🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia plans to encircle Sumy — BBC Ukraine
▪️The start of Russia's operation may be indicated by the increase in the number of military clashes on all sections of the front at the end of March.
▪️The number of Russian offensive actions has more than doubled since the beginning of the year.
▪️The Ukrainian General Staff believes that a full-scale Russian offensive could begin in May-June.
▪️The Russian army is not slowing down the pace of its offensive near Pokrovsk.
▪️The logistics hub of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Novopavlovka, Dnepropetrovsk region, is under threat.
▪️In early April, Russia broke through the Ukrainian defense in the Liman direction.
▪️The activity of the Russian offensive in the Sumy and Kharkov regions has increased.
▪️Russia’s plan in the northern part of Ukraine is to create a buffer zone in the Sumy region and threaten the regional center.
➖"One of the goals is to create an encirclement or semi-encirclement of Sumy," the Ukrainian General Staff says.

🇷🇴The winner of the first round of the annulled Romanian presidential election, Georgescu:
NATO does not need a free Romania. NATO has the biggest military base in our country. They want to start World War III with Romania. They can involve Europe and the US, they have their own interest in this war. Romania is a key factor that can either protect humanity from war or unleash it because Romania has the biggest border with Ukraine with 614 kilometers, Poland with 529 kilometers, Hungary with 128 kilometers.
Geographically, the country is very important because of Ukraine. Romania is an asset for the Europeans and for Macron that can be used to start a war. In addition, Romania can be responsible for security in the Black Sea. And, of course, one can have regional influence over Moldova and the Black Sea through Romania.

Ahead of the Iranian-American talks in Oman, the parties continue to play out details.
Thus, Axios, citing European sources, writes that Iran is considering the possibility of proposing joint work on an interim nuclear agreement at Saturday's talks before moving on to negotiations on a comprehensive deal.
Iran likely believes that reaching a complex and detailed nuclear deal in two months is unrealistic and wants to buy time to avoid escalation.
Axios speculates that an interim agreement could include a suspension of some of Iran's uranium enrichment activities, diluting its stockpile of 60 percent enriched uranium, and giving IAEA inspectors greater access to Iran's nuclear facilities. On the latter, Iran has threatened to expel IAEA inspectors, suspend cooperation with the IAEA and expel inspectors, and disperse enriched materials to safe and hidden locations in response to threats of military force against it.
An interim agreement could also include an extension of the “snapback” mechanism – the return of all UN sanctions on Iran – that was part of the 2015 nuclear deal. France, Britain and Germany have said they will impose sanctions if a new agreement is not reached by the end of June. And Iran has also made a counter-threat to that, notably in January: to withdraw from the NPT if UN Security Council sanctions are reinstated.
The interim agreement would likely also include Iran’s demand that Trump suspend his “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran’s economy. It is unclear whether Trump is willing to do so. This week, the U.S. imposed two rounds of new sanctions on Iranian companies and individuals linked to the nuclear program and oil industry.
Meanwhile, the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) carrier strike group arrived in the CENTCOM area of responsibility, increasing the American naval presence in the region to two carrier strike groups. The air force was replenished with six F-15E fighters, which were deployed to the Jordanian air base at Muwaffaq Salti.
The buildup of air defense systems in the region also continued with the emergency deployment of six MIM-104 Patriot air defense missile batteries from the Republic of Korea, the INDOPACOM commander reported . This required 73 C-17 transport flights.

‼️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia intends to break into the Dnipropetrovsk region to get another trump card — CNN
▪️In the last 10 days, the Russian army has again become more active and is transferring additional forces and equipment for future offensives.
▪️Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction may be directed to the west, and not to Pokrovsk itself.
▪️According to Ukrainian analysts, Russia's main target in this area is Novopavlovka.
▪️The entry of Russian troops into the Dnepropetrovsk region will be a significant moment.
▪️Russian control over part of the Dnipropetrovsk region could be seen as "useful bargaining chip in future negotiations."
Honestly I really haven't noticed anything different that Russia is doing, only change is probably just related to weather. This is one of those Putin is mocking Trump, which is designed to stir the pot.

🔍What is USAID’s SCANDALOUS LEGACY in six nations it's made a comeback to?
USAID operations, reportedly rebooted in Syria, Somalia, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Ecuador, were more a curse than a blessing for these countries.
Here’s why:
🇸🇾Syria
Funding infamous White Helmets - key players in staging chemical attack frame-ups that triggered Western strikes on Syria. $44.6M USAID program implicated in embezzlement and cash diversions to armed groups in Idlib.
🇸🇴Somalia
USAID, responsible for 40% of aid, faced claims of fraud vulnerability and fund diversions, with congressman Scott Perry (R-PA) accusing it of bankrolling terrorist groups, including Boko Haram.
🇱🇧Lebanon
USAID took credit for laying the groundwork for Lebanon’s 2005 Cedar Revolution, boasting years of funding before protests forced Syria’s exit. US aid tripled in the early 2000s - from $15M to $45M.
🇪🇨Eсuador
Then-president Rafael Correa accused the agency of funding opposition to destabilize his government. WikiLeaks-uncovered cables revealed US actions to derail his 2006 run.
US State Dept sent a $20K grant for Ecuadorian drag theater, DOGE found.
🇯🇴Jordan
Funding of infrastructure and services sparked accusations of creating fiscal dependency, with aid used as leverage for policy alignments, including forcing Palestinian refugee repositioning, per The National News.
🇮🇶Iraq
Halliburton, Bechtel accused of reaping windfalls of post-war reconstruction; watchdog groups claimed funds were siphoned off, and used to shape politics to fit US interests.
Cringe alert: Sen. Joni Ernst slammed agency’s $20M for an Iraqi Sesame Street children's show to "promote inclusion".

Eat or wash? Almost half of the French have cut back on their hygiene products
According to a survey, 47% of the French have reduced their consumption of hygiene products, Le Figaro writes . A third of those surveyed wear their clothes longer to use less detergent. And some have even learned to do without toothpaste . The reason is lack of money.
"Eight million people in France are forced to make a choice : eat or wash. We must mobilize to help them ," commented Dominique Besançon, managing director of the Dons Solidaires association.
If this is true then the French are really not helping the stereotype on the French being dirty and smelly.

The first point in this report is the renaming of “about 1,000 populated areas, 25 administrative districts and 27 city districts.”

The European Union and China are now starting negotiations to abolish EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.
China and the European Union have exchanged views on strengthening their economic and trade cooperation in response to U.S. tariffs, the Chinese Commerce Ministry said on Thursday.
In a video call on Tuesday, China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao discussed with European trade and economic security commissioner Maros Sefcovic the restart of talks on trade relief and to immediately carry out negotiations on electric vehicle price commitments, the Chinese ministry statement said.
China and EU also discussed creating a more favourable business environment for enterprises and trade transfer issues.
They will continue to strengthen communication under the World Trade Organization framework and jointly promote WTO reform, the ministry statement said.
The EU had imposed additional tariffs of up to 35.3% on China-made electric vehicles at the end of October after an anti-subsidy investigation, on top of the bloc's standard 10% car import tariffs.
The commerce ministry said last week that the two sides have agreed to restart negotiations on minimum price commitments on Chinese EVs but did not specify when that would resume.

Here’s the real question, who gives up first?
1. President Trump
2. China
3. Bond market
At this rate, the 10Y Note Yield will be at 5% next week.
Inevitably, one of these 3 factors has to give very soon; this is unsustainable.
Which cracks first?
The bond market's move is likely the number one thing Trump is watching right now.
In fact, he said the bond market was a major factor behind the 90-day tariff delay.
Bonds are telling us something.

The first fatality has been reported as a result of signing a contract under the "18-24 program" with the Ukrainian army.
It is reported that she was 21-year-old Veronika from the 92nd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Information about her death appeared in early April .
Even if she signed the contract on the day of their announcement on February 11 (which is unlikely), then from the moment of signing to the moment of death, about 50 days passed instead of the promised 3 months of preparation (in fact , 45 days + 14 days + 14 days ).
It is obvious that these promises are simply not kept and in fact the young people are sent to the front lines much earlier.

...North Korea plans to send Russia ‘thousands’ of ballistic missiles, says US Indo-Pacific Command chief
▪️Admiral Samuel Paparo claims that the DPRK supplies Russia with hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of short-range ballistic missiles.
▪️China, according to his information, supplies Russia with "microchips for the restoration of the Russian military machine."
▪️In exchange, Russia provided China with technology for silent submarine movement, and North Korea with air defense systems and surface-to-air missiles, Paparo claims.

▪️In 2016, Russia and India signed an intergovernmental agreement on the completion of two ships in the Russian Federation and the construction of two in India.
▪️The frigate is equipped with its own standard gas turbine main power plants of the M7N series manufactured by the Nikolaev State Enterprise Scientific and Production Complex Zorya-Mashproekt (Ukraine), which were delivered to the Indian side by the State Concern Ukroboronprom.

The Wall Street Journal complains in a new article that, according to the Ukrainian side, the DPRK military has been adapted to the conditions of war.
Ukrainian military personnel report that if in the initial period the Koreans' tactics were not adapted to modern conditions, and there were obvious problems with interaction and even reaction to drones, now everything is different.
Allegedly, after the first wave of losses, a portion of the forces was withdrawn and additional tactical and individual training was carried out.
It is also reported that general interaction and communication with the Russian military have been improved. The individual equipment of North Korean attack aircraft has also been improved to fully comply with the Russian level.
This, according to Ukrainian commentators, made it possible to correct a number of the North Koreans' initial weaknesses while preserving their strengths.
The Ukrainians consider the enemy's traditional strengths to be their numbers, high level of motivation, efficiency and physical fitness.
And now they are blaming their departure from the Kursk region on this.
