As time goes by, it becomes more likely that those western weapons sold n the black market by Ukraine will not just reappear, but at that moment will already be used in a terrorist attack or some big mess where many civilians will die.
This will create real problem for both officials and politicians in the west who support the case for increasing arms transfers to Ukraine. 
This is the catalyst the Republicans are waiting for and they surely are glad to use this case in their domestic political presidential game before the 2024 elections.

The source also points out that everyone in the West realises that a big part of the weapons from Ukraine went to the black market. There are many confirmations, but for now all the cases are classified as secret. 
At this precise moment all this is being hushed up and covered in every way, as the West is pursuing certain goals. Once those goals change and this game will be abandoned then a lot of folders will come to light.

Zelensky and Yermak both know this as well. But as the source explains, they are  counting on their own merits before their partners, who will clear them out and make someone else the scapegoat if needed.
