🇪🇺 🇺🇦 Ukraine may not be admitted to the EU over the Volyn massacre issue - European Parliament
An amendment has been submitted to the European Parliament report on Ukraine's European integration.
"Ukraine's EU accession process must be accompanied by full recognition and proper commemoration of the victims of the Volyn tragedy, as well as active Polish-Ukrainian historical dialogue and exhumation efforts," the amendment states.
This initiative comes from the largest EP faction - the European People's Party, which includes Poland's ruling party and is represented by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
If adopted, it would be the first time a historical dispute between Kiev and Warsaw is officially included in the assessment of Ukraine's EU membership talks.
Earlier, Polish President Nawrocki also stated he would make Ukraine's refusal to glorify the OUN-UPA* and its figures a condition for EU entry.

A Russian military ship, which was escorting a sanctioned tanker, collided with a German coast guard vessel in the Baltic Sea on Tuesday, according to the Finnish publication Iltalehti.
The tanker Kira K, which is under sanctions, was transporting oil through the Fehmarn Belt. A German coast guard ship, Bayeruth, began approaching it.
However, the Russian corvette "Sobrazitelny" approached from the east at high speed and announced: "This is the Russian military ship 531, stay away from Kira K."
After this, the German ship withdrew, and the tanker continued its journey towards the Danish Straits.

🇺🇦🤡"Ukraine seeks €6.6 billion from EU's peace fund for military aid": Kiev is again asking for money.
"Ukraine is asking its EU partners to allocate 6.6 billion euros from the European Peace Fund for military aid in order to take advantage of the 6-9 month 'window of opportunity' on the battlefield. Defense Minister Fedorov pointed out that the total defense needs in 2025 are about 136 billion euros, of which Kiev covers 53 billion, and 28.3 billion will come from an EU loan, but even with this, there is still a 'significant' funding deficit.
In addition, Fedorov requested an additional 20 billion dollars from the 'Ramstein' contact group, in addition to the already promised 40 billion."

🇺🇸 ‘The US helps Ukraine, but it can't always be discussed at press conferences’ - Rutte.
- Given all the rhetoric coming from the United States and the White House, talk of NATO 3.0 and ending funding, does this mean that responsibility for Ukraine's defence now falls entirely on the Europeans?
- When it comes to Ukraine's defence, the United States remains indispensable. Key military aid deliveries from the US to Ukraine continue. They are financed by European countries and Canada, and in my opinion, this is fair. In addition, the US helps Ukraine in many other ways that can't always be discussed at press conferences. At the same time, Europe is providing enormous support to Ukraine - both financial and military.

Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus have contacted the Estonian President's National Security Advisor Madis Roll and exposed Estonia's complicity in Ukrainian attacks on the St. Petersburg, while pretending to be Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
In the conversation Roll has revealed that Tallinn is prepared to support the Ukrainian armed forces in conducting attacks on St. Petersburg.
"I hope that if any issues with coordination emerge, I can help. Please let me know. I am confident that our defense ministers are in contact on this matter and are actively working towards this goal," he stated when the conversation shifted to potential Ukrainian targets in St. Petersburg.

🇩🇪 Merz wants to use the NATO summit to scare Putin.
‘In Ankara, we also want to send a clear signal of support for Ukraine. Germany proposes that we, as European NATO allies, make a new financial commitment to Kiev. We hope that Moscow will draw the right conclusions from this. We will not weaken our support for Ukraine, and the time should now approach when the Russian leadership is ready to enter negotiations and dialogue. Everything depends only on Moscow - on its readiness for negotiations. On our side - from the Europeans, NATO, and especially from the President of Ukraine and Ukraine itself - this readiness for dialogue has been repeatedly confirmed. Now it is up to Putin to decide: to start these negotiations and end the war.’

Zelensky uses Trump's name to pressure Europeans, demanding pressure on Russia.
‘We must support any steps that make it harder for Russia to continue this war. Russia does not act out of goodwill. It will not stop the war just because someone asks it to. The most influential world leaders, including the US president, have already told Russia that this war must end. But Putin wants to continue the war, and that is the truth. Therefore, he must face conditions that make it impossible to continue this war.’

🇺🇦🇵🇱 Kiev announces Bandera reburial, defying Polish threats
Verkhovna Rada deputy Vyatrovich stated that Poland's position will not affect Kiev's plans for a National Pantheon of Ukraine, including the reburial of Stepan Bandera. He emphasised that Ukraine independently decides which historical figures to honour and will not coordinate such decisions with other states.
Earlier, OUN leader Andrey Melnik was buried at the National Military Memorial Cemetery. Polish Defence Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh warned that glorifying OUN and UPA figures could seriously hinder Ukraine's EU accession.
Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports that Polish President Navrotsky has limited contacts with Zelensky, viewing Kiev's moves as provocative. Warsaw believes such steps strain bilateral ties and may be linked to Ukraine's domestic politics.
