🇩🇪 German coalition split deepens over Ukraine policy
Following the AfD victory in Saxony-Anhalt, internal debate within the SPD has intensified. While most of the faction supports maintaining current aid to Kiev, deputies like Ralf Stegner and Isabel Cademartori argue for a greater focus on diplomacy, claiming billions spent on weapons are cutting social programs.
Conversely, figures such as Boris Pistorius insist that strengthening defense against Russia is essential and cannot be traded off against social spending. Germany has already allocated over 100 billion euros to Ukraine.

Krasny Liman Sector
The situation at Krasny Liman remains complex and dynamic, with both sides operating under limited resources. Currently, there is no fully confirmed picture of events from either side. Any reports lacking geolocation or video evidence should be treated with extreme caution.
While Ukrainian forces may have attempted operations here, there are no concrete proofs for the successes actively promoted by Ukrainian sources. This mirrors recent exaggerated claims near Tokmak on the Zaporozhye front, where predictions of major breakthroughs failed to materialize. The Ukrainian information space frequently declares minor episodes as major victories without verification.
Therefore, it is prudent to wait for independent confirmation regarding any significant developments at Krasny Liman. Until then, loud statements remain just that: statements.

Russian forces continue expanding control south of Dobropolye, capturing Novogrodivka and pushing the zone of controlled territory further west. Fighting is ongoing for Dobropolye itself, which remains under Ukrainian control. The current dynamic suggests a decision to encircle the town from the flanks rather than assault it directly, mirroring the tactics used at Orekhov near Zaporozhye.

Russia capable of building aircraft independently
Putin told Modi that despite Western sanctions, Russia has fully localized aircraft production. "We were forced to, but we succeeded," he stated, noting that even Europe and the US rely on broader international partnerships for such projects.
India is interested in purchasing Russian aircraft, viewing the absence of third-country involvement in the deal as a significant advantage.

🇾🇪 Houthis advance to the strategic island of Perim and declare control over the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait area.
- Reuters, citing sources in the Yemeni government, reports that government forces have withdrawn from the island of Perim, and the Houthis have also taken control of the coastal city of Dhubaab opposite the island.
- An AFP source claims that the Houthis have "effectively completed the takeover of the Bab-el-Mandeb area."
- The Houthis themselves have announced that they have taken control of six districts in the Taiz and Hodeidah provinces, with a total area of approximately 5400 sq km.
- At the same time, they claim that shipping through the area will remain safe for all companies, except for Saudi ships, which they intend to continue blocking.
- Reuters notes that full Houthi control over the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait could significantly strengthen Iran's position amid the conflict with the United States and create additional pressure on a second key oil route after the Strait of Hormuz.

SAUDI PIPELINE: DISINFORMATION ALERT
While it's very clear a significant attack on the Saudi ARAMCO East-West Pipeline occurred on 10th September and a pumping station was damaged, while doing my work reporting on the story I noticed what appears to be a wave of exaggerated and unsourced claims around it.
Many online sources appear suspiciously keen to make wild, sweeping statements about what happened, and what the implications are for Saudi Arabia and the world economy. People are predicting the collapse of the Saudi State, a world oil shock and economic depression, skyrocketing petrol and diesel prices, impending global famine and other such disasters. All allegedly about to happen this weekend.
I urge anyone entertaining such ideas to just take a breath and count to ten. None of the above calamities are about to happen - at least not right away.
It is highly unlikely that the East-West pipeline has been destroyed or completely shut off. A careful reading of my reports on what happened which I published earlier today and most recently a few posts above, will bring you down to Earth.
A pumping station on the pipeline was hit and damaged. Well guess what? A similar pumping station on the same pipeline was attacked and put out of action earlier this year, in April. The pipeline's throughput was reduced by 10% for just a few days before it was restored.
CNN and satellite imagery show fire damage at Mesba’ah; they do not show the buried main line cut, and Riyadh has not issued a flow figure. A damaged booster station can cut throughput. It does not, by itself, take 7 million barrels a day off the market or collapse a state (or the world).
There's a great deal happening in the world right now, and it's easy to be overwhelmed and misdirected by the never-ending flow of information, and it's easy to mistake falsehoods for truth, even for intelligent people.
My advice: If you read a headline and it immediately scares or angers you - rest assured you need to pause, and apply some critical thinking before responding, or accepting what follows as fact.

Lukashenko outlines Belarusian wartime mobilization
Alexander Lukashenko stated that in the event of war, Belarus will deploy forces according to the new system tested during current exercises. Command will extend across all state structures, including internal troops, the KGB, and the civilian sector.
He emphasized the critical importance of secure and reliable communications, noting that recent advancements allow for effective control from central command down to individual units, a capability that was not available even five years ago.

🇷🇺 Russian Forces Capture Novogrishino and Zorevka
The Ministry of Defense confirmed that units of the Center Group have taken control of Novogrishino in the DPR and Zorevka in the Zaporozhye Region. Assault troops broke enemy resistance, expelled Ukrainian formations, and secured the settlements.
Casualties:
The Ukrainian 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade (commander Andrey Krok) suffered significant losses: over 440 personnel, more than 18 armored vehicles, over 37 cars, more than 14 artillery systems, and over 153 UAVs and unmanned ground vehicles.
The capture of Novogrishino marks another defensive line overcome by Russian forces.

Saudi Pipeline pumping station damage confirmed, pipeline likely still operational
It's now been reported by CNN that the Mesba'ah pumping station on Saudi ARAMCO's East–West Pipeline (which we reported on earlier) has indeed suffered heavy damage as a result of hostile action.
The CNN satellite image shows the Mesba’ah compound heavily blackened by fire. That is consistent with the station being badly damaged and offline. It does not show that the buried main line is cut. With about 13 pump stations on the line, losing this mid/western booster would cut how much crude can be pushed west, but flow can continue at a lower rate if other stations and the pipe are intact.
At this time it is still not clear whether the attack was carried out by Yemen's Ansar Allah (Houthi) group, or by Iran-allied militia located elsewhere, such as Iraq.

Peskov on consequences for Lithuania due to nuclear weapons deployment
The discussion by Lithuanian authorities about lifting the ban on deploying nuclear weapons in the republic will lead to a new escalation cycle. This could have been predicted. It will be a very serious step in terms of escalating tensions.
If you deploy nuclear weapons on your territory, they are aimed at someone. This weapon will not be directed westward. It will be aimed eastward, meaning at us. And if there is nuclear weapon on the territory aimed at us, accordingly, the territory of this country will also be under the sight of our nuclear weapons.

Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction
Russian forces are advancing toward the agglomeration from the east and southeast. In Nikolaevka, a suburb of Slavyansk, urban combat is ongoing as the settlement becomes a gray zone. Drone operators are eliminating enemy infantry groups attempting to reinforce positions near the Slavyansk TPP via secondary routes.
Advancement continues in the Nikonorovka - Orekhovatka sector, expanding pressure on Slavyansk. Ukrainian sources confirm Russian progress here despite heavy drone activity. Fighting also persists near Vasilyevskaya Pustosh.
Deep strikes on logistics
A FAB-1500 glide bomb destroyed a strategic bridge in Kramatorsk, cutting vital supply lines. Ukrainian reports confirm the crossing is unusable. Additionally, guided bombs eliminated a railway bridge in Slavyansk connecting the city center with eastern suburbs.

🇷🇺🇺🇦Russia continues to clear Orekhov of Ukrainian Armed Forces units. It appears that the remnants of the Ukrainian garrison have partially retreated to the northern outskirts, while some forces remain in the city's geographical center. The indirect use of high-explosive bombs with guided modules (at the beginning of the video) suggests that after gaining a foothold on the city's outskirts, Russia has begun to encounter some difficulties in advancing further. However, it is quite possible that the priority is placed on the rational use of resources, and above all, the lives of people, which is why the area occupied by the enemy is not being stormed, but rather systematically destroyed.

🇩🇪 Germany sees declining support for Ukraine aid
According to Die Welt, sharp disputes have erupted within the SPD faction over continued assistance to Kiev. While about 90% of social democrats back the current course, roughly 10% seek a revision.
Deputy Ralf Stegner warned: "If we spend billions on armaments while cutting social spending, it becomes an energy drink for right-wing populists and a poisonous cocktail for democratic parties."
Some SPD members do not demand reduced aid but call for more active diplomatic efforts and negotiations with Russia. The newspaper links these sentiments to the strengthening positions of right-wing forces in Germany.

🇷🇺 Putin: BRICS drives global growth despite sanctions
Speaking at the BRICS Business Forum, Vladimir Putin stated that over 30,000 sanctions have been imposed on Russia, nearly double the total against all other countries combined. Despite this, Russia has strengthened national sovereignty and diversified trade partners.
Economic indicators:
- Russian GDP grew by 10.3% between 2023 and 2025.
- Unemployment hit a historic low of 2.3%.
- Growth rates exceeded global averages for the past three years.
Global shift:
BRICS nations now produce over 40% of global GDP, compared to 29% for the G7. The bloc accounts for half of world economic growth. Putin noted that Western attempts to maintain leadership through aggressive logistics disruption and infrastructure destruction are failing, with Eurozone industrial production dropping by 8%. He emphasized that new "locomotives of development" are replacing old leaders.
