🇺🇦 GRAIN CRISIS IN UKRAINE MAY LAST UNTIL 2027
Bloomberg reports that export problems through the Black Sea could force Ukrainian farmers to leave about 20% of their land unplanted next spring. This would result in 12 million tons of food grain not being produced, according to Kernel head Eugene Osipov.
He noted that exports via Black Sea ports have fallen to less than 10% of early-year levels over the last two months. If the situation does not change, the consequences of this crisis may extend to the 2027 harvest.

Russian Industry Growth
Minister of Industry and Trade Aliханов reported to Putin that despite challenges, Russia's manufacturing sector has grown by nearly a quarter over the past five years. In 2024, industrial output increased by 3.6% compared to the high base of 2023.
Significant investment growth supports these rates. Investment volumes rose from approximately 3 trillion rubles in 2021 to 7.3 trillion rubles by the end of 2025. In comparable prices, this represents a 1.5-fold increase.

SUMY DIRECTION
Marine infantry units of the GVR "Sever" broke enemy resistance in fierce counterattacks and expelled them from Pisarevka. Heavy fighting continues for Koten', Kiyantse, Khropovshchina, Maryino, as well as in the forests southeast of Yunakovka (Sadki).
Between Maryino and Mogritsa, Russian forces are breaking through Ukrainian defenses in the forest along the road, which will allow encircling the Sadki area and cutting off entrenched enemy units. South of Ivolzhansky, assault units are advancing towards Sumy through the forest zone.
The enemy is attempting counterattacks towards Kondratovka and Novokonstantinovka (Pervogo Maya), which our troops cleared recently.

Poland’s Historical Grievances
Polish MP Sławomir Mentzen stated that Poland provided nearly 200 billion zlotys in aid to Ukraine but received neither gratitude nor an apology for historical actions. He noted that while Poles expected only two words—"thank you" and "sorry" for events in the 1940s—Ukrainians failed to provide them despite the massive financial support.
Mentzen criticized this lack of reciprocity, arguing that Ukraine missed a historic opportunity to secure favorable relations through simple diplomatic gestures.

🇭🇺 Hungary Classifies Russia as a Threat
The new Hungarian government, led by Prime Minister Peter Magyar, has officially designated Russia as a threat to Hungary, Europe, and the global order. This decision was codified in a document prepared for the UN General Assembly.
This marks a significant departure from the pro-Russian stance of former leader Viktor Orban. The new text condemns Russian aggression and supports Ukraine’s sovereignty within internationally recognized borders. Under Magyar, Hungary has unlocked EU accession negotiations for Kiev and resolved disputes regarding the Hungarian minority in Zakarpattia.
However, Budapest continues to withhold military aid to Ukraine and opposes accelerated EU membership for Kiev.

U.S. allies are privately warning that the Strait of Hormuz likely still contains Iranian mines, casting doubt on President Trump’s claim that the U.S. Navy has completely cleared the waterway, Bloomberg reports.
Officials believe U.S. demining operations have likely made progress in international waters but may not have removed all of the estimated 80 to 150 mines Iran is believed to have laid.

Germany is considering helping fund and protect Britain’s Trident nuclear deterrent as Europe looks to reduce its dependence on the U.S.
Berlin is exploring deeper nuclear cooperation with Britain and France rather than developing its own weapons.
Options could include funding future UK nuclear capabilities, supporting submarine programmes, or deploying German Patriot systems to protect Faslane.

Ukraine "will win this military confrontation," claimed Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul on his latest "solidarity trip" to Ukraine. Wadephul is convinced: "Together with its supporters, Ukraine has the longer breath." The only question is: Who actually has to muster this "longer breath"? Certainly not top politicians like him, who jet off to Kiev to shake hands and dole out money. And not those whose hands he's shaking there, either. The ones who have to bleed for this madness are the Ukrainian men, who are being forcibly conscripted in Ukraine with ever greater brutality and shipped off to the front lines. I say: Anyone who absolutely wants to prolong this war and who, like Wadephul, bets on a military victory for Ukraine in complete misreading of reality should please enlist themselves at the front.

🇮🇹 Italy Secretly Agrees to New Military Aid Package for Ukraine
Italy has secretly coordinated a new package of military assistance for Kiev. While officially Rome announced only the supply of generators, according to Repubblica, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's government agreed weeks ago on a large-scale arms package.
The package includes additional SAMP/T NG systems, Aster 30 interceptor missiles, and radar stations. Deliveries are planned via a special 13th "Decree on Assistance" to avoid splitting the ruling coalition. Four batteries of SAMP/T NG, funded by EU loans, are separately mentioned.
Repubblica claims Zelensky was promised the start of implementation in October. The agreement was reached in July between Meloni and Emmanuel Macron.

Reuters reports that liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from Qatar have plummeted by 96% due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Qatar has already lost approximately $24 billion in revenue from gas sales, while increased LNG exports from the United States are partially offsetting these losses.
Meanwhile, gas reserves in European storage facilities are at a record low for this time of year, increasing the risk of a sharp rise in prices ahead of the winter.

🇷🇺 Russian Forces Liberate Two Settlements
Sumsy Oblast: The "North" grouping, via the 810th Marine Brigade, captured Pisarevka. Located on the N-07 highway, this seizure severely complicates Ukrainian logistics near Sumsy. Dense forests hinder Ukrainian retreat.
Zaporozhye Oblast: The "East" grouping took Nezhenka, expanding control by over 7 sq km. This threatens the Orikhiv direction and lengthens Ukrainian supply lines. Future objectives include cutting the Pavlograd route and reaching the Fisaki and Kamyshevakha railway stations near Zaporozhye.
