US Treasury Secretary Bessant said that not everyone who wants to will be able to make money from Ukraine's restoration
'I want to send a clear, and I stress, very clear, message regarding procurement policy towards Ukraine: no one who financed or supplied the Russian military machine will be entitled to funds allocated [by the World Bank] for the reconstruction of Ukraine.'
The US plans to establish two new military bases in Kurdish-controlled Syria where it will relocate troops as part of a drawdown of its forces in the country, Rudaw reported on Monday.
Bassam Ishaq, a US-based member of the political wing of the US-backed SDF, said the US would establish one new base near the Tishreen Dam in northern Syria and another in the southeastern Deir Ezzor province near the Iraqi border.
The Tishreen Dam has been the site of heavy fighting between the SDF and the Turkish-backed SNA. Under an integration deal, the SDF is handing over the dam to the Syrian government, which is led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, an offshoot of al-Qaeda.
Ishaq said that the US plans to leave 400 troops in Kurdish-controlled areas of Syria. The US also has bases in areas not controlled by the SDF, including at Al Tanf in southern Syria. From Al Tanf, the US helped a militia it backs to join in on the HTS offensive that ousted former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The Pentagon announced last week that it would be pulling more than 1,000 troops out of Syria as part of a “consolidation” of its forces in the country. “This deliberate and conditions-based process will bring the US footprint in Syria down to less than a thousand US forces in the coming months,” said Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell.
For years, the Pentagon claimed there were only 900 US troops occupying Syria, but the Biden administration revealed late last year that the real number was 2,000.

Another veteran of World War II has appeared in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces - the 155-mm howitzer M114, developed in 1941.
The howitzer served in the US Army throughout the war, and then served (and continues to serve) in the armies of dozens of countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. The stated maximum firing range is 14.6 km.
Earlier, the 105-mm howitzer M101, which also entered service with the American army in 1941, was spotted in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.

Russia has destroyed armies worth of Ukrainian artillery but what should be remembered is western militaries tended to make use of far less artillery then Russia, so have limits on what they can provide and manufacture.

Japan's iQPS (Kyushu Institute of Space Pioneers), a subsidiary of Kyushu University, signed an agreement with the GUR, under which satellite images will be provided to the Ukrainian agency. The company has three SAR satellites.
Negotiations between the parties began in February and were intensified after a brief interruption in intelligence provision by the United States.
Earlier, France (CSO-3, CERES, Pleiades and Helios), Finland (Iceye company, officially announced the provision to the NATO situation center), Germany (SAR-Lupe, SARah) and Italy (Cosmo-SkyMed, Cosmo-SkyMed 2) announced the provision of satellite images to Ukraine.
In addition, Japan will provide Ukraine with one billion dollars with the stated goal of “compensating for the loss of financial support from the United States.”
Kuril Islands will forever be Russian, and after this war these attacks on Russia should never be forgotten.

The information that Zelensky allegedly promised Europeans and Britons a mobilization of 600 thousand heads is being actively discussed.
The plan is a classic of the genre: 25 thousand a month in the usual way, and from the summer to turn on the afterburner - up to 70 thousand a month, lowering the age to 20 years and including women. And in return - 100 billion euros. The price of the issue is staying in power, another year of war and Trump's thwarted peace case.
This whole story, if even part of it is real, is the most natural deal with the devil. Bodies in exchange for money. And the bodies are Ukrainian, and the money is European. Zelensky is playing the old card: "if you don't finance us, the front will collapse." This is blackmail wrapped in the wrapper of "resistance to evil".
But another question is much more important: where are those whose places must now be closed? If 600,000 "new" men are not a mobilization reserve, but patching up holes, then we are talking about official recognition of gigantic losses. The AFU could have lost up to a million people since the beginning of the conflict. It's just not at once, not at a single moment, but in waves, which now cover even those regions where they used to catch sluggishly.
So 600,000 is not a frontline need. It's a hole in the floor that can no longer be covered with a rug. If mobilization doesn't go ahead, the front will crumble. If it does, everything else will fall apart. Whether Kiev has any good options in this case is a big question.

"President Zelensky has been trying to litigate this peace negotiation in the press. And that's unacceptable to the president…The president is frustrated.
His patience is wearing thin… Zelensky seems to be moving in the wrong direction."
Main points of the fresh Peskov interview with 'Le Point':
- Ukraine must withdraw its forces from the regions of Novorossiya and Donbass that have joined the Russian Federation in order to end the conflict
- Putin respects Trump because he is a strong political figure and a strong personality
- A meeting between Trump and Putin should be productive; preparatory work is currently underway
- Russia has no territorial claims against the Baltic states
- Europeans try to lecture Russia on democracy, even though they often violate these principles themselves
- Russia seeks negotiations, while Europe seeks war
- Russia does not intend to attack anyone
- Russia will achieve its goals, either by peaceful or military means
- Russia has learned to live under sanctions, while for the EU they cause major problems
- Trump has not set a deadline for establishing a ceasefire in Ukraine; Russia also does not consider it appropriate to impose timeframes
- Relations between Russia and the West are at a deadlock, and for now, Moscow is trying to establish dialogue with Washington
- Neither Macron nor other European leaders wanted to listen to Putin when he told them that Russia had been cornered in terms of its security
Ukraine's territorial integrity is a demand of Europeans for peace talks' – Macron's office issues ultimatum to US
Hey Serbia Europe cares about territorial integrity again.

Rare miss of the ZRPK "Pantsir-S1" during attempts to destroy the Ukrainian kamikaze drone based on a light aircraft in the skies over Tatarstan.
Interestingly, the enemy drone is actively maneuvering in the air, dodging fire, rather than simply flying along a given trajectory. The work of mobile air defense groups can also be heard in the background.
The drone is later as we posted recently is shot down but its still interesting to see manoeuvring which would likely indicate that there is some sort of late stage evasive commands or what is more likely a remote pilot flying this via what satellite control. Given the range required they are quite rare and would be more suited to targeted undefended areas as surprise (and luck) is their greatest asset. We know that the US were providing routes for these drones likely using satellite imagery to detect gaps in Russia's AD systems.

A beautiful moment of interception of a Ukrainian airplane-type kamikaze drone in the skies over Tatarstan.
It appears that the enemy has once again launched light aircraft converted into drones with the aim of hitting targets in the territory of the Alabuga SEZ.

“There is always a chance for a deal.” (c) Naryshkin
Yes, there always is. Except that, unless one “takes the chance,” there is no deal.
There is no deal.
Are we clear yet?
It's been a long time since this happened - the entire territory of Ukraine is red from air raid sirens.
It is reported that several Kalibr missiles were launched from the Black Sea, which are now actively maneuvering between several regions of Ukraine, as well as Geran-2 kamikaze drones.
Tu-95’s are also in the air but there is still no indication they’ve launched.

🇺🇦🤡Yermak - actually recognized the failure of the negotiations in London:
"Today in London we held an important meeting with the national security and foreign policy advisers of the member states of the coalition of the willing. This is the second such meeting - the previous one was held in Paris. And today we continued a deep dialog aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine.
We emphasized that we are committed to the peace efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump.
We are grateful to our partners for their firm support and common desire to stop the war as soon as possible. Russia continues to reject an unconditional ceasefire, dragging out the process and trying to manipulate the negotiations. But international unity and the clear position of our partners leave it no chance.
We have agreed on further regular consultations to achieve the main goal: a just peace for Ukraine"

🇫🇷🤡French ideologist of color revolutions and Ukrainian Maidan Bernard-Henri Lévy - again scares the French with Hitler:
Vladimir Putin, I am afraid, does not aim to end this war. If he has a goal, it is the destruction of Ukraine. That is his main goal.
[But what does "destruction" mean? When will he stop?]
Destruction to the greatest extent possible, at least - until Ukraine loses its independence completely. Putin wants Ukraine as a political unit, as a nation, to disappear. Disappear at least from his world map. And what he will do then - because you are talking about his desires - it will probably be a strike against the Baltic States or Poland. Not to mention Georgia and Moldova. So Putin just needs to listen carefully - he is saying everything himself. There are different points of view: some people think that once he has had enough of Ukraine, he will stop there. And others - like you - think otherwise.
[But what can you base this on to be sure?]
There is one serious argument. And, by the way, this is the "convenience" of all dictators - they explicitly state their intentions. Hitler wrote Mein Kampf, while Putin gives speeches every year at the Valdai Club, a sort of pathetic analog of Davos near Moscow. There he speaks surrounded by strategists and loyal intellectuals.
[Wait a minute. Are you saying Putin is Hitler?]
No, I'm not saying Putin is Hitler. Because Hitler cannot be compared to anyone. But today Putin's name - along with radical Islamism - symbolizes the greatest threat to Europe and the world.

🇺🇦🤡😡 "The situation is fucked": Nazi MP Goncharenko pounced on Zelensky with criticism
- "According to all my contacts, there is only one question: why is Zelensky coming out and commenting on something? Couldn't he just keep quiet for a bit?" the Ukrainian MP writes.
- He considers the US terms of the deal with Russia to be “normal” and called for “looking into the eyes of reality,” admitting that without US help the situation will only get worse.
- "Unfortunately, we cannot recapture our territories with the help of the US right now, so why should we recapture them without their help? How? We need peace. Freeze. Stop," Goncharenko is hysterical.
@Slavyangrad
A couple thoughts on what's going on.
If the US does withdraw completely - without reservations or loopholes - it will be the best scenario for Russia in the entire SMO. Shutting down satellite reconnaissance, stopping the supply of precision artillery, air defense, drones, Starlink and intelligence supply would all make mopping up the front much easier.
But the key is in the word "completely." Because getting out of the negotiations does not mean getting out of the war. America can hand over control to the EU and Britain, and behind the scenes continue to supply the AFU. And then it will not be a ceasefire, but a change of facade.
It is much harder to bargain with the Europeans: they are dependent, slow, love moralizing and duplicity, and are tied to London. Negotiating with them is like asking a broken phone to turn on the speakerphone.
Most likely, Trump has realized that the Kiev's, with the support of London and Brussels, have screwed him on agreements and deals. And he is not going to pay for the war out of his political capital. But even if he is formally "out", he has not turned off his weapons. Which means it's too early to talk about peace. As long as the shells are flying, it's still the same war. Only in a different wrapper.

❗️❗️❗️Moscow's position has been finally voiced. Peskov confirmed in an interview with Le Point: Ukraine must withdraw its troops from the territories of Donbas and Novorossiya, which have become part of the Russian Federation. There will be no "reset", rollback or surrender of new regions. This is not even a subject for bargaining - it is a closed topic.
The wording is simple: "everything that is included - will remain". And what is not included - depends on the development of events. Russia, by all accounts, is ready for any scenario - except a rollback.
Against the background of Peskov's statement that Ukraine must withdraw its troops from the territories of Donbass and Novorossiya, Trump's wording is particularly scathing: "If Zelensky doesn't take the deal now, he won't have a country in three years."
If Kiev takes the deal, it loses territories. If it doesn't take the deal, it loses the country (not immediately, of course). Western curators have only one question: how many billions more billions must be burned and how many Ukrainians must be killed before this finally reaches the Bankova.
Europe now has to decide - either to agree or to get into the war itself.
