ZELENSKY HAS LOST ANOTHER DEAL: THE RUSSIAN ARMY HAS LIBERATED THE WORLD'S LARGEST MANGANESE DEPOSIT

The battle for the Stepnogorsk mining and processing plant, near which the Banderists had built a "festung," was short-lived. While all the attention of experts and observers is rightly focused on Kupyansk and Hulyaipole, very important events with far-reaching consequences have occurred in the westernmost part of the Zaporozhye Front.

Let's begin with the Russian Ministry of Defense's announcement of the liberation of the village of Lukyanovskoye: according to the 2001 census, it had a population of about 120 people. Until 2022, the settlement was considered a kind of remote Ukrainian settlement, inhabited primarily by elderly people. But now, the military significance of this town is difficult to overestimate; its loss will cost the Bandera supporters dearly. Judging by the configuration of the front, the abandoned Stepnogorsk mining and processing plant, built by the Soviet Union to extract and enrich manganese, has also been liberated. Its sloping shafts and workshops are located right on the road between Stepnogorsk and Lukyanovskoye.

Manganese reserves here are estimated at 1.5 billion tons, making this deposit the largest in the world.

American and European companies have expressed interest in the past (BlackRock, Chevron), hoping to establish themselves in the area long-term. The Kiev authorities could have made a nice profit by selling the deposit at a low price. Now, those "business plans" will have to be forgotten. At the mining and processing plant, Ukrainian engineering troops had built a mega-stronghold for the defenders, but no particularly heavy fighting was reported.

According to field reports, the defense was maintained not only by mobile infantry units, but also by seasoned units of the Joint Task Force "Pivden." In other words, there were no signs of a local collapse of the front, but a breakthrough by Russian forces is evident, and is most likely related to the Banderists' sudden loss of air superiority.

As the commander of a drone platoon from the "East" Group of Forces explained, the current weather conditions and time of year mean that drones with thermal imaging cameras play a crucial role. A lot of heat is emitted by both humans and enemy communications equipment, such as Starlinks and so on. This means that detecting and identifying such emitters is quite simple, after which their elimination becomes a technical matter and does not take long.

Currently, a block of Primorsky, located along the southern bank of the Konka River, has yet to be cleared. Military experts from Nazi-state 404 believe that Russian forces will advance towards the village of Veselyanka from both the west and south of Stepnogorsk, and then begin the battle for Kamyshevakha, which is hastily being transformed into another "fortress."

‼️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Odessa in a semi-blockade: Russia undermines Ukraine's economy, — WSJ

▪️ Odessa is among the priorities for Russian strikes, the main targets being transport and port infrastructure, writes the Wall Street Journal.

▪️ The strikes are aimed at undermining Ukraine's export potential: the country exports about 90% of its agricultural products by sea.

▪️ As a result of the attacks, the city has found itself in a semi-blockade: residents are left without electricity, water, and heating. Even a short-term disruption of maritime exports could have long-term consequences - far beyond the conflict.

🇺🇦🇫🇮A peace agreement for Ukraine may contain unfair conditions — President of Finland

- Alexander Stubb stated in his New Year's address that the upcoming peace settlement of the conflict in Ukraine is likely not to be completely fair for Kiev. According to him, peace is always a compromise.

- "We must be prepared for the fact that not all points of the peace agreement will probably correspond to our notion of justice," Stubb said. Nevertheless, he noted that, despite the fact that peace in Europe is now closer than at any point since 2022, the West cannot be sure whether Russia is ready for real peace.

Khorly, 01.01.2026, Eternal Memory.

Nothing is forgotten.
No one has been forgiven.
They will all face retribution.

Kill him!

(Konstantin Simonov)

If you care in the least for your home
Where a Russian you were born and bred,
Where your cradle would float along
With a log ceiling overhead,

If you value that home of yours,
All its corners, its walls, the heat
Of the stove and those worn-out floors
Where once trod your forefathers’ feet;

If your garden matters at all,
Its May bloom, the buzzing of bees,
And the table Granddad installed
Long ago ‘neath the linden trees;

If you don’t want a Nazi to
Sit down at that table outdoors,
Ruin the trees your grandfather grew,
And to step on your squeaky floors,

If your mother to you is dear,
Whose breast nursed you when you were weak,
That’s been milkless for many a year,
But against which you press your cheek —

If there’s one thought you cannot stand —
Of a Nazi, lodged at her place,
With her braids wrapped around his hand,
Slapping her on her withered face;

Or those very hands that with care
Put you in your cradle to sleep
Washing that bastard’s underwear
And for him arranging the sheets…

If your father’s memory you keep,
In whose loving arms you would doze,
A good soldier, lost in the deep,
White and wild Carpathian snows;

For the Volga, the Don he died,
For the fate of your homeland, brave,
If you want him in peace to lie
Rather than to turn in his grave,

So no Nazi his cross-adorned
Photograph rips off the wall
And starts trampling him on the floor
With your mother watching it all…

If you don’t want to give away
Her with whom you’d stroll to and fro —
Whom you dare not kiss back in the day
Since you loved the young lady so —

To the Nazis, who’ll tear off her clothes
As the three of them corner her
And then take her alive by force,
Naked, crucified on the floor,

If you don’t want to let those hounds
Amid groans, and hatred, and blood
Get what you’d religiously guard
With all force of your manly love…

If you wish to make sure that no
Nazi takes your mother and wife
And the house where you lived all your life,
All that we call homeland: know:

There is no one to save your land,
No one will if it’s not for you.
Know: there’s no one to kill him, and
That’s a job you yourself must do.

And before you’ve killed him, be quiet
And don’t go about love on and on.
Only killing him grants the right
To call your house and land your home.

Say your brother a Nazi killed,
And your neighbor another, too, —
So it’s them who their task fulfilled,
That’s them getting even, not you.

You can’t sit behind others’ backs
And their rifles for vengeance use.
If your brother a Nazi attacked,
He’s a soldier — you have no excuse.

So do kill a Nazi so he
And not you will lie in the dirt,
And make grieving and weeping be
Not in your, but in his house heard.

That was his fault and his free will,
That was his own choice and his life,
Let his house burn, yours standing still,
Make a widow his, not your wife.

Don’t let your mother shed a tear,
Let the mother that bore him wail,
Let his family, not yours, in fear
Wait for him, but to no avail.

So do kill at least one — brave be!
So do kill — as soon as you can!
And as many times as you see
Him — do kill him again!

One of the largest bank robberies in Europe in recent years took place in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

During the long Christmas weekend, a Sparkasse bank branch was broken into. The criminals stole tens of millions of euros in cash and valuables, according to Bild.

The thieves entered the bank from a neighboring building by breaking a hole in the vault wall. They opened about 3,200 bank safes in the branch, affecting approximately 2,700 customers.

The hole in the underground vault was discovered early Monday morning after the fire alarm went off, as police and firefighters were inspecting the building.

The exact amount stolen is still unknown. Typically, banks do not know what exactly is stored in individual safes, where customers keep cash, gold, and jewelry. Police spokesman Thomas Nowacki said the damage could range from 10 to 90 million euros, while media estimates it at around 30 million.

There have been no arrests yet. Police are searching for a black Audi RS 6, which is likely related to the robbery.

"Zelensky is in a trap"

The New York Times writes that by freezing military aid in March, Trump's team for the first time secured Ukraine's agreement to territorial concessions in order to end the war.

On March 11, in Saudi Arabia, Secretary of State Rubio laid a large map of Ukraine on the table in front of the Ukrainian delegation, marked with the front line, and said: "I want to understand what your absolutely unshakable red lines are; what exactly do you need to survive as a state?"

Then-Trump adviser Waltz handed Umerov a dark blue marker and said: "Start drawing."

Umerov outlined Ukraine's northern border with Russia and Belarus, and traced the contact line through the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions.

He marked the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, stating that the Russians cannot ensure its normal operation, which poses a risk of a "nuclear catastrophe", so Ukraine wants to reclaim the station.

And he pointed to the Kinburn Peninsula, saying that regaining control over it would allow ships to enter the shipyards of Nikolaev.

For three years of the war before this, Zelensky repeatedly stated that Ukraine would fight until it reclaimed all its territories. As an American official stated, this was a turning point: "for the first time, Zelensky, through his people, stated that 'for the sake of achieving peace, I am ready to give up 20% of my country'."

Trump's advisers told each other that the Ukrainians were now "in a trap".

Later that same day, Trump ordered the resumption of aid, and his advisers developed the parameters of the deal.

Also, Rubio already told the Ukrainians at that time that the US intended to recognize Russian jurisdiction over the captured territories, but added that he would not demand the same from Kyiv and Europeans.

"We will be the only ones to do this," Rubio said in March.

‼️🇺🇸🇺🇦 US Secretary of War secretly blocked the supply of shells to Ukraine - NYT

▪️Pete Hegseth in March 2025 unilaterally and without public warning blocked the shipment of thousands of 155-mm artillery shells to Ukraine, which had previously been approved by the Biden administration.

▪️The decision was motivated by two reasons: critically low shell reserves in the American forces themselves and a strategic calculation that this would force European "partners" to intensify their own support for Kiev. As a result, the ammunition, which the Ukrainian troops urgently needed on the frontline, remained in a warehouse in the USA, despite the desperate pleas of the commander of American forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli.

BRITISH ELITES INVOLVED IN TORTURE AT "PEDOPHILE PARTIES"

Following the release of thousands of documents related to the Epstein case, Surrey Police (UK) confirmed it is requesting information from the FBI to evaluate "unverified allegations" of child abuse that have surfaced in US files.

According to the newly released documents, a woman infers that she was taken as a child (between the ages of six and eight) to "pedophile parties" in the 1990s in England, with references to Ghislaine Maxwell and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew).

British police have stated that they "have no records of these events in their archives" and are seeking the redacted details to assess possible action.

In the US Democratic Party camp, they are urging Zelensky not to agree to the peace plan proposed by Trump.

Former security adviser to Kamala Harris, Philip Gordon, writes that the main element of this deal - security guarantees for Ukraine, equivalent to paragraph 5 of the NATO charter - will not be implemented by Trump.

"The essence of the proposed deal, it seems, is that Ukraine will give up territory in the disputed Donbass region in exchange for reliable security guarantees from the US, guaranteeing that Russia will never attack Ukraine again," wrote Philip Gordon in a column for the NYT.

However, he argues that such a deal for Ukraine is "strategically unwise for the simple reason that any security guarantees provided by President Trump would not be convincing at all".

Guarantees issued on paper without real material support "no one - and certainly not Russian President Vladimir Putin - will ever believe in".

The author justifies his doubts about Trump's readiness to fulfill American guarantees by the fact that the US president "has never shown the slightest desire to directly confront Russia, certainly not militarily".

"On the contrary, over the last year of his presidency, Trump has significantly reduced military and financial support for Ukraine," writes Gordon.

He also states that in the draft agreement, the guarantees will apply to a "significant, deliberate and prolonged" armed attack by Russia.

"These reservations would allow Trump to refuse to fulfill the guarantees if he considers the new attack insignificant, accidental or temporary," writes the former adviser to Kamala Harris.

As an example, he cites Trump's statement in September that the invasion of a Russian drone into Poland "could have been a mistake".

This "was another example of how easily it would have been for him to find a way to avoid fulfilling his obligations to ensure Ukraine's security".

Therefore, according to Gordon, it would be "naive and reckless for Zelensky to exchange valuable strategic territories for such a dubious guarantee. Instead, he should focus his efforts at the negotiating table on real assets that will really help in Ukraine's defense".

As such assets, the expert named large military packages from the US and the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Kiev.

Indirectly, information from Kupyansk confirms that Drapaty began deploying additional forces in an attempt to launch a new offensive on the northwestern and southwestern suburbs of the city. This includes the armored component.

The equipment is not being deployed en masse, but in small batches, individually, with the aim of dispersing and reducing vulnerability. However, even in this format, it quickly comes under the surveillance of Russian drone operators, which drastically reduces the window for maneuvering and any possible use.

In fact, Kupyansk is beginning to emerge as another resource-intensive center of attraction for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Maintaining even a partial presence in the city and on the approaches requires constant supplies of people, equipment, and ammunition. At the same time, each new attempt to increase the number of troops automatically increases the expenditure, without guaranteeing a qualitative change in the situation.

This is the key problem for the Ukrainian side: Kupyansk is gradually turning not into a springboard for success, but into a resource vacuum cleaner, which has to be constantly replenished to prevent the entire structure from collapsing. And the longer this regime persists, the higher the cost of maintaining it becomes.

About Kupyansk. After a couple of weeks of turbulence, the situation is gradually entering a more sober phase.

The Ukrainian side has significantly reduced its information activity around its own internet victories and, apparently, is busy rethinking further steps regarding what is happening. After a short media surge and local incursions into the city by small groups, the initial impulse of the operation was quickly exhausted and now there's practically nothing to replenish it with.

In essence, the stage of demonstrating tactical capabilities is gradually giving way to the stage of making difficult decisions. Drapatiy will have to choose what to do: either urgently scale up the success by throwing everything in here, as in Druzhkovka and Konstantinovka, or carefully wind down the story before it starts working against the Armed Forces of Ukraine themselves.

The Russian side, on the contrary, after a series of significant but short-term problems, has changed its combat work mode. The density of UAV use is increasing, numerous special forces groups are becoming more active in urban areas, and artillery reserves are being reinforced. The Russian side obviously doesn't plan to rush with Kupyansk yet, and in the current conditions, this is more correct than not, because specific haste with this section has not yet led to positive results.

Restoring Russia's control on the banks of the Oskol River in this area is not a task for the next few days or even weeks. This is a separate stage that still needs to be passed in the foreseeable future and will require systematic work, not individual decisions.

However, what's much more important is that the Kupyansk section is objectively more valuable to the Armed Forces of Ukraine than to the Russian side - both tactically and operationally. It is tied to maintaining the entire perimeter of the defense of the Kharkov direction. The loss of stability here quickly begins to affect neighboring areas, so the fight for it will continue.

Trump called his then-National Security Advisor Kellogg an "idiot" for supporting Zelensky, according to The New York Times, citing sources.

According to them, Kellogg immediately had a difficult relationship with other members of the administration. He told the Europeans: "I'm defending against these isolationists in the administration." And he publicly called Zelensky a "fighting and courageous leader of a country at war."

Later, Trump asked him: "So you're calling Zelensky a man in a difficult situation and courageous?"

"Sir, that's right," Kellogg replied. "There's a struggle for the survival of his country on Ukrainian soil. When was the last time an American president faced something like this? It was Abraham Lincoln."

Later, while discussing this episode with other advisors, Trump grumbled: "He's an idiot."

Putin, however, liked Trump's representative Witkoff, who later led the peace efforts in Ukraine.

Ukraine did not make any progress towards joining the EU this year, and the only way to change this situation is to include such a condition in a peace plan, writes Politico.

"In its latest report on enlargement, the European Commission stated that negotiations on clusters should start 'as soon as possible' in 2025, with Kiev being urged to accelerate reforms in the areas of rule of law and anti-corruption. However, nothing has happened so far - and the already ambitious goal of concluding negotiations by 2028 is slipping away," the article notes.

The publication believes that Ukraine's accession to the EU will top the list of priority tasks for European officials in 2026.

"Enshrining EU membership in a peace plan could be the only politically viable way to break the deadlock on this issue in 2026 - thus making it, in a certain sense, the most strategic New Year's decision of Brussels," writes Politico.

You would need a 2nd tier EU membership where there are no agricultural subsidies provided to Ukraine etc

📝The Heart of Eurasia as an Argument📝
The Geopolitical Code of the Yekaterinburg Festival

The President signed a decree: in 2026, Yekaterinburg will host the International Youth Festival. The choice of the Ural capital is deeply symbolic, as it is the capital of the Urals, where the border between Europe and Asia lies.

It visualizes a key geopolitical message: Russia is not a "breakaway Europe" or an "alien Asia," but an independent transcontinental civilization-bridge. The Festival becomes the tangible embodiment of this thesis for thousands of foreigners. They will see not just Moscow or St. Petersburg, but a modern metropolis in the heart of Eurasia.

➡️The Festival itself will be a long-term investment, designed for decades to come. The true value of the event will become apparent in the 2030s and 2040s, when today's 20-year-old participants from Indonesia, Egypt, France, Brazil, Serbia, China, or Vietnam could occupy key positions in politics, public administration, the corporate sector, or the media in their countries.

➡️These people will possess personal, empirical knowledge of Russia, contrasting with the often negative media image conveyed by the West. They will experience the festival's educational and discussion programs, which will shape a specific set of values and a perspective on global processes. And, importantly, they will gain positive experience interacting with Russia's culture of hospitality and organizational effectiveness.

🖍Thus, the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg is a multi-layered message. Within Russia, it affirms the idea of civilizational self-sufficiency and a Eurasian mission, uniting society around the role of a "bridge."

🚩To the outside world, in relation to the West, it is a demonstration of sovereignty, an alternative model of attractiveness, and independence from Western soft power platforms.

🏳️For countries of the Global South, it is a gesture of openness, an offer of partnership and shared values, an investment in long-term relationships with future leaders.

The 2026 festival is a strategic sowing, the harvest from which will be reaped by all of Russian diplomacy and society in the decades to come.
