but for the refined its nothing more than the other edge of love."
My heart fell within my chest, down into my stomach and all hurt within me. "It's so hard to understand. It seems so meaningless and cruel." I sniffled.
"Hating injustice, hating evil, hating unrighteous oppressionβhas its rightful place. But its love that teaches you how."
That got to me. Its not by the vulgarity or loudness of my words, not even by the seemingly righteous determination for justice, but for me to move from the seat of love.
I don't see the perpetrator, I see the family. I don't see those demanding justice, I see the hurt of a child crying in the corner. And I find myself moving to the family, to the child, not into the noise of all else.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk was a professional hit job. 200 yards away (2 football fields). One shot. Clear target. Anyone else would have fired multiple rounds and targeted more people. Then they initially arrested a patsy who was too close to be the shooter.

Charlie went immediately into Glory with our precious Lord Jesus Christ, HIS Savior and first love, is my only consolation. We grieve here. But his joy is just beginning. It is so, so hard to say this. But i have to remind the grieving: we are crushed together, as a family, as a Body of Christ. We weep. But Charlie, is in eternal bliss with Christ.
The other day, a stanza in this old hymn grabbed me, that never had before, in relation to my mother. Hit me like a ton of bricks. Now it hits me again, in relation to Charlie:
And then one day, I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!
Bolded that last part: "and I'll know He lives."
Because Salvation is a faith walk. Till we get there. Then, we KNOW, that OUR SAVIOR LIVES. π₯Ήβ€οΈβπ₯ Charlie knows now.
