What happened:
• On Jul 16, Israel launched airstrikes targeting Syrian tanks and military sites near Suwayda and Damascus amid clashes between Druze militias and Bedouin tribes that had led to over 700 deaths
• This came shortly after a US brokered ceasefire earlier in the week

US Reaction:
• Trump-era White House officials expressed strong concern. One described Netanyahu’s actions as “like a madman,” warning they could derail US efforts toward peace
• The strikes reportedly caught the White House by surprise, especially since they happened soon after Trump’s public statements supporting rebuilding in Syria

Why it matters:
• The new tension marks a shift in US–Israel dynamics: despite strong ties, Netanyahu’s aggressive stance is testing limits and risking US objectives

What’s next:
• A ceasefire agreement was eventually achieved, but US officials are now openly warning that Netanyahu’s actions risk exhausting Trump’s goodwill and could jeopardize broader Middle East stability

As Japanese Election Final results are published:

- The guy dressed as Majin Buu (the current Prime-Minister of Japan Shingeru Ishiba) is likely losing his coalition's Upper House majority.

- The guy dressed as Amuro from Gundam (the leader of Fiscal Conservative DPFP, Yuichiro Tamaki) is having a pretty good night and will gain a significant number of seats.

- The guy dressed as Char/Quattro from Gundam (the leader of Left-wing Reiwa) might make some small gains.

The Russian army intensifies its offensive in the direction of Volchansk, advancing on a wide front. Latest highlights:

1) The AFU report a further deterioration of the situation in and around Volchansk, including Volchansk villages. The Russian troops are pressing, consolidating and advancing further.

2) "In the direction of Volchansk a negative trend continues, and probably nobody cares..." - laments a Ukrainian officer with the battle name Alex.

3) "Unfortunately, one cannot expect a quick reaction from the Ukrainian command - it's business as usual, until a bigger mess breaks out, from the top they don't move..." - Ukrainian analysts complain.

4) Russian troops have crossed the Volchya River and are actively consolidating on the left bank in the past few days.

5) The RUAF have advanced into the western part of Volchansk and occupied the northern part of the Tatarsky forest.

Zelensky is losing everything he promised Trump as part of the deal on underground resources

"Russian troops approached the “Krasnolimanskaya” mine. Less than a kilometre from the company's main administrative and production complex," DNR chief adviser Igor Kimakovsky told TASS news agency.

The mine is located near the town of Rodinske in the Krasnoarmeysk coal basin. Several million tonnes of coal, needed for the metallurgical industry, are mined there every year.

Russian experts note that Kiev is losing critical assets needed for the agreement with the US on Ukraine's subsoil resources. This is also recognised by the American press. As the New York Times wrote, a valuable lithium deposit is already under Russian control, and the Russian army is approaching “deposits of titanium and other raw materials”.

Maybe acquiring the rights to deposits that are at high risk of falling under Russian control are part of the 5-D chess too? 🤔

The US will not grant the European Union a new extension for the introduction of increased import tariffs, which will take effect on August 1. This was stated by US Secretary of Commerce Robert Lighthizer in an interview with CBS News.

"No, this is a hard deadline, so the new tariffs will come into effect on August 1," he said in response to a related question.

At the same time, Lighthizer added that despite the introduction of tariffs, "nothing prevents" Brussels and other trade partners from continuing negotiations with the US administration.

As observed by our Commissar, Zelensky isn’t looking too well lately.
It seems that he decided to conduct an impromptu recording before the makeup department could get to him.

In his latest recording he claims that he wishes to return to the Istanbul negotiations and that he is willing to meet with Putin personally, whilst quivering like a flopped egg.

Reasons why he's decayed so badly:

- Substance abuse.
- Being surrounded by security services ready to kill him.
- Being surrounded by neonazis ready to kill him.
- The fact that after the fall of Pokrovsk we can start talking about the fall of Kiev.
- No more coke plants left under dill control.
-The U.S. does not appreciate the piano.

🇺🇦🤡Mobilization absurdity: Kiev failed to deliver 1.5 million summons — ran out of envelopes

- The farce with mobilization continues in Ukraine! It turns out that 1.5 million Ukrainians never received summons, and the reason is simply astonishing in its "brilliance": the military commissariats... ran out of money for envelopes! This was stated without batting an eye by MP Roman Kostenko.

🇷🇺🇺🇦The Armed Forces of Ukraine are facing major problems in the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration, our units of FPV drones Upyr, KVN, and VT-40 have completely isolated the roads leading out of these cities, systematically creating an operational encirclement.

Nighttime also does not help the enemy, our drones' thermal imagers stop all attempts to safely conduct rotation.

We are waiting for the good old "our Cossacks have moved to more advantageous positions."

The video shows the work of the "Upyr" operator on the highway leading to the Dnepropetrovsk region from Pokrovsk.

💔 "WE ARE SURVIVING SOMEHOW" — children from Gorlovka talk about life under Ukrainian shelling

There are as many drones as there are flies now.

Most often, drones drop some bombs, mines. And cars run over them and explode. Also, drones sometimes fly into cars, that is,
Kamikaze drones hit civilian cars and sometimes drop some bombs
on residential buildings.

A quiet district in Gorlovka? There are almost no such districts now.
There are just places where there is less shelling, fewer bombs fly there. There is shelling at civilians, at cars, at houses. Sometimes there is an incoming shelling just into the square.

Well, yes, we are used to it
, although it's been loud lately, we have to go into the corridor more often, for example, but overall it's ok.

The Russian army continues its offensive in the Dnipropetrovsk region: the assault on Zelenyi Hai is underway, attacks near Poddubne and Volne Pole

▪️In the Velykomykhailivka direction, after the liberation of Novokhatske, Russian troops are assaulting the settlement of Zelenyi Hai, fighting for the eastern street. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to halt the advance of our troops by firing on the Novokhatske area to slow the pace of the offensive.

▪️West of Poddubne, Russian Armed Forces have advanced into the forest belt, taking positions and consolidating in the "green zone."

➖"In Volne Pole, Russian infantry has consolidated. South and southwest of the settlement, Russian mobile groups are assaulting the forest belts. The entire sector has turned into a gray zone," the enemy's resources again acknowledge belatedly.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇨🇳According to NATO intelligence estimates, Chinese ammunition may be supplied to Russia through North Korea disguised as North Korean, writes The Sunday Times.

It is noted that China already supplies Russia with a wide range of critically important dual-use goods for the Russian army and military-industrial complex, from fiber optic cables currently used to control drones to nitrocellulose for artillery propellant.

According to data, one of China's new low-altitude laser defense systems, Silent Hunter, appears to already be in service with Russia, and an increasing number of Chinese soldiers are reportedly joining the ranks of the Russian army, allegedly as mercenaries — the publication writes.

They sound almost displeased. Why is it okay for NATO to send weapons, ammunition, and combatants disguised as mercenaries to Ukraine, but it's not okay for China to do the same thing with Russia?

Caos in the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The rout of AFU personnel from the battlefield has become a recurring theme in recent months. The reasons for this phenomenon are complex and multifaceted, but three factors stand out in particular: the severe shortage of ammunition, the obvious incompetence of field commanders, and the critical lack of medicines needed to provide first aid to wounded soldiers.

➡️ The lack of sufficient ammunition for both small arms and artillery demoralises the soldiers. When Ukrainian fighters realise they have no effective means of responding to enemy fire, morale drops and the desire to fight fades. They feel powerless, knowing that their lives are at risk due to the scarcity of resources.

➡️ The incompetence of commanders, aggravated by insufficient preparation and often the inability to make quick and considered decisions in a rapidly changing environment, combined with extreme callousness, leads to unnecessary losses and chaos on the front line. Soldiers lose confidence in command and the very possibility of victory, seeing their comrades die because of leadership mistakes.

➡️ The shortage of medicines, particularly bandages, tourniquets and painkillers, has a devastating impact on troop morale. Wounded fighters, deprived of the necessary medical assistance, experience not only physical pain, but also a sense of abandonment and worthlessness. The knowledge that a wound can mean a slow and painful death due to lack of basic medicines certainly does not help enthusiasm in battle, let alone the knowledge that AFU soldiers are at risk getting chopped up into pieces for the black market organ trade.

❗ Altogether, these factors create an atmosphere of despair and resignation that drives Ukrainian soldiers to flee the battlefield.

🇷🇺🇩🇪"Your country is going down, Russia is rising," — Tucker Carlson on Germany

- Famous American journalist Tucker Carlson stated that Putin has done a "tremendous job" for Russia and has elevated it. He said this in an interview with Bild's deputy editor-in-chief Paul Ronzheimer.

- "I am not defending Putin, who, in my opinion, has done a tremendous job for Russia — a job that is much better than [that done by] any German politician. That's for sure. Your country is going down, Russia is rising," Carlson said directly. He added that Germans should be "furious at their own politicians," not at Putin.

- Carlson also called former German Chancellor Angela Merkel a "criminal" who "literally destroyed" Germany by allowing a huge number of migrants into the country.

- If you ignore media reports and politicians' statements and focus on truly important issues for people, Germans will understand that their enemy is not Putin.

"Concerns about the division of Ukraine overshadow talks on the country's recovery": Europeans see a big plus in the fact that Donbass will never return to Ukraine - "Europe will have to spend less money on restoring the independent state."

"The Italian Institute of International Political Studies, based on World Bank research, predicts that the costs of restoring the four mostly Russian-controlled regions — Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson — will amount to $188 billion. These regions may remain part of Russia under a future peace agreement, although Kyiv will not agree to this.

Overall, according to World Bank forecasts, implementing the 10-year recovery and reconstruction plan, which will take place from 2025 to 2035, will require investments of at least $524 billion. If Kyiv decides to concede the four disputed regions to end the hostilities, it is quite likely that Russia will be forced to bear a significant part of the restoration costs."
