Ukrainian drone operator killed in Dobropolye sector

This incident is significant for the Dobropolye direction, which is heavily saturated with Ukrainian unmanned systems. It underscores that Ukrainian drone operators cannot work safely against FAB bombs, for which the AFU lacks effective countermeasures.
Hundreds of FABS fall everyday and drones/men are guiding the targeting. Ukraine likes to pretend these are empty buildings to cope, pretending that drones and satellites don't see everything. Not to mention the electronic signatures drone teams give off.

Russia has a large reserve for scaling up the use of new compact "Dan-T" missiles. Almost no additional work is needed, as the predecessor "Dan-M" was already tested in 2013 for helicopter deployment. Two Mi-8MT helicopters were converted to carry unmanned targets, and later footage showed "Dan-M" launches directly from a Mi-8.
The mass availability of the Mi-8/17, the most numerous helicopter type in Russian army aviation, allows for near-round-the-clock missile application. Air launch partially removes ground-based restrictions: the missile begins its flight at altitude with the carrier's initial speed, saving fuel and potentially extending effective range.

Order of Courage awarded posthumously to Anatoly Chernyshov
