Rep. James Comer, chair of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said Friday his panel had begun receiving materials from the Treasury Department as part of its investigation into the agencyβs handling of the case against Jeffrey Epstein.
Some suspicious activity reports, which have been redacted, are already in the panelβs possession, the Kentucky Republican told reporters just before congressional investigators began their interview with Alex Acosta. Acosta, Trumpβs former Secretary of Labor, brokered the controversial plea deal during his tenure as U.S. attorney in southern Florida that many believe allowed Epstein to continue to prey on women for years.
Comer added that the panel had plans to see unredacted materials on site at Treasury.

A Cirrus SR22T crashed in a field in Franklin, North Carolina, around 3 p.m. local time on Thursday, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Three people were on board the plane when it crashed, officials confirmed. Nobody who was on board survived.
The Macon County Sheriff's Office told ABC Newsβ Asheville affiliate station WLOS that the crash happened on a property adjacent to the Iotla Valley Elementary School, but that students and staff at the school have all been reported safe.

I am absolutely heartbroken.
In life, sometimes we come across people for a very brief period of our lives that have an absolutely massive impact on us and our lives.
Boone Cutler was one of those people for me.
He was always so very kind to myself and @AbsWifey1776 - and he was always extremely supportive of our efforts in this movement.
His loss will leave an indelible mark on this movement. Boone cannot be replaced. He was one of a kind. A true gift from our Creator, and we are all better for having walked with him in this life.
We will pick up the torch, and carry on. But it wonβt be the same.
I know in my heart of hearts that Boone is walking with Jesus.
And I also know that his impact and his contributions will long outlive any of us.
Boone was a man of God. A patriot. A warrior, and a lighthouse to all who came across him.
