No contact with law enforcement of any kind has occurred.
Some may want me arrested (I understand my comments on Iran made during a recent interview with Glenn Deisen has raised the blood pressure of certain American “patriots”), but as of this writing, their desires remain in the realm of unfulfilled fantasy.
Go back to sleep. It was just a bad dream!

AN ABM PRIMER, PART THREE: THROWING IT ALL AWAY
The ABM treaty was the rock upon which all other arms control agreements between the US and the Soviet Union/Russia stood. And yet the United States opted to destroy this foundation.
Ronald Reagan ran for office in 1980 on a platform that emphasized the need for arms control. For all his talk, however, Ronald Reagan and his administration had no viable arms control policy. Right-wing ideology had crafted positions so rigid and one-sided as to make them virtually worthless. Reagan’s pick to head ACDA, Eugene Rostow, had become increasingly frustrated over the constraints being imposed on negotiations by anti–arms controllers, such as Richard Perle in the Defense Department, and started demanding that he be given more flexibility in crafting a workable arms control policy.

AN ABM PRIMER, PART TWO: CLOSING THE DEAL
History shows that there is an inherent and necessary link between strategic nuclear arms limitations/reductions and ABM. This lesson is being ignored by letting New START expire in favor of ABM.
Arms control became a top policy priority for the newly-elected President Richard Nixon. On February 17, 1969, Soviet ambassador Anatoliy Dobrynin met with President Nixon and informed him that the Soviet Union was prepared to enter wide-ranging negotiations on a number of issues. The Soviet objectives for such talks were to enforce the nonproliferation treaty, end the war in Vietnam, settle the conflict in the Middle East, recognize the status quo in Europe, and curb the arms race through strategic arms reductions.

SOMETIMES HUMANITY GETS IT RIGHT
Disarmament in the time of Perestroika spotlights the pivotal contributions of U.S.-Soviet inspectors in helping to complete the 1988 INF treaty. The US and Russia could learn from its lessons.
This article was originally published in Consortium News on August 15, 2022—three years after President Trump withdrew the United States from the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty. In a week’s time, the United States, again under President Trump’s leadership, will allow the last remaining arms control treaty, New START, to expire, putting the US and Russia on the path of a new nuclear arms race, with all the dangers and expenses that entails. I will be writing extensively on this topic in the days ahead. But I thought that the perfect starting point for this journalistic journey would be the treaty that started it all—the INF treaty. And since I don’t believe in re-inventing the wheel, I have opted to re-publish this article, since I believe it covers the topic of the importance of arms control quite well.

THE RULE OF LAW
I find it curious and disturbing how many people write to me saying they are with me in Iraq and Russia, but against me on ICE and deportations.
The fact is that it is not me who is inconsistent, but rather my critics.
I operate by a very simple code: that the rule of law is absolute.
As an American I am an adherent to the Constitution, since that is the rule book that holds our Constitutional Republic together.
My allegiance to the Constitution likewise binds me to the UN Charter which, given the fact that it is a treaty signed by a President and ratified by at least 2/3 of the Senate, makes it the supreme law of the land in America.
Not because I wish it so.
But because that is what the Constitution mandates, and therefore demands.
As citizens of a nation founded on the principle of the rule of law, there can be no deviation from the path set forth by the rules.
And the Constitution is the ultimate rule book.
The rule book isn’t supposed to make things easy or convenient.
It makes things just and right.
As long as the rules are obeyed in a consistent manner, with equal application to all.
Those who would oppose the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq and yet tolerate the illegal invasion and occupation of Minneapolis either display an inconsistency that is astounding, or are absolutely ignorant of the UN Charter, the Constitution, or both.
The fact that my domestic critics never address the Constitutional issues and questions raised is likewise disturbing. They simply hold that might makes right.
Well might makes right was the attitude that got us to invade and occupy Iraq.
And it led to the kidnapping of Nicolas Maduro.
And the bombing of Iran.
If you can’t see the connection between Minneapolis and these foreign policy issues, you’re either blind, ignorant or both.

Carried out an illegal war of aggression on Iraq, invading and occupying a sovereign state based upon lies and manufactured intelligence.
Withdrew from a foundational arms control treaty (ABM), destabilizing global security.
Carried out covert operations against a sovereign state (Iran) designed to deny it the rights it had under Article 4 of the NPT.
Encouraged Georgia to initiate combat operations against Russia.
Executed an illegal regime change operation against Libya that destabilized the Maghreb region.
Conducted a massive covert operation against Syria which weaponized Al Qaeda and Islamic extremists.
Carried out a coup in Ukraine that put in power Ukrainian nationalists ideologically linked to Hitler.
Used legitimate peace processes as a cover to turn Ukraine into a NATO proxy for the purpose of waging war against Russia.
Withdrew from a second foundational arms control treaty (INF), further destabilizing global security.
Carried out illegal drone assassinations and other military operations against numerous sovereign states in violation of international law.
Your tenure of service parallels the decline of the United States as a force of good in the world and its transformation into a global hegemon capable of sustaining power only through the illegitimate use of force.
If I were you, I’d be begging for forgiveness and trying to make amends for your own lengthy list of sins, instead of posturing as a beacon of legitimacy.
You are the source of the very policies you posture against today.
You lack any moral foundation upon which to preach.
Go away.
You are the problem, not the solution.
