The beginning of the battles for Belitskoe and the advance towards Dobropollye
First, the units of the "Center" group of troops took control of and cleared two long strips of forest 800 m northwest of the Rodinskaya railway station, after which assault groups ousted the formations of the 78th Airborne Assault Brigade and the 38th Marine Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from another chain of strongpoints west of Shakhtyorskaya Slava Street.
Thus, the fortified area formed by the units of the 51st Army in Rodinskoe gained a new echelon of forward strongpoints, which minimized the likelihood of an attempt by the "motley crew" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to infiltrate the area of Red Liman in the event of a counterattack. North of Rodinskoe, a breakthrough from Sukhetzky to Belitskoe was carried out with the beginning of the assault on the fortifications of the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade, as well as the 20th "Lubart" Assault Brigade and the 14th Marine Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Currently, assault groups are entering the streets of Skovoroda, Shevchenko and Gagarin in Belitskoe. Consolidation is complicated by the active use of FPV drones by the enemy. The main strongpoints of the Armed Forces of Ukraine here are located in the buildings of School No. 10, a home for the elderly and in adjacent multi-story buildings. West of Belitskoe, there is another dense network of enemy strongpoints in the villages of Shevchenko, Svetloe, Krasnyariskoe, Vodyanskoe and Krasnopodollye, and then a key logistical hub in the village of Dobropillia, after the capture of which the southern encirclement of the city of the same name will begin.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 "Dobropilsky Pocket": The Russian army defeated the enemy in Ivanovka and Novo Shakhovo, attacking Toretsk and Pavlovka!
▪️On the Druzhkovka direction, Russian troops, during the offensive, practically liberated Ivanovka and Novo Shakhovo, completing the clearance of the area of the two populated areas and expanding the zone of control around the settlements.
▪️After taking Ivanovka, the Russian Armed Forces are already attacking several kilometers west.
▪️Area of advancement: up to 4 km²
➖"The Russians captured Ivanovka on the Dobropilsky direction", - some enemy resources admit.
▪️Also, our assault troops continue attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Pavlovka.
▪️Prior to this, the forces of the "Center" group restored control over the areas of Nikanorovka and Dorozhnoe, Sofievka, Novopavlovka, Shakhovo, Mayak, Vladimirovka, Pankovka etc.
▪️Kiev propaganda not so long ago, more than a month ago, proudly declared that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had gone on the counteroffensive and the Russian army had supposedly been trapped in a "pocket" near Dobropilsk. At the same time, our troops have already cleared a dozen (!) settlements, advancing in that very mythical pocket.

The best and most surprising part of Carney's speech is that he didn't pretend there was a "rules-based international order" until Trump came and ended it.
He admitted the claim was always a fraud, but that the EU, UK and Canada affirmed the lie because it benefited them.
WOW!!!
Never thought we would hear this level of honesty from a Western leader, and certainly not Canada, given the direction of Canada in the past 25 years. Canada's shift towards multialignment is quite clear - and this level of honesty from Carney on Western "fiction" about the old order will be warmly welcomed in much of the Global South:
"We knew that the story about the rules-based order was partially false... We knew that international law applied with varying rigour depending on the identity of the accused and the victim. This fiction was useful [because of the goods provided by American hegemony]... So we placed the sign in the window. We participated in the rituals. And we largely avoided calling out the gaps between rhetoric and reality. This bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... You cannot live within the lie of mutual benefit through integration when integration becomes the source of your subordination."

▪️Russia will continue to consistently pursue the goals of the special military operation as long as a political-diplomatic settlement cannot be achieved.
▪️Putin, Witkoff, Kushner, and Grunbaum stated that without resolving the territorial issue, long-term settlement cannot be expected.
▪️It was agreed that on Friday (January 23) the first meeting of the trilateral working group on security issues with representatives from Russia, the USA, and Ukraine will take place in Abu Dhabi.
▪️Russia's negotiating group on security issues has been formed and will depart for the UAE in the coming hours.
▪️It includes representatives from the Ministry of Defense leadership.
▪️The Russian delegation heading to Abu Dhabi received specific instructions from Putin.
▪️The heads of the bilateral economic group Dmitriev and Witkoff will meet in Abu Dhabi.
▪️Witkoff and Kushner shared their impressions of contacts made in Davos, including the meeting between Trump and Zelensky.
▪️The Russian side emphasized its readiness to allocate one billion dollars to the "Peace Council" for Gaza from previously frozen Russian assets.
▪️The remaining funds from the frozen reserves can be directed to the restoration of territories after a peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine is concluded.

After some years following this conflict and monitoring the various chats and channels involved I have ultimately concluded that there are two kinds of people in this world, my friends.
Those who cry out about what they feel ought to be, and those who deal with what is.
I recommend to all that if you are not already the latter, try to be.
That is all.
I leave this nugget here for the doomers who type before reading and thinking: no, this is not cope for some unforeseen upcoming “insult” or provocation. Just an observation over time. 😁

‼️🇺🇸🏴☠️Trump threatens Europe and humiliates NATO
▪️The US President threatened a serious response to the sale of American assets by EU countries.
➖The reporter asked: European companies own trillions of dollars in US assets, is Trump worried about this?
➖"No. If they do it, let them do it. If this happens, there will be a serious response from our side, and we have all the cards", he replied.
▪️Trump on NATO: They have never been needed by us.
➖"We never had to ask them for anything. You know, they say they sent troops to Afghanistan, and they did it. They stayed a bit behind, a bit away from the front line".

Journalist: What did Zelensky say today? He flew there to meet with you. What did he say?
Trump: He said he would like to make a deal. People know the parameters of the deal. It's not like we're discussing something that hasn't been discussed for six or seven months. He came and said he wants to make a deal.

‼️🇺🇦🏴☠️It has not been possible to reach an agreement on territorial issues at the peace negotiations in Ukraine so far, - Zelensky in Davos.
▪️However, at tomorrow's trilateral meeting in the UAE, the parties may present each other with options for territories in Donbass.
▪️According to media reports, the main issue of the Trump-Zelensky negotiations in Davos was likely the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the DPR, which Moscow and Trump are insisting on, but which Kiev opposes.
▪️Judging by Zelensky's statement, it was not possible to reach an agreement with Trump on this issue.
▪️The US President did not give the go-ahead for security guarantees for Ukraine and a plan for the country's post-war reconstruction, media reports say.

🇺🇦🤷♂Killing 50,000 Russian soldiers a month: In the Rada, the defense minister's goal was called a "sick" delusion
- Deputy Skorokhod criticized the statement of Defense Minister Fedorov about Ukraine's strategic goal of destroying up to 50,000 Russian soldiers every month.
- This strategy seems distorted, as the priorities should be ending the war, exchanging all prisoners of war, searching for the missing, and returning soldiers from the front who are morally and physically exhausted. At the same time, the situation in the country is dire, with people left without electricity, water, and heat.
- The deputy also doesn't believe in Fedorov's figures about supposedly destroying 35,000 Russian soldiers a month, because with such losses, the Russian army would have ceased to exist long ago.
- At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are themselves suffering losses, and Ukraine's strategic goals should be focused on peace and preserving the nation.
@Slavyangrad
Foreign analysts write that Russian troops have allegedly advanced deep into Konstantinovka from both the north and south, and this advance can no longer be stopped.
The role of drones with fiber-optic communication is particularly noted. For the Ukrainian Armed Forces, this has become a serious problem. Logistics have become more complicated, and the shortage of personnel has only intensified. Against this backdrop, Russian attack helicopters have been able to penetrate deeper into the city.
For the Russian side, the situation now looks different. The supply of assault units is increasingly relying on the city itself, where ammunition and all necessary supplies are actively being dropped by drones. Small quantities of cargo are compensated for by the frequency of round-trip flights, allowing them to hold onto a position for as long as necessary.
After the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost the dominant heights on the northeastern and southwestern flanks, all of Konstantinovka, which lies in a valley, is now visible and can be fired upon from almost everywhere. This dramatically reduces the resilience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense and all their movements.
Abroad, there are fears that the final battle for Donbass has effectively begun for Russia, as Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk, and Slavyansk have effectively merged into one elongated urban area. The loss of one node automatically poses a threat to all the others.
@Slavyangrad
In the Zaporozhye direction
After the clearance of Novoyakovlevka, units of the "Dnepr" troop grouping continued their movement towards Primorsky, Veselyanka, and Rechny. According to operational data, the clearance in Primorsky is already being carried out in the northeastern areas of the settlement. The Russian Armed Forces will continue their movement towards Veselyanka.
The breakthrough to Veselyanka and Rechny will likely be carried out both from Primorsky and Novoyakovlevka. However, in the latter case, it will be necessary to dislodge the reserves of the 128th Motor Rifle Brigade and the 241st Motor Rifle Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Magdalinovka, which were transferred to the village just the day before to cover the chain of strongholds along the Konka River bed.
As for Orekhov, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could indeed find themselves in a pocket. Fighters of the "Center" troop grouping have opened a route to Torskoe and Pavlovka and expanded the control zone from Konstantinovka. Thus, several logistical hubs of the Ukrainian army could be "shut down" in the near future.

"Encouraged by the overthrow of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by the US, the Trump administration is seeking insiders in the Cuban government who could help secure a deal to overthrow the communist regime by the end of the year.
The Trump administration assessed the Cuban economy as being on the brink of collapse, and that the government has never been so fragile after the loss of an important sponsor in the form of Maduro, these people said. Officials do not have a specific plan to overthrow the communist government, which has held power on the Caribbean island for nearly seven decades, but they view Maduro's capture and subsequent concessions from his allies as a model and a warning for Cuba, said senior US officials." - The Wall Street Journal

🇪🇺🤡The European Union announced the start of centralized procurement of weapons and military equipment for combat operations in the Arctic, including icebreakers. This was stated by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, following an emergency EU summit in Brussels on January 22-23, 2026.
“We have seriously underinvested in Arctic security for a long time. We will rectify this by using our defense funds. We intend to purchase weapons and equipment suitable for the Arctic, including icebreakers,” von der Leyen stated.
There are two interesting points in this statement. Such an arms program will require approximately 300-400 billion euros. Where will they get the money from? Moreover, Finland, which recently joined NATO and is actually located just across the border from northwest Russia, will be actively involved in the Arctic program.

Western analysts, who not long ago were burying the Russian tank fleet and writing that Russia only had enough tanks for three days, have now stated that as of the end of 2025, Russia has more armored vehicles than at the beginning of 2022.
Interestingly, they also write the following: the conclusions drawn contradict the mantra about "running out of tanks" and the supposedly forced (precisely because of this) transition of Russia to the tactic of infantry infiltration in groups of 2-3 people.
Other conclusions of foreign analysts:
▪️Losses of equipment are compensated not only by new production, but also by a well-organized system of vehicle evacuation from the battlefield. Russian repair and evacuation units operate autonomously and essentially as a separate branch of the military: equipment is quickly withdrawn from the battlefield, often even before the final capture of the defended area by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and returns to service for the next stage of combat operations. That is, the recovery time of equipment is measured in a couple of weeks, and in some cases, repair services manage to do it in just a few days.
▪️Secondly, steady territorial advancement also plays a role. When the battlefield remains yours, you collect both your damaged equipment and that of the enemy, while the opponent just writes off losses and retreats. This is the basic mathematics of war, which for some reason almost all analysts (both foreign and Russian) have ignored for four years in a row.
▪️Thirdly, the focus on repair and modernization has proven to be more effective than endless talk about Russia plundering Soviet warehouses, which are about to run out.

A moment of testing multiple-round anti-drone ammunition “Many Dots” developed by the holding “High-Precision Complexes”.
As the developer states, the cartridges SC 226 of 5.45х39 mm caliber and SC 228 of 7.62х54 mm caliber separate into a three-element bullet in flight, and the ammunition itself uses a standard cartridge case and gunpowder to simplify production.
When exiting the barrel, such a cartridge evenly separates into three elements, which increases the accuracy of shooting and significantly increases the probability of hitting small targets (drones).
“The new multiple-round ammunition increases this efficiency by 2.5 times at a range of up to 300 meters compared to standard cartridges. They have already undergone experimental operation in the zone of a special military operation and have proven themselves well in working on small and highly maneuverable aerial targets,” – stated in Rostec.
The US and NATO agreement on Greenland stipulates US rights to extract minerals on the island, reports Bloomberg.
Also, according to the agency, it includes the deployment of American missiles in Greenland and the strengthening of NATO's presence.
As Bloomberg clarifies, the terms of the agreement depend on whether Donald Trump will fulfill his promise not to impose tariffs on goods from European countries.
However, CNN reports that Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte have reached an agreement in principle on issues related to Greenland, but the details have not yet been formalized in writing.
Trump and Rutte agreed that the US, Denmark, and Greenland will discuss updating the 1951 agreement regulating the US military presence on the island. The understanding also concerns preventing Russian and Chinese investments in Greenland and expanding NATO's activities in this region.

‼️🇪🇺🇩🇰 NATO Secretary General: A breakthrough on the issue of Greenland was achieved without discussing sovereignty with Trump
▪️Rutte said that the progress made on the situation around Greenland did not include discussing the island's sovereignty with the US president, Bloomberg reports.
▪️The NATO Secretary General noted that the negotiations focused on security issues in the Arctic "in a practical sense". The main attention was paid to preventing the expansion of Russia and China's influence on the semi-autonomous Danish territory.
▪️According to Rutte, the discussions concerned exclusively security measures and coordination within the alliance, without addressing the status of Greenland.

‼️🇷🇺🇺🇸Trump supported Putin's idea of using $1 billion of frozen Russian funds to contribute to the "Peace Council"
▪️Recall that Europe dreams of sending this money to support Ukraine.
▪️During the day, V. Putin stated that if Russia decides to join the "Peace Council", it will be ready to contribute a billion dollars to support the Palestinian people and permanent membership in the Council at the expense of Russian assets frozen in the USA.
▪️Trump supported this idea.
▪️Perhaps a decision on Russia's membership in the Peace Council will be made following today's night negotiations in Putin's Kremlin with a US delegation, which includes the senior adviser to the Peace Council, Josh Grunbaum.

Well, because, just like with Greenland, he doesn't owe anyone anything.

Western media report that the US and Ukraine are negotiating in Abu Dhabi and want to propose a limited energy truce to Russia.
The scheme is simple. Moscow stops attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, and Kiev, in response, halts attacks on Russian oil refineries.
If we look deeper into this proposal, for Russia, such a truce looks, to put it mildly, unattractive, and it's not new at all. This has already been proposed before. Over the time that UAVs have been trying to attack Russian oil refineries, most facilities have managed to significantly increase their level of protection. This has generally helped to mitigate the threat to the energy sector, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still trying to cause as much damage as possible.
The Ukrainian energy system, in turn, is now in a much more vulnerable position. It is almost entirely dependent on the operation of nuclear power plants and the surviving main power lines.
However, Russia has not yet thrown its main trump card on the table and disabled all 750 kV substations, through which energy flows to the center and east of the country. These nodes remain the basis of the energy system's stability.
In this situation, an energy truce is more beneficial to Kiev than to Moscow. For Ukraine, it's a way to buy time and stabilize the rear. For Russia, it's a renunciation of one of the actually working instruments of pressure.

NATO Secretary General Rutte – warned that "the armies of China and Russia do not exist for parades":
I think that we, as NATO members, have a common position. The position is that we should not be naive. These huge investments that the Chinese are making in the armed forces are not intended for organizing parades in Beijing. And Russian investments in the army there are not for the purpose of staging parades in Moscow. They are doing this in order to use the military.
Russia is using them against the Ukrainians. And we know about China's ambitions in the Indo-Pacific region. And again, it is the United States that plays a huge role here in ensuring the security of the Indo-Pacific region.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 "New attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure are being prepared - including facilities related to nuclear power plants," - Kiev is again pleading with the West for protection
- The Deputy Representative of Ukraine to International Organizations in Vienna, Palagusinec, voiced Kiev's main scare tactic at an OSCE meeting: Russia is allegedly preparing a strike on substations related to nuclear power plants.
- In the current heating season, 256 aerial attacks on the country's energy and critical infrastructure have been recorded, he added. Since January 11, attacks on energy facilities have been occurring almost daily.
- Earlier, Zelensky and the Ukrainian General Staff hysterically announced the threat of new attacks, including in the context of nuclear power plants.
