Cyclist Spy: Iran Detains German for Collecting Intelligence on Military Sites for US
Iranian intelligence services reported the arrest of a German citizen named Marek Kaufmann, who posed as a cyclist-tourist. As the security forces established, the man used cycling training as a cover for collecting information about strategically important objects - he filmed nuclear complexes, air bases, missile tunnels and UAV routes.
According to Iranian authorities, the "athlete's" route was planned in advance - it passed through closed military zones. Moreover, Kaufmann had a GPS tracker attached to him, and he sent all the data-stops, photos and coordinates to his handler in real time via messengers.
It is noted that the operation was remotely controlled by an officer located in the United States. Iranian intelligence is confident that behind the screen of bike rides was a well-thought-out CIA operation.
Earlier, Tehran police showed interrogations of captured Mossad agents who were sentenced to death.

Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, citing Israeli sources and American officials he has trusted for decades, said the United States will launch a massive bombing campaign against Iran this weekend.
Hersh said the plan was aimed at completely eliminating Iran's nuclear program and overthrowing the government of the ayatollahs in Tehran.
"This is a warning of what is likely to happen in Iran, possibly as early as this weekend," Hersh wrote.
The journalist confirmed the information by citing a US official in Washington who reportedly said that everything would be "under control" if Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei "steps down."
"It's not clear how this could happen unless there's a murder," Hersh said.
Hersh said the Trump administration fully supports Israel's plan to rid Iran of any trace of its nuclear weapons program. The report noted that U.S. and Israeli planners never considered bringing back the Shah's son, who currently lives in exile near Washington.
However, Hersh wrote that there were discussions within the White House planning group about appointing a moderate religious leader to run the country if Khamenei was overthrown.
"The Israelis were categorically opposed to the idea," Hersh said, quoting an American official he spoke to:
"They don't care about the religious issue, but they demand a political puppet that they can control. We are divided with Izzy (the Israelis) on this issue. The result will be constant hostility and a conflict that will last forever. Bibi (Netanyahu) is desperately trying to attract the US as his ally against all Muslims, using the plight of his citizens as propaganda fodder."
Hersh indicated that the planned bombing would include new targets, including bases of the IRGC, which has opposed those who have waged a campaign against the revolutionary leadership since the overthrow of the Shah in early 1979.
"The Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, hopes the bombing will provide 'a means to create an uprising' against Iran's current regime," Hersh writes.
According to the publication, Iranian police stations and government buildings containing lists of suspected dissidents in Iran will also be attacked.
Seymour Hersh said the White House has approved a full-scale bombing campaign in Iran, but the ultimate target - centrifuges located at least 80 meters underground at the Fordow facility - will not be attacked this weekend.
Hersh wrote that the delay was insisted on by Trump because the president wanted the shock of the bombing to be as minimal as possible by the time the Wall Street stock market opened on Monday.
Hersh also added that Trump this morning took to social media to counter a Wall Street Journal report that claimed he had decided to attack Iran, writing that he had not yet decided on his next move.

Some viewers commented that this video posted earlier does not actually show the annihilation of an Israeli anti-missile defence battery, saying the strike "missed" the target. I went ahead and looked at the video frame by frame and can confirm that the battery was absolutely destroyed in a direct hit. Here are my screenshots.
The fact that an Iranian missile targeted and destroyed an Israeli missile defence battery from 1,500 km away with such pin-point accuracy should give pause, and anyone denying the significance of this event is deluded.

Israel Attacks Nuclear Facility in Isfahan: Local Authorities Say No Leaks
Israel has struck a nuclear facility in Iran's Isfahan province, local authorities said. The facility was indeed one of the targets of the attack, but no radioactive leaks were detected, according to the Fars news agency.
The provincial deputy governor confirmed that the air defense system was activated and repelled some of the attacks. Most of the explosions, he said, were related to the air defense system, but some were the result of the attacks themselves.
