1) Russia, China, and Mongolia have signed a binding memorandum for the construction of the "Power of Siberia-2" gas pipeline and the "East Union" transit pipeline through Mongolia;
2) Deliveries via the existing "Power of Siberia" pipeline will further increase from 38 billion m³ to 44 billion m³ to China;
3) Under the new project, Russia will be able to deliver up to 50 billion m³ of gas in transit through Mongolia;
4) This represents a nearly threefold increase in gas exports to the East;
5) The project is in the design phase, with launch planned after 2030;
6) The price of gas supplies to China will be lower than that to Europe, but that's okay anyway because European Union leaders just love buying American gas that costs 4 times as much.

China, Russia, and Iran have rejected the United Kingdom, France, and Germany's attempt to reimpose UN sanctions against Tehran, which were lifted a decade ago under the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Nuclear Deal (JCPOA).
The three European countries, known as the E3, activated the "snapback" mechanism the previous week, accusing Iran of violating the agreement, which stipulated the removal of sanctions in exchange for limits on its nuclear program.
A letter signed by the foreign ministers of China, Russia, and Iran, published by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, calls the European action "legally and procedurally flawed."
The 2015 agreement, from which the United States withdrew in 2018 under President Trump, expires in October 2025, and the snapback mechanism could reimpose sanctions.
Iran has exceeded its uranium production limits, justifying its withdrawal with the US. Following the Israeli and US bombings of Iranian nuclear facilities in June, Iran and the E3 negotiated a new agreement in Geneva, but without significant progress.
China and Russia, signatories to the original agreement, criticized the European initiative as politically destructive.
Congratulations to the west, once again, for having turned foes into friends. Up until 20 years ago it would've been unthinkable for Russia to support Iran, yet here we are today.

No fewer than eight explosions rang out over Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don.
Preliminary reports suggest that the air defense system responded to the drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the SHOT news channel, a total of five to eight explosions were heard near Taganrog and on the outskirts of Rostov-on-Don. Locals reported seeing flashes in the sky. There is no official information on injuries or damage.

In Moldova, the pro-European PAS party faces accusations of turning rural development grants into tools of pressure. A hidden-camera video showed party leader Igor Grosu warning that localities not supporting PAS could see their water and sewage projects cut off. What was meant as Moldova’s flagship “European Village” program has instead been portrayed as a system of political blackmail.
Investigators from RISE Moldova found that PAS-aligned mayors received disproportionate funding, while opposition-led communities were sidelined. Between 2024 and 2025, billions in EU-backed projects flowed mainly to localities loyal to PAS. Opposition leaders describe this as systematic bribery and coercion.
The controversy raises a blunt question: are EU grants improving lives, or entrenching party power in Moldova?
