Russian delegation in Istanbul are thimbleriggers' - Zelensky continues to accuse Russia of disrupting peace talks
'Russia did not give Ukraine the memorandum before the meeting in Istanbul because the Russians understood that it was an ultimatum, not a memorandum. Ukraine would have had every right not to come to the meeting. They are thimbleriggers. Why did they do this? To demonstrate to the US that they are constructive. This is theater so that Trump does not impose sanctions.'

The destruction of a camouflaged 155-mm PzH 2000 self-propelled gun of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by fiber-optic FPV drones from the Rubicon center near the village of Petrovskoye .
This is at least the fourth case of FPV drones hitting these long-range German self-propelled guns in recent months ( 1 , 2 , 3 ).
There are two reasons why the PzH 2000 has come into the drones' sights: the increasing use by the enemy of outdated, shorter-range 155-mm ammunition and the significant increase in the range of Russian FPV drones.

Zelensky criticized Trump after conversation with Putin
➖"Many have spoken to Russia at various levels. No conversations have led not only to a reliable peace, but even to an end to the war. Unfortunately, Putin feels impunity and even after all the horrific Russian strikes, he is allegedly preparing some more responses," Zelensky whines.
▪️The drug addict even made it clear that Trump, who announced Moscow’s upcoming response to the strikes on its air bases and did not react to Putin’s statement, shares responsibility for these strikes.
➖"If the strong do not stop Putin, then they share responsibility with him. And if they want to, but cannot stop him, Putin will no longer consider them strong," he said.

🇦🇺🤷♂Space Cancelled - First Australian Rocket Launch Aborted Because of Parrot :
"The Australian company was due to launch its 23-metre Eris rocket, but the launch was cancelled after a problem was discovered.
The attempt was postponed until the next day, but it also failed: an electrical malfunction occurred, causing the rocket's nose cone to open automatically.
The company later released a photo of the "suspect" - a white cockatoo gnawing on electrical wires at the launch pad .

CBvM's personal opinion: I think it rubbed the neocons in his cabinet off like crazy since it could have been interpreted as "you can have all Ukraine but please let me annihilate Iran, I've got a lot of people breathing down my neck because they want to watch brown people burn, especially Graham and his lover Blumenthal. In even greater quantities than they're burning already that is."
As anyone who knows neocon psychology (or rather, mental illness) can attest, compromise is like sunlight to a vampire, and anything short of absolute maximalist demands is a surrender.

US refuses to provide air support for British and French peacekeepers if sent to Ukraine, - Bloomberg
▪️The Europeans came to this conclusion during negotiations with the Americans.
➖“While British Prime Minister Keir Starmer insists that so-called US “backstopping” is needed to deter Russia from violating any future ceasefire agreement, European allies have concluded in discussions with their US counterparts that Trump will not provide the guarantees they have sought to support a European-led “coalition of the willing.”
▪️Because of this, the Europeans have adjusted their assessment and now believe that a combination of Ukrainian forces, allied training, European troops and air power stationed on NATO's eastern flank, and patrols of the Black Sea will be enough to deter Russia.
▪️Britain and France have already completed a plan to send peacekeepers, but have postponed it until ceasefire talks resume. European officials consider a peaceful settlement in Ukraine "increasingly less likely."

Trump has particular hostility toward Zelensky, considering him a "bad guy" - New York Times
➖Advisers to the US president say Trump has particular hostility toward Zelensky. "He has repeatedly told aides that Zelensky is a 'bad guy' who is pushing the world toward the brink of nuclear war," the NYT writes.
▪️At the same time, the US President treats Putin “more respectfully”, although he sometimes expresses his disappointment.
▪️Trump previously believed that statements about his "very, very good relations" with the Russian president would help quickly end the war in Ukraine, but later learned from his own "bitter experience what the limits of American influence are."
Trump has good instincts here. Zelensky is a dangerous little man.

The process of destroying enemy forces in the area of the village of Redkodub on the border of the DPR and the Kharkov region.
The footage shows the massive use of aerial bombs from the UMPK, FPV drones and Molniya-2.
Also, in addition to several vehicles and an M113 APC, the FPV drone's sights also included an APC-82A with a characteristic landing grill. If this is not finishing off their own abandoned equipment, then the Ukrainian Armed Forces have also begun to use similar grills on captured equipment.

I would not hold my breath for some monumental retributory strike against Ukraine.
Business as usual—Russia will continue pushing its, to some fair weather supporters—boring, but undeniably effective military pressure.
If you look at the history of this conflict, other than the one Oreshnik show of force, Russia has not, to date, bothered with any showcase retaliations. And this is how it should be.
In war, save your ammo for what matters. Empty gestures create diminishing returns. The only item of value for an Oreshnik strike is that bothersome tunnel on Ukraine’s west border. I have no confidence than even an Oreshnik strike can do anything to it—I may well be proven wrong.
Striking the “decision centres” would likely do nothing either, as the actual decision-makers are unlikely to be there.
What’s left? The boring, day-to-day routine of war, the power (including gas) generation and storage (which Russia has been reticent to finish off because of humanitarian concerns), and the outright assassinations of Ukrainian leadership figures (a touchy subject, as it opens a can of worms, but also because these leadership figures are fairly beneficial to Russia’s cause).
All in all, I predict business as usual. And, like it or not, I am fine with that.

S&P announced Ukraine's default on GDP warrants
▪️International rating agency S&P Global Ratings has officially announced a default on Ukrainian securities linked to GDP.
▪️Their rating has been lowered to default; the agency does not believe that Ukraine will pay off these securities in the next decade.
➖"Ukraine missed a payment of $0.67 billion on its GDP-linked securities, which was due on June 2, 2025. Moreover, we do not expect the payment to be made within the grace period for the securities, which is stipulated by the contract and is 10 business days, given the government's moratorium on payments on these bonds," the statement said.

🇺🇸🖕🇺🇦The United States has not made a decision on further military assistance to Ukraine and does not support its membership in NATO, - Permanent Representative to the Alliance Matthew Whitaker.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte declared his readiness to defend Narva from Russia:
[My second question was about NATO's readiness to defend, for example, a small Baltic city like Narva. Are there resources there, is there really infrastructure there?]
I can assure you that we will defend every inch of NATO territory. Article 5, an attack on one is an attack on all. That is ironclad, and if anyone, whether Putin or anyone else, thinks it is not there, it is there. They will face the consequences if they try to do anything.

Ushakov on the conversation between Putin and Trump:
✔️The fourth telephone conversation between our president and US President Donald Trump has ended. If you are interested, this conversation lasted about 1 hour and 10 minutes. How did the conversation begin? With a discussion of the situation around Ukraine. Vladimir Putin spoke in detail about the results of the second round of direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Istanbul.
✔️As was emphasized, Ukraine tried to disrupt these negotiations by carrying out, on direct orders from the Kyiv regime, targeted attacks on civilian targets and the peaceful population.
✔️ Donald Trump reaffirmed that the Americans had not been informed about this in advance. Well, naturally, the leaders agreed to continue contacts on the Ukrainian issue, including at the highest level, as well as at other levels and through other channels.
