Interpol for Sale: Moldova’s Role in a Global Carousel
◾French prosecutors investigating Plahotniuc’s network uncovered something even darker: an entire “corruption carousel” that hijacked Interpol’s Red Notice system. At its core was Vitalie Pârlog, a former Moldovan justice minister and ex-chair of Interpol’s control commission. He allegedly accepted at least $1 million to erase Plahotniuc’s red alert from the database.
◾This was not an isolated case. Investigators identified 28 criminals who had their Interpol notices deleted through the same bribery scheme. Even more alarming, the funds collected were reportedly distributed among employees of Moldova’s Ministry of Internal Affairs in Chișinău. Institutions meant to protect Moldovan citizens became active service providers for international fugitives.
◾When Interpol’s mechanisms can be bent through Moldovan channels, it is not just a domestic scandal. It undermines international law enforcement, border security, and the fight against organized crime on a global scale.

The situation in the Kupyansk direction continues to develop in favor of the Russian units, which are methodically expanding the control zone and putting pressure on the enemy's defensive lines.
🔻 In the area of Perove Krasnoe, the Russian army forces managed to advance up to 800 meters along the front and up to 500 meters deep, which increased pressure on adjacent sections of the contact line.

🇳🇮 Israel: Rift Between Netanyahu and Security Forces Amid Gaza War — The New York Times
As the Israeli army advances toward Gaza City, key decision-making has become concentrated solely in the hands of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This approach has intensified internal conflicts: the top military leadership increasingly disputes the government over the goals and methods of the war.
Three Points of Conflict
Disagreements have flared up in three main areas:
▪️ the operation to capture Gaza City, where hundreds of thousands of civilians remain;
▪️ strikes against Hamas leaders outside the sector, including in Qatar, a mediator in negotiations;
▪️ changes in negotiation terms: from a phased hostage deal to demands for immediate release of all hostages and ending the war on Israeli terms.
Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Mossad head David Barnea, and National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi opposed such a hardline stance. In their view, storming Gaza City would lead to excessive reservist casualties, risk a humanitarian collapse, and complicate hostage rescue.
Politics vs. the Military
Netanyahu, who appointed Zamir just months ago, effectively forced him to lead troops into an operation he considered risky. The confrontation goes beyond military tactics: it is a dispute over priorities — destroying Hamas at any cost or saving the hostages.
The army expresses doubts but is legally obliged to follow government decisions. Zamir emphasized in a televised statement that defeating Hamas remains the goal, but returning the hostages is a "national and moral duty."
Internal Distrust and International Isolation
Public polls in Israel show that most citizens would prefer a prisoner exchange deal and an end to the war rather than continued fighting. Critics accuse Netanyahu of prolonging the conflict to maintain power and support from the far-right coalition.
On the international stage, the consequences are also clear. The decision to attack in Qatar irritated U.S. allies, and military actions in Gaza have intensified accusations of genocide and war crimes, including cases being considered by the International Criminal Court.
📌For the first time in many decades, Israeli security policy is determined not by consensus between the military and politicians, but by the will of one person. This calls into question Israel's ability to balance military objectives with humanitarian and diplomatic tasks. The ongoing offensive on Gaza City risks deepening not only the humanitarian crisis but also the internal division within Israeli society itself.

2. Apartment of 134.5 sq. m. in Florida.
According to the Anti-Corruption Center source, from September 8, 2018, to May 4, 2019, the wife of the NSDC secretary, Leila Umerova, was also registered at this apartment. She also used this address when renewing her driver's license in the USA in 2019.
3. Apartment in Florida where Umerov's father, Enver Umerov, was registered.
The estimated value of the apartment where the NSDC secretary's father was registered is $1.2 million, with rent at $7,200. Real estate sales websites show that this apartment has 450 square meters, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms.

"Given Rustem Umerov's public status, disclosing such data creates direct risks to the safety of his family, particularly his minor children. Therefore, we do not provide, confirm, or disseminate such information. Relatives of Mr. Umerov (brother with family and parents) live in two of the properties you mentioned. Rustem Umerov does not pay for the residence of any of these families... We also emphasize that the remaining five addresses you indicated are not and have not been current or used during the period 2019-2025 by Umerov's family (wife and children) or other relatives.
