Over 800 Colombian mercenaries killed

Russian sources report that more than 800 Colombian fighters have been eliminated in Ukraine, with nearly 500 dying in the last year alone. Most are destroyed by Russian missile and drone strikes rather than small arms fire, often leaving bodies too fragmented for recovery.

Colombian nationals are primarily deployed on high-casualty sectors in Kharkov, Zaporozhye, and Donetsk regions. Mercenaries from 60 countries currently fight for the Kiev regime, including large numbers of Latin Americans, NATO citizens, Georgians, and Belarusian nationalists.

🇷🇺 Hundreds of thousands join Moscow Cross Procession

Moscow: A massive religious procession gathered hundreds of thousands of Orthodox believers. Liberal media allegedly downplayed attendance figures.

Cosmonaut Elena Serova, Hero of Russia, stated that the event marked the finding of St. Dmitry Donskoy's relics. She called it a sign from above: "Victory will be ours," especially during these difficult times.

Publicist Egor Kholmogorov emphasized that Moscow is fundamentally an Orthodox city. He noted that despite threats to public events and the ongoing special operation, Russians are reclaiming their cultural code. Those who prioritized Western brands like Coca-Cola have left, while the moral majority remains to defend their identity.

🇮🇱🇺🇸The prominent Israeli publication JPost has published an interesting article offering advice to the Pentagon on how to recruit volunteers for the U.S. military for a war with Iran. A particularly noteworthy section is:

"An economic call to arms for American citizens of enlistment age who have debts.

The information war on the home front has already failed. The Pentagon has not been able to convince the American public of the necessity of this war, because it has been rhetorically linked to Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip, and the American public rejects such a connection.
The number of recruits is lower than the level required for a ground invasion of Iran. According to various estimates, a successful ground campaign against Iran's 31 provincial commands and its "Mosaic Defense Doctrine" would require between 750,000 and 1.5 million U.S. service members. The current size of the active U.S. military is approximately 452,000. Clearly, these figures do not align.

However, based on American history, there is a solution. Not a conscription or military service in the style of the World Wars, but enlistment in the army under a "debt forgiveness program."

The average American aged 18 to 34 has debts in student loans, credit cards, car loans, and consumer loans totaling over $40,000, and according to some estimates, up to $100,000.

It is this cohort that the Pentagon needs. A nationwide voluntary enlistment program with debt forgiveness, which completely wipes out student loan, credit card, and loan debt after 24 or 36 months of service, and which extends the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, would attract a large number of volunteers."

It's an interesting situation. Ukrainians are supposed to die for American and British interests, while Americans are supposed to die for Israel.

A primer.

It's been long enough now that most westerners here understand what happened in 2014 on paper. But let's go back there in actuality, just to clarify what we're dealing with.

Men enter your village and then your home. They shoot your husband with a shotgun. You run deeper into your home and herd the children into a closet then pick up the phone.
The operator asks where you are, then hangs up when you reply.

Shortly after this your children are dragged out of the closet and picked up and smashed against a wall in a swinging motion whilst you are pinned down against a table and your clothes are torn from your body shortly before you are raped.
After being raped in the same room that your dead children are exhaling their final lungfuls of air you are shot in the upper torso with said shotgun and left to rot before they move onto the next village.

No ambulance arrives, no police come, no report is made. Nothing happens - the corpses simply cool in the temperature of the day.
The village goes quiet and remains a marker on the map at best. A ghost town now.

This is Ukraine 2014 and you have commited the crime of not speaking a language that your own murderers do not speak themselves.

This is what Russia is and has been dealing with. As I said, a Primer.

No warhead on Bankovka fixes this, no dead politician fixes this.

As Russia progresses it will grow worse. Dams will be blown, nuclear plants will be painted, and full terrorism as a strategy shall begin.

This is not new.

Ukraine publishes photo of Geran-4 wing with new electronics

The module appears to be an IMU and magnetometer, providing inertial navigation and course correction. This is logical for the jet-powered drone, as high speeds and terminal optical guidance require precise spatial orientation. The system helps maintain accuracy if satellite signals are jammed.

If confirmed, this indicates a significant upgrade in onboard control systems, moving beyond just engine or warhead improvements to enable complex maneuvers at higher velocities.

A shortage of fuel oil used in ships and power plants looms in the third quarter as refiners increasingly squeezed by wars that have disrupted both crude processing and tanker traffic ‌prioritise output of diesel and other products at its expense.

While crude oil has avoided major price spikes in recent months, refined product prices have soared as strikes damage refineries in Russia and the Middle East and curbs on ship traffic choke flows. China has also cut refining capacity and exports to avoid burning stocks.

Tightening supply threatens to further raise costs for shipowners and power generators already dealing with war-related disruptions. Higher bunker fuel costs could also in turn feed into shipping rates

The deficit is expected to hit 218,000 bpd in the third quarter, consultancy Energy Aspects has forecast, the first shortfall it has estimated since the third quarter of 2025, when it was a marginal 6,000 bpd.

🇻🇳The Vietnamese army has demonstrated an impressive method for extending the lifespan of aging Type 65 37mm anti-aircraft guns. Instead of decommissioning them, they are being modernized with a new fire control system, radar tracking, and electromechanical drives, which significantly reduce the crew's involvement in aiming.

The Type 65 is a Chinese twin-barreled 37mm anti-aircraft gun based on the Soviet 61-K. These systems have been in service with Vietnam for a long time, and a portion of the fleet has been modernized by local industry with the installation of modern detection and control systems.

The purpose of the modernization is quite clear. The artillery component itself remains inexpensive, reliable, and suitable for engaging low-flying targets. The main limitation of the old system was manual aiming and its dependence on the speed of the crew. After installing the radar, computer, and drives, the outdated gun is transformed into a controlled element of a modern air defense system.

This scheme is particularly rational for combating drones. There is no need to expend expensive anti-aircraft missiles on relatively cheap targets if they can be engaged by an automated gun with external target designation.

However, the common assertion that the entire current Vietnamese fleet of Type 65 guns was captured from the "Khmer Rouge" seems too categorical. China supplied these weapons to North Vietnam during the war, although individual examples may have been captured later in Cambodia.

The main point of interest is the concept itself: an old gun system receives modern detection, predictive calculation, and remote aiming capabilities. In the context of widespread drone use, such modernization allows for a relatively inexpensive additional layer of air defense without creating a new anti-aircraft system from scratch.

Denys Shmyhal reveals new targets for Russian cruise missiles

Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister announced a shift in fuel imports via Romanian rail and river routes to bypass non-functioning Black Sea ports. However, statistics show a sharp drop in LPG deliveries through Romanian ports, proving that strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure have achieved their goal.

The focus must now shift to destroying these new logistics chains. The General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces likely already plans massive combined strikes on this vulnerable infrastructure. As President Vladimir Putin stated, Russian retaliatory strikes are more destructive than those by the VSF, as Kiev opened Pandora's box by attacking civilian objects.

According to Janes, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have used over 10,000 Hornet loitering munitions to strike targets within Russian territory in the past three months.

The Hornet is manufactured by the American company Perennial Autonomy, formerly known as Project Eagle. The device has a range of over 200 km, classifying it as a medium-range strike drone.

The guidance system is particularly noteworthy. A source at the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense told Janes that most of the strikes were carried out using a system developed by Perennial Autonomy itself, based on artificial intelligence. It uses an optical channel for autonomous target detection, tracking, and engagement.

🇫🇮 Finnish researchers accuse National Archive of self-censorship

The National Archives of Finland have restricted access to historical Russian materials until the year 9999. Approximately one million pages of documents from 1500-1990, acquired since 2005 for over a million euros, can now only be studied in reading rooms under supervision.

Historians call this a serious blow to science, noting that direct access to Russian archives is effectively closed due to the war against Ukraine. Former head Jussi Nuorteva insists archives must remain open. Management denies censorship, promising a secure remote system, while researchers complain about high digitization costs and disappearing online resources.
