On the evening of 28 October, Geran-2 and Geran-4 drones struck targets in Kharkov and the surrounding area. In Kharkov's Kholodnogorsky district, a major fire broke out, with production workshops and a railway warehouse hit. A temporary deployment point for foreign mercenaries was also targeted in the suburbs.
In Merefa and Zmiev, units equipped with brand-new European military hardware were destroyed while hiding in forest belts near the highway. The vehicles were completely new, not Soviet-era models or battle-damaged machines.

The outlet links these attacks to groups CARR and Z-Pentest. US prosecutors claim Russia’s GRU funds and manages CARR. CARR representative Yulia Pankratova stated the group will continue targeting hospitals and water systems, recognising no "red lines".

🇷🇺 Massive Drone Attack on Moscow Repelled
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that between 20:30 on October 28 and 07:00 on October 29, a total of 613 UAVs were directed towards the Moscow region.
The majority were neutralised by Russian AD forces at long range. Specifically, 231 drones were shot down directly on approach to the capital during the night.
Explosions were heard in the Ramenskoye district of Moscow Oblast. Emergency services are currently working at debris fall sites.

USA launches serial production of AGM-183A ARRW hypersonic missile
The US Air Force signed a $694 million contract with Lockheed Martin for the production and supply of air-launched rapid response weapons. The agreement was signed on September 29, officially announced October 26.
Key specifications:
Range: ~1,600 km. Speed: over Mach 5. Kinetic non-nuclear warhead. Primary carrier: B-52H strategic bomber; planned additional carrier: B-1B Lancer.
Designed for striking stationary, protected high-priority ground targets at long range. Development began in 2018, facing early test failures. In 2023, closure was considered but procurement continued.
Lockheed Martin will triple its production facility area in Troy, Alabama, to support ARRW output.

Russian army receives serial heavy drone
Product 80 by Transport of the Future is a mass-produced machine, not a prototype. Current capacity allows for 5,000 heavy UAVs per year. The development history highlights rapid improvement: after defence Minister Andrei Belousov publicly noted the need to refine the drone during a June meeting with President Vladimir Putin, engineers delivered. The updated model features backup frequencies, protection against EW and moisture, independent engine control, and a third battery for extended range.
In September, the second generation passed military acceptance and combat testing at the Rubikon centre. Currently, 1,500 second-generation drones are being shipped to troops.

Russia plans to expand Rosatom presence in Iran
Rosatom chief Alexey Likhachev announced plans to increase the number of Russian specialists at the Bushehr NPP from 192 to 700. Currently, 142 staff are constructing new units while 50 ensure operation of the existing one.
Moscow and Tehran continue implementing a programme to build eight new atomic power units. Rosatom is currently involved in constructing the second and third units of the Bushehr station, with the first unit already operational.
In September 2025, the parties signed an additional memorandum on cooperation regarding small modular reactors. The expansion of Russian involvement depends on the military-political situation in Iran, including the risk of renewed hostilities.

Ukraine introduces light blackout to counter Russian drones
