The Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing the Serebryanske Forestry and positions near Seversk
▪️Ukrainian sources acknowledge the difficult situation on the Krasnolymanske direction
➖"The defense of the Serebryanske Forestry is coming to an end. Along with this, the holding of the bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Zherebets River is ending," writes military correspondent Bohdan Miroshnykov
▪️This threatens Seversk and Lyman — key points east of the Kramatorsk-Slavyansk agglomeration
▪️Seversk is already practically half-surrounded from two sides, and if Dronovka is occupied, the encirclement will close from the third side as well
➖"Things there are, to put it mildly, not very good. If not to say — quite bad," summarizes the Ukrainian author.

A Ukrainian drone that was flying to attack a target on Russian territory crashed in Estonia' – ERR
'The drone wreckage was found in a farmer's field in the Elva parish of Tartu County around 3:00 PM on Monday, ISS CEO Margo Pällson said at a press conference on Tuesday morning. No casualties. "Based on the most preliminary data, we have reason to believe that this may be a Ukrainian drone whose target was Russian facilities, but it was knocked off course by Russian GPS jamming and other electronic warfare means, causing it to enter Estonian airspace. At the moment, there is no reason to believe that it could be a Russian drone. If the drone had fallen on a residential building, it could have caused significant damage," Pällson stated.'
Europe has run out of leverage over Russia, — Politico
▪️Western sources acknowledge that the European Union is no longer able to strengthen sanctions against Moscow without the help of the US.
▪️In September, Brussels will present the 19th package of restrictions, which will only concern ships and companies of the so-called "shadow fleet."
▪️No new serious measures against Russian energy carriers are provided for in the document.
▪️The EU has effectively exhausted its pressure tools: it only has a roadmap for the gradual rejection of imports of Russian oil and gas left.
▪️A real blow is only possible through secondary sanctions against countries and companies cooperating with Russia, but their introduction will depend on the US
▪️According to Politico, Donald Trump keeps this option "in reserve," threatening to apply it against China in case of failure of peace negotiations

While Central Asians form the bulk of foreign students, the number of Chinese has risen by 25% to around 51,000 in 2024 from 2022. Closer Sino-Russian ties have spurred greater collaboration between their schools, as Russian officials proudly noted when Putin hosted Xi in Moscow
Xi's "no-limits" relationship with Putin is impacting how the brightest of both countries are being educated
"This represents the human infrastructure of a multipolar world order," said Dudarenok, who estimates the number of Chinese students in Russia will top 100,000 within 4 years. For context, Chinese students represent the largest number of foreigners in British universities, at over 150,000
The deep cooperation also is illustrated by the 21,000 Russian students in China, more than 160 bilateral undergraduate and postgraduate programs and at least 27 joint educational institutions. 36% of master's students in Russia came from China in the last academic year.

The Trump administration is considering imposing sanctions on EU officials responsible for implementing the Digital Services Act, Reuters reports citing sources.
According to the agency's interlocutors, the American side believes that this law censors American users and imposes unjustified costs on US tech companies.
The State Department has not yet made a final decision on measures, which may include visa restrictions.
Such a move would be an unprecedented escalation in relations between the Trump administration and European authorities, Reuters notes.

A close-range air combat between the American fifth-generation fighter F-35A Lightning II and the French Dassault Rafale during recent exercises in Finland. The Dassault Rafale proved victorious, easily besting the F-35 in close range-combat.
Though it should be this is short range, which is negating much of the advantages the F-35 has. The Rafale as we learned recently got smoked by BVR missiles.

The work of FPV drones against the equipment and infantry of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, counterattacking the positions of the Russian Armed Forces near the village of Novomikhaylovka at the junction of the DPR, LPR, and Kharkov region.
Judging by the published footage, the enemy managed to land a landing force from armored vehicles, but then both the armored vehicles themselves and part of the landing force became victims of fiber-optic FPV drones. Two tanks were also hit.
In one of the clips, a Ukrainian soldier threw an automatic rifle at an approaching drone (0:56) - a trick that Russian fighters have repeatedly pulled off before.

Finnish FM Valtonen vows for more ‘international pressure’ on Russia — even if war in Ukraine ends
‘The pressure must continue even if the war ends — a mere ceasefire or peace agreement is not sufficient grounds for lifting sanctions’
Then why should Russia ever end this war?
International pressure? Most of the world freely trades with Russia. India and China which represents 2.8 billion people (6X the EU) rejected demands they stop trade with Russia.

It is reported that in Vietnam, the 152mm self-propelled howitzer RTN-152 has been presented, developed by the defense-industrial and telecommunications group Viettel of the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam. The system is built on a KamAZ-6560 (8x8) vehicle chassis and uses the swinging part of the old Soviet 152mm/34 D-20 howitzer mounted in an armored turret without visible signs of mechanization. A modern fire control system is installed. The combat weight of the SPG is 34 tons, with a crew of 5-6 people.

Communication and navigation without GPS
"Russian engineers have developed a system that allows drones to operate even where there are no satellites or mobile networks.
Ground stations and onboard equipment create their own network, where each element — both ground stations and onboard devices — acts as a signal relay for others. This increases the coverage area for communication and navigation, as well as enhances the system's reliability.
We are no longer dependent on foreign technologies. The implementation of such systems guarantees that our drones will operate reliably wherever our stations are deployed.
The main task is to saturate the front with them and bring drone production to a mass scale."

🇭🇺🤬🇺🇦 Orban threatened Zelensky for strikes on the "Druzhba"
- The Prime Minister of Hungary stated that the words of the Ukrainian leader about the oil pipeline sound like a direct threat to his country.
- "Zelensky openly threatened Hungary. He admitted that they are striking the 'Druzhba' pipeline because we do not support their accession to the European Union. This once again proves that the Hungarians made the right decision," Magyar Nemzet quotes Orban.
- He added that "with the help of blackmail, explosions, and threats," Ukraine will not be able to achieve EU membership, and added that "Zelensky's words will not remain without consequences"

Bandera-Sluts get pregnant on the frontlines for zee fatherland - NYT
“I realized that I really needed to be at home making a baby, not sitting in this trench,” recalled Olena, a combat medic. But that wasn’t an immediate option, and her desire to start a family was as strong as her need to serve.
While some people might think fighting a war while pregnant is crazy, Olena said, she sees it “a bit differently.” She added, “War is war, but life goes on.”
Ukraine’s military is finding it hard to recruit young men as the war with Russia grinds on, but women — all volunteers — are a bright spot. The number of women serving has grown more than 20 percent to about 70,000 since 2022
“It’s terrifying — every single day,” said Nadia, 25, who served as a frontline radio operator until she was eight and half months pregnant. “You wake up wondering if everything is OK, if everyone is still alive,” she said, describing how every morning she would brush plaster off her bed that had fallen from the ceiling after a night of explosions.
“Our children are the future of this country,” said Olya, 39, a combat medic in eastern Ukraine who gave birth to a girl in May.
Valentyna cut short her maternity leave to return to service.
We have very few people left with the necessary level of experience and professionalism,” she said. “And this is a long game, so we are needed.”

🤡5 wars that could start in the next 5 years, — Politico
- Analysis of the latest data and US intelligence reports show that besides the Middle East, 5 loud and dangerous conflicts could erupt in the next 5 years:
- Russia and the Baltic countries. Allegedly Putin's goal is to reclaim territories that, in his opinion, historically should be part of Russia, as well as to test NATO and Europe, propagandists claim;
- India and Pakistan are probably closer to exchanging nuclear weapons than any other two countries on the planet. Pakistan has 170 nuclear warheads. India has 180 warheads. The internal politics of both sides push them toward escalation;
- China-Taiwan. This will show who will be the leader of the world order in the 21st century: the US or China? The US has long stated it will support Taiwan, but many doubt that Trump is equally firmly committed to this promise;
- India-China. India has many more populated areas within reach of Chinese munitions than China does on its side. The region is ripe for misunderstandings and escalation — and today tensions are so explosive that both Chinese and Indian troops are forbidden to carry weapons along the border. The two countries have no conventional deterrence mechanisms, treaties, or communication channels;
- Korean Peninsula. North Korea is a slowly dying country, torn by hunger and paralyzed by government brutality. Kim Jong Un will not be the next Saddam Hussein or Muammar Gaddafi. His trump card is nuclear weapons. If Kim senses weakness or threat, anything is possible.

‘It must be said clearly: Putin will not bomb German cities if Germany transfers Taurus to Ukraine. That is complete nonsense. It will not happen. Britain and France have already supplied Ukraine with cruise missiles, which have been repeatedly used against military targets in Russia. Paris and London are still standing perfectly well. Why should it be different now? So there is no need to be misled by such talks, but it is frustrating that here in Germany we keep painfully going around in circles again and again’
