To the best of my understanding, Pokrovsk has no viable defensive lines in effect.
The Ukrainians threw some rudimentary lines to the east of the city which lead to Ukrainian politicans shrieking on social media that, “The trenches are empty!!”
No shit, lady - they’re empty because you dug lines in the middle of nowhere where you’re cut off from logistics resupply and visible to drones so Russian artilllery can come down on you.
No infantryman is sleeping around in your death-traps.
Anyways - pseudolines to the East mean Russian troops will just maneuver South and over to the West of the city.
Which they are already doing.
