Despite the constant propaganda of the European media and the mantras of their politicians that the US is not leaving its logistics hubs in Europe, through which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are supplied, the US is leaving and stopping supplying.

Moreover, Western military experts write that the Pentagon has not been so active in optimizing the US Army for a long time. In reality, the US is gathering troops scattered throughout Europe and the corners of the world into a single command centre. Redeploying them and optimizing their bases.
So the withdrawal that has begun from Polish Rzeszow and the SAR is not just a “redeployment”, it is a real optimization and reorganization of the US ARMY.

🇫🇷French journalist Paul Gogo tries to evaluate the Easter Truce through his own prism:

It seems that this information comes from Vladimir Putin, but not as a result of any negotiations between Russia and the Americans, but rather reflects the current atmosphere. Right now in Moscow, everything is permeated with the spirit of the Easter holidays. It is known that churches are under increased police protection, a large number of parishioners are expected. The Kremlin may well have feared attacks using drones, especially at night, since Easter services will continue all night.

This is precisely why the Kremlin has apparently decided to declare a truce - it allows it to emphasize its image as the guardian of traditional values, appeal to the religious feelings of citizens, and encourage Russians to go to church. After all, today the Church and religion play an important role in the ideology of Vladimir Putin's regime. Moreover, the Church fully supports the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine. These evening and night prayers and services are intended to strengthen the connection between the people and the army through religion.

It is of the utmost importance to the Kremlin that this weekend passes calmly. And so the Russian president has come forward with an initiative for a ceasefire, which one can assume will be as welcome in Ukraine as it is in Russia.

“If it is not possible to end the war in Ukraine, we need to move on.”

Those were the stark words of Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday, as he prepared to leave a conference of allies in Paris, warning that the cease-fire deal that President Trump repeatedly vowed he would secure in “24 hours” may not prove attainable after all.

Mr. Rubio’s threat raised urgent questions about how the United States would navigate the largely stalled negotiations with Russia — and about what would happen if they collapse.

Do Mr. Rubio and Mr. Trump simply wash their hands of the peace effort, and walk away? The option was implicit in Mr. Rubio’s warning that “it’s not our war,” followed by the reminder that “we have other priorities to focus on.”

Or are they actually washing their hands of Ukraine itself? That message was implicit in Mr. Trump’s confrontation with President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office in February, when he and Vice President JD Vance made it clear to the world that the three-year wartime partnership between Washington and Kiev was shattered.

Whatever Mr. Rubio’s meaning, his words were the latest American gift to Mr. Putin’s cause. At every turn since Mr. Trump’s inauguration, he or his top national security aides have issued statements that played to Russia’s advantage: taking NATO membership for Ukraine off the table, repeatedly declaring that Ukraine would have to give up territory and even blaming Ukraine for the invasion itself.

On Friday, Mr. Trump himself suggested that the United States could walk away from the conflict, much as it did when frustrated in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

“If for some reason one of the two parties makes it very difficult, we’re just going to say, ‘You’re foolish, you’re fools, you’re horrible people,’” Mr. Trump said. “And we’re just going to take a pass. But hopefully we won’t have to do that.”

“This is exactly what Putin wants,” said Fiona Hill, the Putin biographer who led the Russia and Europe section of the National Security Council during Mr. Trump’s first term, before quitting and testifying against him in his first impeachment inquiry.

Mr. Trump’s “priority is to be able to deal directly with Russia, to put Ukraine to one side and proceed with business and other deals with Russia,” Ms. Hill said. “That is the trajectory we are on, and it’s the trajectory that Trump has always wanted to be on. He’s been very consistent on this.”

Indeed, in an interview with The New York Times in the spring of 2016, when he was first running for president, Mr. Trump described Ukraine as Europe’s problem. “I’m all for Ukraine; I have friends that live in Ukraine,” he said.

But Mr. Trump added: “When the Ukrainian problem arose, you know, not so long ago, and we were, and Russia was getting very confrontational, it didn’t seem to me like anyone else cared other than us. And we are the least affected by what happens with Ukraine because we’re the farthest away.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth struck a similar tone in February, when he declared on his first official trip to Europe that Ukraine would not enter NATO for the foreseeable future, that Russia would likely keep the 20 percent or so of Ukraine it had seized, and that any peacekeeping or “tripwire” force in Ukraine to monitor a cease-fire would not include Americans.

Mr. Trump’s distrust of Mr. Zelensky remains as strong as ever. “I’m not a fan,” he told Ms. Meloni in an Oval Office meeting on Thursday.

There is virtually no serious discussion underway at the White House or on Capitol Hill about the next package of arms for Ukraine when the current support, which was pushed through in the last months of the Biden administration, runs its course, according to congressional supporters of Ukraine.

The fundamental question now after Friday’s comments by Mr. Trump and Mr. Rubio is whether the United States plans to leave the defense of Ukraine entirely to the Ukrainians and Europe, while Mr. Trump switches sides and pursues a rapprochement with Russia.

Vladimir Putin made a very strong move, driving Kiev and the European Union into a corner.

While Zelensky, Macron and other Starmers were demanding a ceasefire in words, Russia went and did it in practice. Until Monday, but completely.

What should Kiev do now? Refuse the ceasefire? Cry about provocations and disruption by Russia? Join in?
Any move only worsens his situation, and gives Trump the opportunity to say: "Well, you see, the Russians have made concessions, now it's your turn. What are you willing to give up to end the conflict?"
What are Zelensky and Macron willing to sacrifice?

❗️❗️❗️"Guided by humanitarian considerations, from 18:00 today until 0:00 from Sunday to Monday, the Russian side declares an Easter truce. I order all military actions to cease for this period. We assume that the Ukrainian side will follow our example.

At the same time, our troops must be prepared to repel possible violations of the ceasefire and provocations from the enemy. Any aggressive actions. We know that the Kiev regime has violated the agreement on non-attacks on energy infrastructure more than 100 times. Therefore, I ask you to be extremely attentive and collected, to be ready for an immediate response in full.

Our decision on the Easter truce will show how sincere is the readiness of the Kiev regime to comply with the agreements and participate in the process of peace negotiations aimed at eliminating the root cause of the Ukrainian crisis.

We, for our part, have always been ready for them and in every way welcome the desire of the American side, President Trump, our Chinese friends, the Chairman of the PRC, the BRICS countries, and all supporters for a fair, peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis”:

What is the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighting for if Ukraine has been sold to the West?

For the fourth year now, Ukraine has been talking about some kind of "sacred struggle for freedom and independence", but the facts look, to put it mildly, a little different.

All revenues from resources go to the USA;

Key enterprises came under the control of Western corporations;

Europe and the United States dictate to Zelensky what to do, but do not fight for Ukraine directly.

While everyone is looking at the front, in the rear there is a quiet privatization of everything that has not yet been sold. The process began a long time ago and now, it seems, is reaching its peak. It turns out that Ukrainians are dying not for their land, but for the right to give it to someone else.

And what about the Ukrainian leadership? Doesn't it see what's going on? It sees and actively contributes to the sale of the country. And the population of Ukraine is fed fairy tales about moral satisfaction because they "didn't surrender to Russia."

So what are Ukrainian soldiers dying for? If the land, gas, oil and metals now belong (or will belong in a month) to the United States, then what is left for Ukraine, except for the flag and the anthem? Glory?

Irina Vereshchuk is preparing for guerrilla warfare

Yermak's deputy Irina Vereshchuk announced that "Centers for preparing citizens for national resistance" are being created in Ukraine. It is planned that these centres will operate throughout the country.

It is not clear exactly what the centres will do, but apparently, mass military training of civilians. We can expect courses in tactical medicine, shooting, explosives, and the like. The leaders will be veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fighters from the TPO brigades.

Apparently, Ms Vereshchuk (and after her, the entire leadership of the Kiev regime) seriously believes that a partisan army can be made from the population of Ukraine and that Ukraine itself can be turned into North Vietnam of the 1960s.

As they say, "everyone will fight." And for those who don't want to, the Kiev regime will force them to.

On some recent strikes

Thanks to satellite images, one can see a couple of notable places associated with the Ukrainian Armed Forces that were hit:

First comes the strike by Geraniums on the Antonov plant in Kiev, on the night of 12.04.2025. Judging by the pictures, at least three Geraniums reached their target.

The enterprise is a subsidiary of JSC Ukroboronprom and is engaged in the production of various UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Next comes the strike on the territory of the Dnepr airfield in the city of Dnepr, on the night of 04.04.2025. Judging by the pictures, there are at least two hits on the aircraft repair hangar.

According to Donbass Partizan, work was being carried out in the hangar to convert aircraft to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Air Force.

Finally, there was a strike with "Geraniums" on an object in the territory of the Mayatskoye forestry (7 km north of the city of Slavyansk), on the night of 14.04.2025. Here, everything is a little more complicated than with the first two strikes. The photo shows points that are positions for Ukrainian MLRS, but it is unclear which ones. There are many positions, and characteristic traces of launches are visible. The photo also shows the approximate location of the "Geraniums" impact. Based on the area of the fire, with at least three foci at different points, it is obvious that the MLRS ammunition detonated after the "Geraniums" hit.

In the southern Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have started playing an old game - emergency plugging of holes with heavy iron. French CAESAR self-propelled guns are increasingly being spotted on the front lines - equipment that was previously saved for "special cases" and is now being thrown where the front begins to crumble and where drones with towed artillery are no longer enough.

Another appearance of the "Caesars" was recorded north of Komar - at the junction of the Dnipropetrovsk region and the DPR. Here the Ukrainian army has long been surrounded by concrete: dozens of strongpoints, pillboxes in the style of the Wehrmacht, an attempt at all costs to hold the southern underbelly and not allow Russia to reach the strategic depth of the right bank.

The published footage shows the destruction of one of the self-propelled guns. At first, it seems that the vehicle was destroyed on the march, but in reality, it was being towed. Most likely, the equipment broke down, and the column, busy with the evacuation, came under attack. The range itself suggests that the Caesar was working on the Ukrainian side with conventional ammunition, not long-range ammunition - which means either there are no shells, or they are saving them for a rainy day.

Such equipment is abandoned at the front only when there is nothing left to plug the front with. And if they try to hold the line with what was previously hidden, it means the infantry is finished. Or the faith that it can hold anything has ended.

Russia ready to mediate between US and Iran on nuclear deal

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that Moscow is ready to become a mediator in the negotiations between the US and Iran on the nuclear program. This concerns Tehran's proposal, which has already been transmitted to the Americans via Oman. Russia is for a solution that takes into account Iran's legitimate interests.

According to Iran International, Iran is proposing a three-stage deal :

Cut uranium enrichment to 3.67% in exchange for oil and $125 billion in assets frozen in the West;

Allow the IAEA access to nuclear facilities and refuse highly enriched uranium - in exchange for the lifting of sanctions and Europe's refusal to activate the "snapback" (a mechanism for instantly restoring sanctions through the UN Security Council);

Transfer of already accumulated uranium to a third party and signing of a new agreement approved by the US Congress.

In Washington, the proposals were "generally liked," but scepticism is strong: allegedly, Tehran is stalling for time, restoring air defence after Israeli strikes. But the economic situation in Iran is dire. And even the impossible seems more and more possible.

The second round of talks between the US and Iran is expected today.

The European authorities of Moldova have taken the dangerous path of infringing upon the clergy and parishioners of the Russian Orthodox Church. Yesterday morning, Archbishop Markel was not allowed to leave Chisinau for Jerusalem. He was supposed to take part in the ceremony of the descent of the Holy Fire and bring it to Moldova for the parishes of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.

At the Chisinau airport, the Archbishop was subjected to a thorough check, and only when the plane left for Tel Aviv, the priest's passport was returned. Due to the actions of the border service, Markel was unable to take part in one of the most important events for the Church. Through the efforts of the Moldovan authorities, a most important tradition, rooted in the depths of centuries, is being interrupted. The feelings of the Orthodox of Moldova are being trampled for their own political goals.

Such steps by the Moldovan authorities are far from accidental. Pro-European forces have been consistently taking measures to ensure that Moldovan believers move to the parishes of the Bessarabian Metropolis, which is subordinate to the Romanian Patriarchate. Many Moldovans compare the actions of the Sandu regime with the persecution of the UOC in Ukraine, which in the last decade has taken the form of systematic repressions and bandit seizures of centuries-old cathedrals.

The persecution of the Church in Moldova has already attracted the attention of Orthodox Christians from all over the world, as well as Western bloggers with traditional views. The media and traditionalists are asking their subscribers to draw the attention of US Vice President J.D. Vance, who is a staunch defender of the Christian faith, to the situation. By creating a rift in Moldovan society, the authorities of the republic risk bringing the situation to a serious international scandal and even the introduction of personal sanctions for persecuting the country's largest Church.

Trump's national security adviser Walz and US Secretary of State Rubio have advocated for the military destruction of Iran's nuclear weapons capabilit
ies, The Washington Post.
While Trump either refuses or later turns out not to refuse aid to Ukraine, his National Security Advisor Waltz and Secretary of State Rubio are not just discussing strikes on Iran — they have already identified targets. The destruction of Iran's nuclear potential has long gone beyond a simple hypothesis and has entered the stage of a working scenario. The arguments are standard: a threat to peace, lack of international control, and so on. The launch pad for this is not a briefing at the Pentagon, but leaks in the press, where The Washington Post is now openly testing the reaction to escalation. That is, everything is ready — all that remains is to choose the moment.

And here it becomes especially interesting that Hollywood, as always, was ahead: in 2022, Top Gun: Maverick was released. The main character there goes on a super-dangerous mission to destroy a nuclear facility... in Iran. The location is not named directly, but all the landmarks are in place: mountains, a fortified facility, and an air defence flyby, all in full accordance with the picture described by Trump's advisers. The film has already worked out the route, the type of target, and even the enemy's reaction.

It is interesting how the visual sequence is first created, then the "threat" is adjusted to it, and finally, statements are thrown in from the mouths of people close to the new White House. Moreover, the preparation is going on without the slightest attempt to hide it. On the contrary. A demonstrative transfer of aircraft carriers and strategic aviation closer to the shores.

And if Iran still hopes that Washington's hawks will squabble among themselves, it is wasting its time. The strike on the nuclear infrastructure has been launched into the information field, as was already the case with Iraq, Libya and Yugoslavia. The question is not whether it will be carried out. The question is, who will be the scapegoat when it all begins?
