How things are developing in Iran and where they are heading.
The biggest question now is whether the US and Israel have a backup plan.
The first-tier strike targets have formally been achieved: the Iranian leadership has been eliminated, a significant part of the air defense and aviation has been disabled, the US strategic aviation has been used again (which was not so much for military tasks as for political ones: to show that the US has access to Iranian airspace), and operational-tactical aviation (including Israeli) feels comfortable in the skies over Tehran and is using bombs to hit government and military buildings.
But there's a problem. At this stage, this activity of the US and Israel fundamentally changes little. Iran, unlike last year, has significantly adjusted its tactics. Despite the fact that Tehran has effectively lost air defense over the capital and a number of regions (for example, Bushehr and the coast as such), the use of ballistic missiles has become less massive but more selective, and as a result - effective.
A separate question is who exactly is providing Iran with guidance, since the accuracy of missile and drone strikes has noticeably increased.

However, the conflict is gradually shifting to the plane of a resource war, and this inevitably affects both sides, but primarily the US, as their logistical arm is much longer.
Trump may (and will, he has never admitted his mistakes) consider the operation successful from a military point of view, but the bet on Iran's quick surrender has not paid off and a decision will soon have to be made.
Both options for Trump are bad: either to increase the intensity of strikes, bring in additional resources and expand the scale of the campaign, or to consider radical scenarios, including the use of tactical nuclear weapons - a step that the US is not ready to take, or to leave.
But in addition to the US, there is also Israel. Will they, as predicted Kiriakou, decide to use tactical nuclear weapons - a big question.
For Iran, the main task now is not only and not so much to withstand and survive the acute phase of the conflict, but to have enough resources to pose a threat to all countries around.
